these awards...they seem more like a popularity contest. o.O it's great that Ayu won but I wonder if people in Japan are bored that Ayu won for FOUR times (in a row?)and it isn't even about talent or anything.

How are these types of awards any different from American beauty pagents? Comparatively, this is hardly overrated. I just fail to care that Ayu wears jeans...

All the silly fashion awards in Japan are just marketing schemes by the respective trade groups. I don't think any fans care about the substance of the award, it's just another chance to get pictures of Ayu. :laugh
