Welcome to the 42nd thread of 1 of JRock most talented trios :D :heart Band Formed in April 2007 , BREAKERZ is a J-rock trio that is made up of 3 gorgeous & extremely talented guys : frontman vocalist DAIGO & guitarists AKIHIDE and SHINPEI . BREAKERZ started off as DAIGO and SHINPEI's project . Meeting through a mutual friend and various recording sessions , they worked together to make a demo . DAIGO is in charge of music and lyrics while SHINPEI is in charge of arrangements . In the span of 1 month , they created 40 songs . Later on , they are joined by DAIGO's longtime friend who has worked many times with him in his band , songwriting , playing guitar and singing chorus . That is AKIHIDE & the 3 of them joined together to form BREAKERZ . The origins of BREAKERZ's name means "wanting to destroy" or "destroying once & for all" & connects breaking through genres & barriers . The original band's name was first spelled with an S but it was later changed to Z adopting the letter from B'z , which SHINPEI's a massive big fan of the duo . Incidentally , the band's name was derived even before SHINPEI joined . BREAKERZ's goal was to be like the musicians that they admire/respect such as hyde & Himuro Kyosuke . All arrangements are credited under BREAKERZ as so but it is the composer of the song who leads the arrangement , while the rest of the members fine tune the song while utilising their own ideas . Their music can't be described in just one word . It's a fusion mix of AKIHIDE's UK rock guitar sounds & SHINPEI's American rock guitar sounds which're both combined with DAIGO's somewhat sexy lush seductive voice xD . Despite having 2 guitarists in the group , AKIHIDE & SHINPEI have distinct display of flair with their guitar/s while onstage . AKIHIDE has been described as a guitarist that plays delicate pitch sounds & puts up unique performances while SHINPEI has been described as a guitarist who performs aggressively and powerfully . The band's historic debut is on 6 June 2007 with their first single WAKE UP MY SOUL / THE TRAIN's GONE ... became available on iTunes Japan . BREAKERZ is signed by ZAIN Records , a member of the Being Giza Group . The trio made their major debut with their self-titled debut album on July 25th 2007 . Their first live performance took place at SHIBUYA BOXX on August 5th 2007 . During live performances , the guys often wear prayer bead bracelets which were made by DAIGO's late maternal grandma . BREAKERZ doesn't have a permanent bassist nor a drummer in their duty roaster , so they use various support members when comes to recording of their material & also in live performances too . In Spring 2013 , BREAKERZ went on hiatus in which each member pursued solo activities and after their 1st countdown live BREAKERZ COUNTDOWN LIVE 2014-2015 concluded , BREAKERZ announced that they were making a full comeback and restarted their band related activities in mid 2015 with the release of a new single , a new album & a new live tour which they dubbed it as the trilogy comeback . BREAKERZ celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2017 with the release of Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite in January followed by BREAKERZ 10 Shunen 10ban Shoubu -VS- which consists of them doing 10 concerts with 10 different artistes . In July 2017 , BREAKERZ released their 18th single Yume Monogatari on 12th July . Before a duo back to back concert BREAKERZ Debut 10th Anniversary 【BREAKERZ X】 MEMORY & PROMISE that took place on 15th and 16th July respectively , BREAKERZ Debut 10th Anniversary Live 【BREAKERZ X】 Warming Up Vol.2 took place on 6th July which's 1 day after AKIHIDE's birthday . In Oct 2017 , BREAKERZ released a 10th anniversary special album X (pronounces as Cross) on 18th Oct . X has 2 CDs , the 1st CD is titled 10th anniversary special collaboration album that includes 10 songs which BREAKERZ sang a different track during each of the 10 BREAKERZ 10 Shunen 10ban Shoubu -VS- concerts while the 2nd CD titled Request best includes 15 songs that fans selected/voted online as part of Fans' Select Best (in which each fan was able to vote a maximum of 3 songs to be included in X) . In Nov & Dec 2017 , BREAKERZ LIVE TOUR 2017 【X-cross-】 commenced . BREAKERZ starts off 2018 with the release of their 19th single D×D×D / GREAT AMBITIOUS -Single Version- on 7th March and this is their 1st double A-side single release since 2012's Overwrite / Nounai Survivor . The photos taken of DxDxD marks 3 different 1st's in the band's history AKIHIDE - dyed his hair blonde DAIGO - wore a red wig SHINPEI - photographed without his trademark sunglasses Following the release of D×D×D / GREAT AMBITIOUS -Single Version- in March , the members celebrated DAIGO's 40th birthday on 8th April with BREAKERZ LIVE 2018 ~DAIGO's 40th BIRTHDAY~ . The group's 2nd release of 2018 is BREAKERZ Debut 10th Anniversary Live [BREAKERZ X] COMPLETE BOX that was released on 23rd May . Solo activities of each member took place in conjunction with band related activities in 2018 until mid July . In September , BREAKERZ embarked on BREAKERZ Fan Club Live 2018 & this tour was to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the group's fanclub team brz since it 1st established on 1st September 2008 . Consisting of 5 dates , 2 different concerts took place on each BREAKERZ Fan Club Live 2018 date ie. the 1st concert had an Acoustic Style while the 2nd concert had a Rock Style . The last time the guys did a fanclub tour was TEAM BREAKERZ VALENTINE LIVE 2012 GO!GO! VALENTINE . After BREAKERZ Fan Club Live 2018 concluded , solo activities of each member once again continued until the end of 2018 . BREAKERZ resumes group activities in 2019 , starting with conducting their 1st fanclub BREAKERZ Valentine Cruise ♥ event that took place on 11th Feb . BREAKERZ Valentine Cruise ♥ is a thank you event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of team brz establishment . Contrary to what most fans assume , D.A.S name is not based on each of the members' initials . This was followed by BREAKERZ LIVE 2019 ~Kutsurogi no Milky Way AKIHIDE's BIRTHDAY~ that took place on 5th July ie. on AKIHIDE's birthday . SHINPEI & AKIHIDE's birthday concerts are the 1st 2 concerts the guys performed during the new Reiwa era after the Heisei era concluded on 30th April and both concerts were sold out . Before the Heisei era concluded on 30th April , BREAKERZ released a new song Atarashii Sekai e Atarashii Jidai e ~Reiwa Version~ digitally between 30th April to 31st May . First performed during the encore segment of BREAKERZ LIVE 2019 ~Heisei Saigo no DAIGO's BIRTHDAY~ , the digital release of Atarashii Sekai e Atarashii Jidai e ~Reiwa Version~ is the group's 1st digital release in 12 years since WAKE UP MY SOUL / Re:born . BREAKERZ released their 20th single Yamiyo ni Mau Aoi Tori on 4th Sept . Before the new single release , BREAKERZ presents. [Warming Up Party!] took place on 31st Aug at Tokyo's Shibuya club asia & this concert served as a prelude to their short September live house tour BREAKERZ LIVE TOUR 2019 -Seeking the Blue Bird- . BREAKERZ presents. [Warming Up Party!] was sold out & unlike the last 3 Warming Up concerts , BREAKERZ performed alongside with First place + Methadone All the 3 new songs that BREAKERZ performed during the encore segments of each of their birthday concerts ie. Atarashii Sekai e Atarashii Jidai e , BROKEN & Milky Way are included as B-sides in Yamiyo ni Mau Aoi Tori . Yamiyo ni Mau Aoi Tori 1st week sales is the guys' highest since 2013's RUSTY HEARTS . Not only that , the single's 1st week sales outsold the total sales of what the guys' last 5 singles sold as well . After BREAKERZ LIVE TOUR 2019 -Seeking the Blue Bird- concluded on 29th Sept , AKIHIDE embarked on his 11th solo tour AKIHIDE “SOLO” LIVE 2019 NAKED MOON2 -Hoshioi no Shoujo- in November . Compilation album BREAKERZ × Detective Conan COLLABORATION BEST was released on 18th Dec which includes 8 group songs that they've contributed for the Detective Conan anime over the past decade . Before the physical CD release dropped on 18th Dec , BREAKERZ × Detective Conan COLLABORATION BEST was 1st released digitally on 11th Oct , on the same day when Detective Conan Special Concert 2019 was held at Osaka Jo Hall which was the 1st time the guys performed at the venue . In addition , solo songs AKIHIDE's RAIN MAN & DAIGO's Ima Aitakute... which were also contributed to be used to promote the Detective Conan anime are also included in BREAKERZ × Detective Conan COLLABORATION BEST but only in the physical CD release . To celebrate the physical CD release of BREAKERZ × Detective Conan COLLABORATION BEST , BREAKERZ LIVE 2019 ANIME SONG COLLABORATION took place on 29th Dec at Tokyo's Shibuya TSUTAYA O-EAST . For BREAKERZ LIVE 2019 ANIME SONG COLLABORATION , BREAKERZ performed they've contributed for various animes over the years such as Cardfight !! AKIHIDE kicked off 2020 with the release of his 7th solo album Hoshikai no Shounen on 15th Jan . This was followed by AKIHIDE's 12th solo tour AKIHIDE LIVE TOUR 2020 -Hoshikai no Shounen- that took take place on the last weekend of Jan 2020 & 1st weekend of Feb 2020 and 9 days later , his 1st solo concert of 2020 ie. AKIHIDE MUSIC THEATER -Hoshi no Kaeru Basho- which served as the last chapter for Hoshikai no Shounen , promo wise . BREAKERZ's 1st group concert of 2020 titled BREAKERZ LIVE 2020 ~Reiwa Saisho no DAIGO's BIRTHDAY~ was originally supposed to take place on 8th April , on the same day as DAIGO's birthday at Tokyo's EX THEATER ROPPONGI once again . Due to COVID-19 , BREAKERZ LIVE 2020 ~Reiwa Saisho no DAIGO's BIRTHDAY~ was originally rescheduled to take place on 27th July at Zepp Tokyo , 2 days after the band's debut anniversary date . BREAKERZ LIVE 2020 ~Chou Kin Niku Houkai Matsuri SHINPEI's BIRTHDAY~ originally was supposed to take place on 10th May at Tokyo's Ebisu LIQUIDROOM , the day before SHINPEI's birthday but Being has also postponed the concert due to COVID-19 . Both birthday concerts were subsequently cancelled due to COVID-19 & the same thing also unfortunately happened to BREAKERZ LIVE 2020 ~AKIHIDE's BIRTHDAY~ as well . A LOVE STAGE!! live action movie was originally supposed to get released on 5th June and BREAKERZ is in charge of the movie's theme song which shares the same name as the movie ie. LOVE STAGE . Not only that , DAIGO made a special appearance as SHOGO in the LOVE STAGE!! live action movie . Just like BREAKERZ LIVE 2020 ~Reiwa Saisho no DAIGO's BIRTHDAY~ & BREAKERZ LIVE 2020 ~Chou Kin Niku Houkai Matsuri SHINPEI's BIRTHDAY~ , the LOVE STAGE!! live action movie release date in June was postponed . BREAKERZ contributed a new song BARABARA that was chosen to promote the Youkai Ningen Bela movie which opened in Japan's cinemas on 11th Sept . Both BARABARA & LOVE STAGE were released together as BREAKERZ's 21st single / double A-side single on 9th Sept . The LOVE STAGE!! live action movie was eventually opened in Japan's cinemas on 2nd Oct . BREAKERZ did their 1st online live concert on 26th Sept . BREAKERZ ONLINE LIVE 2020 -ONE NIGHT LOVE STAGE- was the 1st concert they did for 2020 after the cancellation of all 3 members' birthday live concerts without any audience present inside Tokyo's TSUTAYA O-EAST . AKIHIDE wrapped up 2020 with the release of his 8th solo album LOOP WORLD on 25th Nov , followed by doing his 1st online tour in Nov to Dec and then a Christmas solo concert on 19th Dec . This marks the 1st time in 7 years since AKIHIDE last released 2 solo albums within the same year . I love my daughter will be used to promote ABC TV's drama Miyako ga Kyoto ni Yattekita! which will begin airing on ABC TV from 10th Jan 2021 onwards . Noboru Takeshita 2) His oldest sister is Eiki Eiki (who's born on 6th Dec 1971) & she's a mangaka (comic artist/cartoonist) . Eiki Eiki drew/published a comic book called Eiki Eiki no Buchaketai !! that was released on 3rd June 2009 & the manga centres on DAIGO & their late grandpa 3) DAIGO's famously well known for his WISH rock pose . He's the most domestically inclined in the group as he also knows how to cook 9) SHINPEI's nickname is Shinpi & his catch phrase is using the word 'muscle' on his blog even though in real life , he surprisingly doesn't use it verbally 10) SHINPEI had a dog which's called Chappy .
