She is definitely recording new music. Amazing! The censored lyric sheet also seems to be a giveaway on top of other developments. I wonder what kind of song it is and if it's just one song or more than that...

I'm curious if that black heart that she's been using is a hint for anything, it was also in her Shimoko shoot.

Given the timing, I wonder if she'd try to stick a new song in Natsu no Trouble? If not that, maybe for a-nation Online?

A second new song in Natsu no Trouble would be too good to be true, but I don't think she'd record a song and perform it live within less than two weeks.(I'm guessing Ohia no ki was recorded months ago). I wouldn't be surprised if it's something for a-nation online though.

I really wonder what kind of song it is. Maybe she will drop some hints soon!

It feels like it has been a long time since we got news of her in the studio so it’s exciting to get to speculate at all, lol.

Max and tasuku have all been participating in co-writing sessions lately so I wonder if it’s related to that.

Listed yes, however he has states that it should say produced by ayumi hamasaki instead as he hasn’t had much input in the recent years.

A long time but he’s also specifically been trying to make new songs for Ayu lately since stepping down as CEO of avex.

Max probably came back to produce her because her hearing issues limit her producing abilities...

I hope he has some input in the visuals as well.

Well, I think the aspect of production he's active in now compared to before is mobilizing people to compose specifically for Ayu which he probably hadn't done since early on in her career. Typically, the process seems to be that Ayu gets a lot of demos and chooses from those but those demos are probably screened by Max to begin with.

I think that makes the most sense. I'm interested to see what her music will sound like with more of his input.

If he’s trying to be the masa that made ayu a star, I’m sure he’ll try to find and create new bops ala Boys & Girls. Only difference now is to create songs that fit her current vocal range and not something 1999 ayu would sing

I think he was also saying that he was trying to find a global hit (but mostly for Asia) for Ayu.

The thing too is that before stepping down from the CEO position, he had already been "producing" Kalen and doing what he had done for Ayu but for Kalen, so that probably made him want to go back to doing it for Ayu as actively compared to the more distant way he had been doing it for a while now.

Does this mean we are possibly getting another LOVEppears/CoLOURS?

Uhh, I don't know if it means anything specifically, but perhaps more of a focus on producing a hit for Ayu as opposed to going through the motions making music. Also Max seems to have specified what his goals were in an interview. He seems to imply that the songs he is producing should be out soon possibly under a pseudonym or another name and also that it was 20 years that he was last involved in producing songs, so basically since LOVEppears/Duty.

Whether they can actually make hits nowadays though, I don't know.

Last time I think they/Ayu were actively trying to get hits seemed to be LOVEppears and then Ayu went in another direction for Duty just to go against the grain but then people fell in love with that too.

I ordered 3 items and got an A Money but when it arrived at Tenso they catalogued 4 items. I'm not sure if the A Money is included as a separate item or if I got lucky. The package had no values either so makes it difficult to guess!

I'm guessing the A money was the "4th item" but it's nice to see the winners (and be a little jealous lol)

This is so exciting! Fingers crossed we're walking towards a new album soon, since she was supposed to go on an ARENA TOUR next, maybe some new material was already planned in order to support that now scrapped tour?

I think if we line up dates for M / Ohia no Ki / this, it would have been gradually giving new music until the end of Saigo no Trouble.

Japanese fans think that it's a new song along with a PV. If it was a PV, it'd make sense that Ayu said that the shoot would be busy and hectic in her blog, lol.

A Twitter user theorized the 4AM / 6PM release had a message or something in it due to the Komuro involvement in Nogizaka46's song Route 246.

With all my respect toward TK I hope it’s not a song produce by him. I really love his songs !! I’m a big big fan of Globe and I also like most of his compositions for Ayu but to me his creativity faded away since a long time so in 2020 TK is not that exciting. Maybe I’m wrong and I will enjoy it but I don’t know I’m dubitative about him. If this means an upbeat song reminescent of the 90 I would have prefered she works with the people of the Loveppears Era. Let’s see ... prove me wrong Ayu lol

Yep. There's 'two reveals' too, so it seems like the song might be first then a video or photo reveal at 6PM Japan time.

If you mean the text and not the T/K + the image with the tie, it's something like "when the two come together, what will you see?", so it might be a split reveal but then the morning news coming on soon will also have some coverage.

Yeah, the ZIP!! message is that it's a 'message for her child' song. But I think all of the initial coverage is the same across the shows.

Yeah, the flashes were really sudden again just for one frame so it's hard to see, lol!

Not from Australia, but my country also still has shipping restrictions, but tenso also has DHL aside from surface mail. They don't show it as one of the options, you have to request it through their "Contact us" page (choose the "DHL shipping" category there). If you're okay with paying quite a lot for DHL shipping, that is.

Nogizaka46's "Route 246" just came out today (Friday), but they haven't released the MV in full yet. Yesterday they released a teaser, so it's possible they might be posting their new MV on YouTube later tonight at the time mentioned earlier. (But they're also appearing on tonight's Music Station special, and they'll be performing that song as well.)

Usually if it's just for the morning news they do a midnight release, lol.

It is probably very intentional.

Production musicwise is basically like Ayu's teams usually. BOUNCEBACK, atsushi sato, Kazuhito Kikuchi, Tetsuya Yukumi, and now Mitsuru Igarashi. She only didn't have an Ayu collaborator with FAKE NEWS REVOLUTION.

I thiiiink she's intended to be a bit of a vehicle for Ayu to make a bit of a comeback while also allowing her to be her own thing (mostly)? I think after her first album the Ayuisms might disappear but until then it seems to be all that represents her at the moment.
