People selling fansubbed anime on eBay has gotten so out of hand that fansubbers have started putting "If you payed for these, you were ripped off" and "Not for auction" messages somewhere in the credits or on the commercial bumpers. Video rippers should do something simmilar, its not unusual to look up an artist and see home made video compliations.

I got a bootleg Harvest Moon on AMAZON. Ebay is the only place. How do I know it's bootleg? I thought I lost the game and really liked it so rebought it. Found it later. The pictures are different, both work, but one is more black (the cartrige) and doesn't fit quite right.

I see fakes on e-bay all the time, like the "two disc Moments ALBUM". It's really pathetic, cuz it's just the bootleg HK/Taiwan versions. I'm glad I never see anyone bidding on those, and i'm ALWAYS careful if i'm browsing e-bay, because you NEVER know until you get it, and it could be too late by then. If something looks fishy, it's probably a booooooootleg.

What they are doing makes me sick.Granted I do download files but I would never think of burning them on a DVD and selling them on eBay.

I try to report illegal items being sold on Ebay, you can do that, but there are so many, I could spend 5 hours a day doing it, so I always choose the most expensive illegal stuff. I hope people stop!

How low. But you just can't stop losers like that. And really, the number of people who are honest sellers far outnumber those who aren't. So let's not work ourselves up over this one bad apple. I'm sure people like these are one in a thousand.
