American Idols have small dogs too!
I saw in the paper today an article saying that the new hip accessory for celebrities is, get this, a puppy. because apparently britney spears took her chihuahua (however u spell it) shopping with her boyfriend. OMG i was like as if she is setting a trend, AYU DID THAT LIKE 6 YEARS AGO! Remember A Song for XX album booklet. and she's always had her dogs, its like a total part of her image and stuff. well, i was kinda pissed off, coz its not the first time i've seen american celebrities copy japanese ones and say its their own idea. well, they probably dont copy, maybe a coincidence, but still, no one gives credit to ayu and stuff who thought of it first. :rolleyes

Wow since when is owning a dog copying Ayu?
|
I don't think that any similarity between Ayu and someone else means that either one is copying - just because Britney Spears owns a puppy dog, it doesn't mean that she has one because Ayu has one. Furthermore, the whole puppy dog thing has always been very much alive in Japan. I remember seeing a documentary on it. For many Japanese women their puppy dogs are like children. It's not a trend that Ayu set.
|
indeed, in japan, owning a dog is very popular. it is a social phenomenon.
|
I have a dog, am I popular now? :P XD
Yeah I saw a pic of Paris Hilton, shopping, with her dog in her arms. Poor doggie, is being dragged to the malls and stuff. :( |
yeh i agree with every1.... also alotta stars own their own lil dog... even i have two and i treat them like my babies... i mean.. look at sharon osbourne... she hardly ever parts with her dog... i fink that coz alotta the stars carry their own puppy they like to splash out on them like it was them so point y they call it accessories... they accesorising their accesories.
|
yea, i got a bit carried away. ... sorry :(

Not that this applies to Ayu, if anything she probably loves her dogs a little too much ;) |
...
small dogs are also very popular with play girls in the playboy mansion :rolleyes |
OOOOOOOOOOo...k? A lot of celebrities love their dogs and tote it around. It's not like they're thinking of some 'unknown' jpop star and copying her... I'm sure its just a trend.
|
OMFG AYU WEARS MAKEUP AND SO DO OTHER FAMOUS PEOPLE. THEY'RE COPYING!!!
these "copying" threads are getting old. and i hate to say this but america has way more influence on japan than japan has on america. :grumpy :rolleyes |

It seems that not only stars are doing that, ordinary people are trying to emulate them and get little toy dogs of their own... and dress them up too. One afternoon chat show here had a little 'fashion show' for dogs, with awful-looking wraps and even a jumper. And all the presenters thought it was cute, but it wasn't. |

I think you take this way too seriously.
Britney has a dog, it's her choices to take him shopping with her. It's not like she knows it's 'popular' to have a dog and it's not like she knew Ayu and knew that it was 'popular'. Seriously, it's not even a trend. How dare those people say this like dogs are only objets and accessories? |

When it comes to fashion, Japan is one of the most influencial place. Ayu did come with fishnets for about 3-4 years ago and other things too. |

IRONY: There is a segment on Paris Hilton's stupid little dog right now on MTV.

uuhh here we go again
but I too remeber BS, back in some years, saying how she started the trend on one arm long sleeve fingerless glove.. yeah sure thing.. whatever |

Everyone in marketing knows this secret. |
Britney DOESNT even know Ayumi...
And having a dog it's nothing new, but again ure talkin about britney[whos britney? one of the trendy icons that will always be the ones ppl talk about....] I seriously DOUBT she got the idea from any japanese or anything. She had like 2 big dogs b4[01-02], then she "adopted" a lil maltese[or whatever]to take care of it as her "daughter" [July 04?]then she bought the chihuahua[november 04?]...to give a brother to her first dog?...ein lol...indeed i must say |

Also in the design this is true... there are lots famous graphic designers for instance, from asia europe and latin america and i don't see too much ppl from the usa. hehe this thread went off topic a long time ago! XD |
^ I think she does... But anyway. small dogs are cute. that's all. period. Everyone likes little dog (except me maybe) but Maroon is cute. but my dog (he's little) isn't cute i think lol.... aaanyway.
|
...yeah... let's all copy Ayu... and get small dogs... because clearly, nobody else has small dogs...
|
Is Ayu the only girl allowed to love her dog? Really, now.
|
I think a lot of people have come to a simillar consesus in this thread so please let's stop using irony and sarcasm and show a bit of respect instead of each one comming and dropping their bitter comments because I personally don't see a need to perpetuate that neh? ;)

Especially, right now: LOOSE SOCK. This is 100% japanese. Almost everything that has to do with technology, comes from Japan because they are way more advance in that. |
this thread is going way off topic, but loose socks? if you're talking about leg warmers, they're from the 80's. american thing. japan just never got out of the trend when america did.
|
To whoever changed the thread title, well...good job. :thumbsup
|
hahahahah they changed the name of the thread! :D:D:

And hahaha.. nice new title. |
hahaha it seems that our friend here is a little bit too in love with ayu!
it's normal for a person to have a dog..... it's not a matter of "who's copying who". having a dog as a pet is a common thing to do, my friend. but if you're talking about fashion sense or most notably, her song/lyrics the it's a different kind of story. |
o.O
Ayu has hair ... I guess we're all copying Ayu o.O To some extent Japanese fashion affects American fashion ... but it takes a WHILE ... many of my Japanese friends have told me that clothing that is 'cool' here now .. they wore years ago in Japan lol |
Fashion is something hard keep track of. No one can really say from where some style came from bcuz it changes with time and regions. So yeah.. you can never really say who copied who.
|
We all like dogs, we all like new fashion trend setters.. so why not copy them also? :laugh
