News coverage on last day of ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2003-2004
TOKYO -elaborate stage and costume had marked the last day of Hamasaki Ayumi's Arena Tour 2003-2004. The dazzling performance has captured the hearts of the 12,000 audiences in Yoyogi Arena yesterday.
Ayu landed on the stage on harness from 20 meters height and belted out 18 songs for the night, including hits like Moments and No Way to Say. When she sang No Way to Say, the costume that intergrades with the background had even expanded to the height of four meters and ten meters in width, comparable to those worn by the like of Enka singers like Kobayashi Sachiko during NHK Kouhaku performance. A lot of laser effects were also used. In deep appreciation to her support fans and audiences, she had yelled "Thank You Very Much!" without the mic at the end of performence. The Arena tour had 31 performances in 12 venues with a total attendance of 230,000. Ayu will be focusing in the production of next album which is going to be launched this year. I edited the post 4 time by now with news from other sites (simliar info anyway, some with photo)
This post is for the subscribed thread to be in effect and notice members about this. Anyawy for those who have not discovered this yet: You can make detailed changes in the way you want notifications to be sent. Either a straight email for every new post before a visit, or just a daily/weekly notice of all new posts in a thread so that your mailbox won't get jammed and you still get all the new posts "pushed" to you before coming here to make reply. The functionailty of vBulletin have always been underutilised just like microsoft word (where there's a lot of things inside the both to make your life a lot easier). So I will talk about these every now and then, do look out for it. P.S: A competitor is contemplating using vBulletin now, this at least shows that we are technologicaly ahead of others. We won't spend $110 on this for nothing after all. |
The first article says that Ayu had 8 costume changes..I think?

Wow, now that I've read the translation I want to see it even worse! I'd like to see a pic of her outfit for "No Way To Say!"
And, it says she is working on a new album to be released this year?!!!!!! :D |
I'm still confused on the No way to say performance thing lol >.<
|
oh...tat's cool... hope the DVD of the concert will release soon~~

it's just a uber uber wickedly cool, big, and beautiful dress she wore for 'no way to say' with all the lighting effects and stuff .. i think
can't wait to see the concert! and the next album!! lol ..eekkk |
So, now that we know that this tour was off the hook, when will avex get off their butts &release it?? I'd really like to see it... a friend of mine who was lucky enough to be able to see it - he's Japanese &his trip to Japan coincided with her tour - said it was fantastic. I so should have been there.

I saw the second last show at Yoyogi on Saturday night. It was amazing.
The No Way to Say dress: ok, the bottom of the dress kind of covered most of the stage, and it was multi coloured - deep purples and reds and greens from memory. then, the back of the dress kind of lifted up and fanned out kind of. like a peacocks tale behind her, and all the lights shined on it. it was amazing. some other little bits: when she did Surreal, she stopped just before the `la la la la la la la la doko ni mo etc etc etc` and launched into evolution. she did all of evolution then returned back and finished surreal. during the talk, they talked about ayuready and fuji tv a bit. and they made this little routine that had ayu say `ayu ready?` then the audience says `yo-chan` then ayu says more things to the dancers and staff, then it ends with `ayu cookie time`. it was funny. on the saturday night too, she ended with putting the mic down. she stood with her eyes closed with her finger on her lips and waiting for complete silence before shouting out `arigatou gozaimashita` and running off stage. it was an amazing concert and everyday i just count my blessings that i was able to see it. |

I'm excited to hear she's planning on an album for this year...
I wanna see her dress from No way to say!!! |
OMG! u were actually there!!??? lucky u! how i wish to see an ayu concert live!
|
Man, this is uber not cool... It'll be at least three years before I'll have the chance to move to Japan, and I don't foresee any trips there beforehand either. Do you have any idea how many shows like this one that I'll be missing out on? I would say "suicide is the only option," but that would prevent me from seeing -any- of her concerts live. Grr... I love my country and all, but the whole desperate lack of Ayu thing is -really- getting on my nerves <_>
