COUNTDOWN LIVE 2023-2024 -A COMPLETE 25-

Ayu will be holding two dates (December 30th, and December 31st) for her annual Countdown Live this year! Both will be at Yoyogi Stadium, and are considered separate concerts from her ongoing 25th Anniversary tour. An official livestream is set to be hosted by Abema; playback will be available from January 5th, 2024.

DIGITAL VIEWING
Tickets can be purchased from Abema here (you will need a VPN)
We will also be hosting a stream of the Abema broadcast in the AHS discord server - we will be allowing new people in until an hour before the stream begins. Anyone who joins after that time will be processed after the livestream has finished.

Hey, no worries! You can ask any questions in the discord server as well (and it'll be easier to signpost you there), but all you have to do is sign up to the event and join the voice channel when it begins on December 31st. Your microphone will be automatically muted; discord just requires anyone viewing a stream to also join the voice chat.

Here is a screenshot of where to navigate to the event - it should be at the top left of your discord program. The time you see there is for my timezone, but your discord will automatically display what the start time will be for your location.

Daybreak is the same as on A Complete.
Forgiveness was short version - only the English part of the lyrics a Capella and that’s it. Bold & Delicious also was only instrumental.
Will/Flower costume was same one as from GREEN PV, she was basically hinting at these songs rather then performing them.
The show was about 2h25m.

Love it.

Overall she sang a lot of songs that I don’t listen often. The second part is pure drama to me hahaha
But the Will+FLOWER and the ballad section were so good and heartwarming
And the girl brought all her orchestra and band to everyone who complained 😂
Not a concert to rewatch for me but it’s still so enjoyable to watch her so happy in the stage <3

Ps.: I love how she changes the mood completely after Just the way you are > Until that day. It’s so strange to see her doing the dance routine with that dress so cute and pastel hahaha

It's so lazy of her to repeat this forgiveness opening sequence for 3-4 times now...
In her mind it's like...oh orchestra...let's open with forgiveness...

Also, she sounded so bad I feel bad for her...

I think it's a staple. kind of iconic if you ask me, that's why it's been repeated. also, it wasn't the full song, it was like a medley of forgiveness and no more words, so it was a little different.

but yeah, she sounded pretty bad at the end, I think it would be best if she uses her own voice as a backing vocal, not four people making her sing off key. because when she sings alone she's fine, but when her backing vocals start singing with her, everything goes downhill.

Nope not just you, i was there live and my friends and I all felt she was serving so much that night it was insane!

Not just you. I was there on 31st and I was blown away by out amazing she sounded (minus the awkward start of Last Angel but she got back on track very quickly)!!!

I guess she had a problem with sound return. She missed the first words, then sing really off key, stopped a little and then she focused and got back on track again.

What a wonderful performance! I was there to both shows and she sang better on 12/31 than 12/30. She definitely had more technical issues on the 31st, but vocally she slayed. I noticed she sang off key because of her ear piece and missed singing on queue. Overall, she did really well. I was at her first show in Chiba(first Ayu concert). I enjoyed both small and large venues. However I preferred her larger venue due to the sound, live band, and more fans. I hope to go again one day.
Her blue dress performances were the best imo. She’s so beautiful especially in person. So lucky for Ayu fans to see her. I have to travel 20+ hours and pay triple the price :(
But I’m glad I got to see her again :)

I'm so happy with this playlist!

The singing was really nice! Live or pre-recorded, I don't mind, it sounds great.

However, I found the show a little boring. Not a fan of central stages in general and this show does nothing special about it.

I love how “forgiveness” started and how it ends right after “no more words”.
I personally find this show is a little bland from the LIVE broadcast.

Only highlight was the rare songs choice. Her energy level doesnt look as good/hyped compared to CDL 22-23.

Hot take… but, I was sad to hear No more words rearranged lol. The magic of that song for me is in its original arrangement. The mysterious-ness of it was gone, which took the magic away for me. But I’m glad to have heard it still, it’s one of my favorite album tracks.
