I am so happy with the choice! Maybe we get to see an edited footage (with a commentary but oh well) that's ready for a release (maybe one day). The voting results in general are interesting! It's practically all her recent stuff which means people enjoy it and it's relevant to them. I love it!

Chris_Duvall 11th June 2020 12:28 PM

This was my first choice too. Really happy with it!

Earth_maiden 11th June 2020 01:59 PM

Is anyone going to be purchasing this? I am hoping to but I have no idea how to record or anything.

Aderianu 11th June 2020 02:04 PM

^I'm going. Never used mu-mo before, so I don't know if I'll be able to download original video file. At least I can try to record the screen %)

~angel*ayumi~ 11th June 2020 02:05 PM

I am busy on saturaday, so I won´t try it.

attractive nausea 11th June 2020 02:07 PM

Honestly I don’t want to pay if someone can record it and post it afterwards lol
Plus, I would like to see this concert with new angles and stuff but Ayu and the team talking over it makes it impossible to follow, if you don’t understand japanese there is no point.

The ranking is interesting because the first two places are shows that haven’t been released as DVDs, which I hope Ayu and her team get the message that fans want these unreleased shows released at some point.

ExodusUK 11th June 2020 03:06 PM

Maybe someone can dub the audio from the tv version over this version lol

truehappiness 11th June 2020 11:52 PM

It seems people only really voted because they wanted to see the non-TV versions of the two CDLs?

https://i.imgur.com/YBV1kVt.png

They were both ahead by quite a bit.

Well, and there is also the fact that if this commentary is with the dancers, how would they even be able to do commentaries for her early shows that they weren't even a part of? Makes me wonder if any of the early tours actually had a real shot at this.

truehappiness 12th June 2020 06:51 AM

They could probably pose questions to Ayu at least if they weren't part of the shows. A large amount of the dancers even from 2017 and before would not have been part of the shows. At this point I think only Midoring has been around for nearly everything then for guys it's ZIN, Subaru... and that's it?

Aderianu 12th June 2020 09:56 AM

If I remember it right, Zin and Subaru began to work with ayu at CDL 2004-2005.
I want to see comments for Concert tour 2000. Since it's first tour, it will be very interesting to know what ayu thinks about it now. But you guys are right, she probably will be the only one who will talk

chocopockymaster 12th June 2020 10:45 AM

Who’s to say her team couldn’t have reached out to some of the dancers from the old days though and asked them to contribute to commentary for earlier shows?

Aderianu 12th June 2020 12:51 PM

^that's nice idea for something like 30th anniversary. To meet with old dancers and discuss different lives

ExodusUK 12th June 2020 01:44 PM

They could still have her dancers comment on concert tour 2000 "what the hell is this fly high performance" or "why are there only 6 dancers on stage instead of 60"

ulfy01 12th June 2020 02:43 PM

Wait, is it a special edited version of the live? I'll pay for that if it is.

Edit: I'm confused. Will Ayu be commentating the whole concert? What is it we're buying?

DavidChaiLatte 12th June 2020 04:58 PM

I wonder if Ayu will ever comment on her vocal performance since she sounded quite hoarse during CDL 16-17

It will be video like CDL digest shown few days ago. Ayu and her dancers will discuss the show

Chris85 13th June 2020 12:51 AM

She's done so many shows. I wonder if she really remembers much about certain ones at this point.

EndOfTheWorld 13th June 2020 01:47 AM

I was expecting different results..:grumpy
I love this concept a lot but without English subs I can't really enjoy it.

ulfy01 13th June 2020 02:33 AM

I guess what I'm not sure about is will she be doing commentary on the entire concert or just 4-5 songs like the CDL?

Aderianu 13th June 2020 11:23 AM

Video has better angles, it's different from the re-edit version broadcasted on TV. Good to see that cute section with Angel's song is not cut

And answering the question ^ it's full show, 2hr long

Chris85 13th June 2020 11:43 AM

^ Thanks for the info!

junshen 13th June 2020 11:48 AM

I just upload the full show at download session

TheRainbow 13th June 2020 11:56 AM

Can’t watch yet, but did they fix the crown moment in kanariya? Lol

Good to know that it has different angles!! Since they have already put in that effort to edit and such, why don’t they just release that dvd/bluray already?

Just started watching and I can already answer my own question: she doesn't even remember if this CDL had 2 or 3 dates.:D

I'm thinking some of these have been held back in order to release some sort of live collection at some point.

attractive nausea 13th June 2020 05:38 PM

^ I hope you're right, can't wait for all those unreleased lives to get a DVD release.

They did! It looks really cool now.

They did! It looks really cool now.

Yeah, at this point it's a lot: TA Tour 2016, JTB Countdown Live, Trouble countdown live, Power of Music 2018, JTB Chapter 2, any section of the trouble tour. Am I missing any?

Watching the commentary countdown live - seems like they made it release ready to me. The vocals sound better than they did on the broadcast.

Katsuyuki012 13th June 2020 07:30 PM

The way they 'fixed' the crown moment is really nice.

truehappiness 14th June 2020 02:02 AM

They've also been sneaking the officially edited footage for these unreleased tours/lives into the XXXX COMPLETE videos they've been making or tracklist lives. Kinda seems like they could do an A LIVE COMPLETE with bonus discs or something.

dannysan 14th June 2020 03:46 AM

^She should release a "COMPLETE LIVE BOX A VOL.2" with:
"COUNTDOWN LIVE 2016-2017 A『Just the beginning -20-』"
"ARENA TOUR 2018 ~POWER of MUSIC 20th Anniversary~"
"COUNTDOWN LIVE 2018-2019 A -TROUBLE-"

She has a few dancers remaining from earlier shows than 2017. Midori started with Ayu for concert 2000 I think, but she’s the only “original”. Zin and Subaru from CDL 2004-05. Kazuma and acrobat team started around 2009 I think. The rest are new people.

Maybe for her older shows she can try to bring back her older dancers to get their thoughts? Wouldn't mind if she brought back Maro (jk)

AJFmzk 14th June 2020 10:12 PM

^That would be really cool to bring back old dancers. She could bring on Nao since he was a dancer on Dome tour 2001 and Stadium tour 2002, and supposedly Ayu and UN are close friends. Go-mi would probably also be down to join, he was on video as an audience member in Power of A^3, so he still has a connection to Ayu. I kind of miss the old crew to be honest (and by old crew I mean 2004-2014 in terms of dancers - I also miss princess and peco, they were more supporting cast instead of taking over a main part of the show **Timmy** /rant).

Anyway, I think Midori is the last remaining dancer who started at the very beginning, would love if they interview her about 22 years as an ayu dancer. She could probably tell so many stories about the shows and how things changed over the years.

I believe it's better for her not to remind anyone they are friends

holy_arrow 15th June 2020 11:04 AM

I don't know where this video comes from but the edition looks like the BD/DVD rip and it was uploaded today.
This video is the live version from Dec 31 2016 or the edited one?

https://www.bilibili.com/video/av286...Rxa7vYZVwnfHkk

truehappiness 15th June 2020 11:15 AM

That seems to be an edited version using the M-ON audio but video from the commentary live since Ayu/the dancers talked a lot during the commentary.

ulfy01 15th June 2020 12:05 PM

The new camera angles and overall edit were FANTASTIC on the commentary. This is clearly DVD/BR stuff.

I need this version to be available for purchase.

yeah to me it's clear that the footage has all been ready for a while; they just lack the final call by ayu(? or avex?) to release them.

kaled kalil 15th June 2020 01:43 PM

The uploads on youtube could have been the "perfect" moment for the concert to be available to her fans without having to bother releasing, if they thought it wouldn't sell or something.

I just wonder: why the cameras for her and the dances? Commentary of the dancers and the singer isn't a new thing, but it's usually just the audio, like an audio track for the DVD. And they were all at the same location, it's not like it was a zoom call. Anyway, the overall edit is a lot better than the concert for sure.

truehappiness 16th June 2020 01:03 AM

Probably to show facial reactions and stuff. I think they all also had tour goods to cheer along with the concerts so they wanted to show that too.

attractive nausea 16th June 2020 03:34 PM

Plus there were a lot of different people here, not showing their faces would make it impossible to distinguish who’s talking.

kendelle 18th June 2020 12:20 PM

Next tour with commentary's gonna be A Cirque de Minuit ~真夜中のサーカス~ The FINAL on July 20!

Same price, 1200JPY for the full 3.5 hour show. I wonder if they'll take breaks??

ExodusUK 18th June 2020 01:17 PM

Were any tours with Maro in them included as options? Would be awkward for them to do commentary on the Hotel Love Songs Appears performance lol..

truehappiness 18th June 2020 01:27 PM

Basically every tour was available since concert tour 2000 minus AT18/PoM18 and then two random CDLs from the last few years were part of the poll too.

https://i.imgur.com/YBV1kVt.png

Maro was in less than half of the top 10 though. However, Ayu could have always just said no and skipped over something if it did have him like how they skipped no.2 and went to no.3 for the next commentary.

KLJames 20th June 2020 09:34 PM

i hope she will put this version of 'kanariya' on her youtube.
the newly added slow motion of dropping the crown are way too cool!

THIS! I’m not even bothering since it doesn’t have it. It really ticks me off. She blogs a lot in TA in English and she’s completely aware that most of her international fans don’t speak Japanese. I mean it’s one thing it is as solely available/region locked in Japan, but she’s made the commentary videos available worldwide. Same with her YouTube videos. I understand it’s a lot off extra work. But if non Japanese fans are paying for TA, we should have more options.

Evolution7/4 21st June 2020 07:23 PM

Yeah they need to hire Timmy for a sidegig to subtitle this! :laugh

surrealA 23rd June 2020 12:53 AM

someone suggested subs for the commentary to Timmy a few days ago during his IG live. He said thats a good idea and will forward it to Ayu and the team.

rainbow_smile 27th June 2020 01:06 PM

Her international fandom is pretty small though, so I doubt her team will think that it's worth the effort and cost to hire a translator for videos
