I second that. Godawful that thing.

There's alot of bad ones. I can't hear any of Naturally in that Wippenberg remix.

the Acoustic version of Surreal. IMO they totally butchered Surreal when they did the AOV of it ;_; i was so mad.

i can't stand Endless sorrow (Dub's Remix)... i forgot the title, but i think it's from the NEVER EVER single... well, i think it's horrible :P

Fly high (Saturarion remix) was a hard to dig remix... it took a long time for me to like it... and i still don't like it very much, so it's ok... too rock-ish for me =P

and AUDIENCE (Jonathan Peters remix)... i hate that one :P

evolution Oriental Hot Spa. There are others, but that one is the worst of the worst.

There's a lot of remixes I hate... I hate any remix of NEVER EVER, even the AOV and the Eurobeat. I'd say a really bad one is the SURREAL remix on Ayu Trance.

Uhm, the Criminal Tribal mix of CAROLS was pretty bad...and the remix of Ourselves off the Forgiveness single wasn't very good either.

The Remix can't stand up to the orignal version.

usually a lot of the remixes cant. But you also have to consider the fact that a remix lets you see a song in a totally different light and the point of this thread isnt to compare a remix to its original. Its to point out people's most disliked remix.

from another thread we have already established that this is the most awful remix of all time.

& junkie xl mix of vogue is actually good. progressive trance is hard to like cos it sounds inaccessible. you really have to like trance first before you progress to progressive trance. but once you start to appreciate the structure of progressive trance, you will see vogue (junkie xl mix) is a masterpiece.

I do like trance! Its always been one of my fave types of music :p I dont know about progressive cos I'm not sure what it is... I'm no good with my sub genres. I've gone off topic but anyhoo.

It doesn't sound inaccesible, it's just awful. There's not even Vogue in there. Now, not using source material for a remix can be cool, Aphex Twin did it too, but he did it with flair. This is just nothing. Just crap.

I agree, I also don't like many of the remixes on the re-release singles. The Other side and excerpts singles weren't all that good ether, but I can't think of any specific name, obviously, because I don't listen to it.

I agree - I don't like that one either. Some remixes are okay, but most of them I don't like.

I cannot believe that no one has mentioned the "Close to You" remix off Ayu-mi-x V... my ears bleed just thinking about it.

I didn't think any of them were bad but if I had to choose just one then it would have to be the Free & Easy Minimalistic Remix. I didn't get into that remix that much.

vogue Junkie XL was one of my favorites.

My least favorite has to be evolution "Oriental Hot SPA"

LOL geez and I thought I was not that great fan of remixes but looking at the people pointing these remixes as the worst I actually think I love a lot of the ones pointed here :P Naturally Wippenberg is AWESOME!!!! And the Close to you remix of ayu-mi-x V was very cool imo. I like From your letter pandart sasanooha, it is not a conventional mix. Any vogue mix is already set to be the best remix EVA!!!!!! I'm yet to see a bad remix for vogue. Actually vogue the single is among one of the best singles imo just because it has one of ayu's best original song: ever free, and loads of awesome "vogue" remixes :P 9I know the Junkie XL is not in that single though). The ourselves remix was not that good but that's just because I'm not a big fan of Drumn'Bass at all....as a Drumn'Bass song it's pretty high up the standards though. And the End of World mix didn't sound anything like her worst at all. And NEVER EVER has some nice remixes! The "tears of aquarius" is so awesome, it's very depressing and sad I love it! And the NEVER 'Dub's Uncategorized Mix 001' from the Endless sorrow single is awesome. The CAROLS remixes while not the best was pretty enjoyable!! And ARGH "I am... Ram's special 11days remix" is one of the best "I am.." remixes EVA111111111111...just lose for the I am... night clubbers remix :P

i tend to stay away from the Ayu-mi-x albums because i dont particularly find club mixes entertaining.

I do love ayu's trance and eurobeat albums though.

The worst remix has to be UNITE! "No.1 Blueberry Wonderful" from the UNITE! single..it's so boring, I hate it.

i think "from your letter" by pandart sasanoooha is a great remix... very different, with a style that reminds me of Pizzicato Five and FPM... i like it very much!! ^^

moments flying humanoid remix was pretty bad...that remix just murdered the song

End of the World "orb 'nigh Laddy' remix" From Ayu-mi-x III NSMM

Ok, this remix would be one of my favorites if in the middle of the song, some old guy didn't come on and say "well...we're gonna talk about sprouts now, and in particular a new kind of broccoli"

But yeah.. another bad one (there are so many :(..) is Key "nicely nice waterfowl remix" from UNITE!. And off course there's the remix that I've always hated, NEVER EVER "Empty Pot Shuttlecock wood" from the NEVER EVER single. :tired

I love trance, but there's 1 trance song that i just CANT listen to.

Dolls (Future Breeze Mix)

That remix totally killed the song. You cant take fast paced music and play a slow song to it x_x that murders the song! Like the AOV of Surreal. They took a fast song and put it to slow music. THAT IS THE STUPIDEST THING EVER. You have to match the music to the vocal track to make it sound good unless you speed up the vocals, like they do in eurobeat songs. Now if they had done that to the dolls song, i bet i would love it. But no. They had to ruin it with that horrible fast music ;_;

There are quite a few remixes that make my ears bleed. I usually don't mind them so much 'cause I figure the remixers just used a lot of "creative liberties" and I've been able to appreciate them because of that. But there was one remix that made me go "wtf?" and that would be Voyage "Dub's Old Style Basic Remix". It was the exact same song...with a beat...wtf?

oh god, i cant STAND the "A Song for XX "She Shell Remix""! hmm....what else?

I can't believe I used to think that was the original mix. Ugh, made me hate WHATEVER.

I like the Junkie XL mix of vogue. No, it doesn't have the actual song in it, other than Ayu going "AHHHH!", but it still kicks butt. I love the progression in it. Then again, I am a trance junkie.

I like most of her remixes, including the End of the World remix on evolution. Even the Oriental Hot Spa mix began to grow on me. Although I would say that the quality of her remixes now aren't quite the same as they used to be.

STEP you mix on Fairyland single. next time, get a rapper that an actually speak a languge thats not rabbit/frog/english mix. also, the CAROLS criminal tribal mix.

The whole kanariya single is rubbish. Every remix on that album was a complete waste of space. Junk.

Boys & Girls [Mad Filter] was horrible to listen to, as well.

I only like certain types of remixes. I was quite found of ayu trance 3. Every remix on that album rocked. I don't even like WE WISH, and I found the remix extremely awesome. Especially HANABI [Lange] and Heartplace [Lab-4]. I absolutely loved Connected [Talla 2XLC].

I haven't heard that many remixes. I like trance music. I don't see what was so great about M [Above & Beyond]. I didn't like it all that much.

So, the worst remix I've heard thus far, would have to be... kanariya [Jonathan Peters], kanariya [SPAZM] or from your letter [Pandart Sasanooha].

Best remix? Probably both versions of Fly high [Sample Madness]. Or perhaps Moments [Piano], if you consider that a remix. WHATEVER [Dub's 1999] is an awesome one too.

LOL that's actually got to be one of my favorite remixes ever. It just 100% fitted the song and didn't sound like a collage, something that happens to a lot of her remixes. Plus they were able to turn what was already a catchy song even catchier not to mention that it really fit into the summer feel of the fairyland single. I've seem several people complaining about the rapper, I hardly even pay attention to him.

To my feeling, lots of ayu remixes I first heard was awful except the eurodance remixes, because they are almost different from the rhythm, style of the original mix, some maybe are pitch distorted, or maybe the genre of the remix is different etc
but after listening to them more, I'm sure you will like them,
you will understand how wide and creative the world of music is
Especially in these years, no remixes albums anymore,
and less and less remixes appeared on the tracklist, actually remixes become valuable to me

ok, back to the topic, I can't think of any ayu remixes are bad in my mind, all remixes have their own characteristics and are fantastic... Even the worst, maybe the remix with dull, repeatative, offbeat and slow music, maybe it would be UNITE! (No.1 Blueberry Wonderful)... I really don't like that remix very much

That's one of the best remixes ever for Ayu! It's better than the boring original. Same with Carols Crimal Tribal Mix. I actaully hated Carols' original version but this new remix is great!


The remixes i really don't like are the Eurobeat and dancey remixes. I don't like the eurobeat sound cuz i think its cheesy AND i think most dance remixes don't add any new dimensions to the song or don't play with it enough.
