The A or B Thread...
This is a thread where people who are stuck between buying two products and want reviews or opinions of the two products.
For example, I'll say:Ayumi Hamasaki's Arena Tour 2002 A or Dome Tour 2001 A? And then other people can say which one, trying to provide some reason(s) why or why not the get one. Also, suggestions of better products would help too. This could make it a lot easier to figure out which on is better and get rid of excess threads. So I guess I'll start it with my example, Which one should I buy? Arena Tour 2002 A or Dome Tour 2001? I really like the I am...songs so I'm leaning towards getting Arena Tour 2002... *You can add two new products in at any time, just make sure to put them in bold* |
Good idea!
I think you should buy Dome Tour, cause I think the tracklist is better... Should I buy the a-nation 2004 DVD or Ayu ARENA TOUR 2003-2004 DVD? |
I saw the a-nation on BT and If that's the actual DVD, I'd go with ARENA TOUR 2003-2004 because I watched about half of it and it's really good, especially ANGEL'S SONG...:D
a-nation, at least the one on BT was pretty bad, and Ayu got only two songs. I'd wait until an official tracklist comes out... |
everyone says Arena is better..im getting that for sure...except its VCD...--"...Avex VCDs r bad quality...well..compared to EMI anyway
8 films + more or Valenti tour (BoA) |
Oh yeah, If you can't answer one, it's ok, you can start a new one and mention any old ones...
|
I'd go with a-nation just cause the one on Bunko was a TV rip of it, not the full DVD.
|
I've got two...
ELT's Many Pieces or 4 Force? (I already have EBS+2 but I love the B-sides/album tracks).... ...and Yaida Hitomi's Candlize or Air/Cook/Sky? (Nevermind, I'm getting Air/Cook/Sky tomorrow and Candlize for my birthday) |
i listened to both ELT albums, i liked Many Pieces better, although none of them were really my taste. So for the songs, i guess Many Pieces is better, but i know nothing about the performances. Ask Kevin..=P
|
Really depends on what kind of sounds you prefer, if you want something with a harder or rockish beats which I assume you do, then Many Pieces is a nice pick (can't go wrong with 'AMBIVALENCE' or 'stray cat'); but if you'd rather want to be in a relaxing mood like me, you should go with 4 FORCE, 'cuz I find songs like 'force of heart' and 'No limit' very easy to cheer you up when you feel down. I'm not saying I don't like Many Pieces, it's just that it has this intense flavor which makes me a bit tired when finishing playing the whole album.
|
I'm already getting commonplace (the most relaxing CD I know of) for X-mas so I guess I'll go with Many Pieces...(I love AMBIVALENCE!)
*PS, I meant albums, I think someone thought I meant concerts, but I already have the Many Pieces DVD* |

I don't think there'll be backstage stuff, at least judging from the a-nation '03 tracklisting, but there should be more performances. Not by many, though - maybe one or two more.
This year's a-nation DVD is cheaper than last year's though, so do expect fewer performances than last year's DVD. |

Anyways and about tl1029530921... I'd personally not go with either and get the LOVE & HONESTY TOUR 2004. But if you have that then probably VALENT 2003 TOUR. I'm deciding between these four for my next YesAsia! purchase after I recieved my copy of Dome Tour and One Day, One Dream... pick 2 PLEASE! A museum ~30th Single Collection DVD (keep in mind I'M A HUGE FORGIVENESS FAN) Arena Tour 2003-2004 Namie Amuro SO CRAZY Best Singles Concert 2004 DVD Mika Nakashima's 'LOVE' FINAL OR this order: Chihiro Onitsuka '02 LIVE AT BUDOKAN with Namie Amuro LOVE ENHANCED Singles Collection |

|
Yay for reviving this handy old thread! :thumbsup
A.Ai Otsuka's Kuro En (CD+DVD OS) or B.Ayumi Hamasaki's CDL 2004-2005 (VCD)? I already have LOVE JAM & I'm ordering MY STORY with this purchase, and I will most likely not get both because I'm at $129 with one of these. Ordering Thursday June 30th. (Yeah, I know I changed my Christmas wishlist 80 billion times!!) I was set on buying Ai's CD+DVD (awesome PV, awesome A-side & B-sides!) but then I had the urge to get this concert because it seemed kind of fun, and I love the idea of concerts without elaborate sets and costumes... |
i become confuse now..
so many question here i confuse what i want to answer |
Quote:
Honestly, I'd want to go with Kuro~en, but a concert is so much more value. |
Well I, Mr.Never-can-make-up-his-mind-on-what-to-get, decided to go with the CDL 2004-2005 VCD...
I was just thinking about Kuro~en, song by song, and realized it's really not worth getting over a concert. I really like the new 680 version, but I'm happy with my 750 LOVE JAM version. The other two songs aren't really that special (Ai Jazziness sort of bored me and Track 3 barely qualifies as a song though it's sort of fun. And instrumentals are bleh). Maybe the B-side will end out on her 3rd album anyway. After thinking it over I figured that since I've never really seen any full Ayu concerts, except the 2000 B DVD I have, CDL04-05 looks like a fun concert for summer. This really looks like the only other Ayu concert I would enjoy so I figured for $11, 18 medium quality VCD tracks is better than a single with 6 tracks and a PV I've seen a million times. A quick question: Does the VCD version have the backstage stuff? If not I don't really care, but it'd be a nice bonus... |
It's baaack. ;)
Anyway, which should I get (sorry, not both):Bonnie Pink's Golden Tears, or Even So? I'm in love with the 45 second preview of 'Last Kiss', but I wasn't sure if her new one is better. I might just get the single if I'm feeling cheap and won't be able to order J-pop for a while... |
Heard both albums and I Going to go with Even So.
Ami Suzuki - Eventful or Ami Suzuki - Around The World(Single) |
so far I would go with "Even So" without a doubt.....I only quickly previewed the Golden Tears songs but they didn't appeal to me as much as her Even So album...I can even say I was a bit disappointed but I'll try to give Golden Tears a better listening in order to make a better judgement.....

Not that 'Golden Tears' is a bad album at all, they're both great. |
"Even So", definitely. Or maybe "REMINISCENCE".
|
I'm having trouble with buying-Namie's "Style" album, and Namie's "Queen of Hip-Pop" album. I'm not sure which one I want to get first, so can someone please help with which one I should buy first.
|
Queen of Hip-Pop is a much better album, every track is yaylove. The majority of STYLE bored me. =x
|
That's interesting, someone else told me the Style album because every track except for the So Crazy "Mad Bear Mix" was good, and very enjoyable.
|
That remix of SO CRAZY was only on the first press edition, so it probably won't be on the copy you buy. But, yeah, different strokes for different folks. =b
|
I'll stick with 'Even So'. Thanks for the help Akurei, ImpactBreaker, ~K+ and luminaire. :)
Now I have to decide if I'll get it in November or for Christmas...Hmm. |
I prefered 'STYLE', 'Queen of Hip-Hop' bored me with its repetitive beats. It wasn't much different to the R&B songs you'll hear when you turn on one of those MTV Top 20 Video programs.
|
I feel Queen of Hip-Pop couldn't compare to the ballads on Style, but I'm having a slight change of mind and now I'm thinking it would be better for me to buy QoHP instead. I have no clue yet, but I do know I'm finally going to get to buy it on friday, because that's when I get money for my b-day, which btw is friday. Yay me!!!

Evenful is more catchy with a gorgeous cover so I'd personally choose Eventful. |
I liked both albums a lot, but as to what to buy first, I'd get STYLE. Queen of Hip-Pop is really good, I love a lot of the production used but STYLE has better songs. And who can beat Wishing on the Same Star?
|
Ok.. since ^ didnt ask anything, LET ME ASK! Should I buy:
Ai Otsuka- Neko Ni Fuusen (CD+DVD) or Ai Otsuka- Kuroge Wagyu... 680 Yen (CD+DVD) |
^ I'd go with Neko. I LOVE Neko much more than Kuroge. Still Kuroge is a quality single.
1) The Neko PV is wayyy better than Kuroge's. And it's cute. 2) Natsuzora rocks. 3) The cover is awesome. That's why I myself bought the single. :P Don't get me wrong, Kuroge is one of Ai's best singles but I just feel Neko's better. And it's better than PLANETARIUM also. |
^ BETTER THAN PLANETARIUM? Wow.. But its a shame that her album only had three PVs-Kingyo, Daisuki and FRIENDS.. Unlike Ayu, other artistes release their PVs separately..
|
^ Happy Days had a PV and it's from LOVE JAM. I have different tastes than most people. Why are fans attracted so much by Daisuki and Kingyo? :confused I like Amaenbo and Neko better.
