anyone into Spanish rock or pop?
 

I'm sort of new to Spanish rock and pop, but already have some favorite groups and singers:
Elefante, Jaguares, Caifanes, Juanes, & Julieta Venegas

Songs that I heard on MTV Espanol that I like:

Chido- Liquits
Donde estaras- Si Senor
Abril- TK
Dame tu aire- Alex Ubago
No puedo parar- Polaris
dame otro tequilla- Paulina Rubio
A quien le importa- Thalia

there's lots more songs that I liked, but I don't remember the artists or the title (I should write them down...)

I heard this on a novela recently (don't remember which one) and fell in love:

Duele el amor by Aleks Syntek & Ana Torroja, it's SO pretty!

i like Alex Ubago's Dame tu aire!! i keep repeating that when i was playing Sims Hotel. now, it's like the theme song of that game. haha. Marc anthony is a good choice too! i like his dimelo and valio la pena. Toda and Aprendiz by Malu is good too. Escucha tu corazon by Laura Paussini is good too. i like christina aguilera's spanish song and shakira's. Santana is good too!

You should really check out David Bisbal. He won an American Idol-esque contest in Spain. He's a really great dancer and singer and his songs are really catchy.

I personally like Ave Maria and Lloaré.

There is also a girl named Natasha from Florida I think? You can find her on MTV.com but it's hard to find her music. It's great stuff though.

I love all spanish songs by Shakira~ and RIcky martin.

I have not gotten into spanish rock, but I am really interested in hearing and getting into the scene.
(I heard this spanish rock song as some clothing store and it really made me start to wonder what I might be missing in the spanish world)
I always thought that spanish music had a lot of the same sounds, (from what I hear in the states anyways ^^;), but I guess I have to give it a try to actually see its false.

i was more into pop than rock... and from the list i only liked Thalia... XD and shakira and Ricky Martin... Recomiedo Gloria Trevi! XD i love her! she has beautiful ballads and powerful songs.. she's rock and pop...

her latest album dunno... but i don't like it that much... if someone wants to upload her first single from her latest album just tell me :)

My knowledge of Spanish musical artists is so limited, heh. ^_^; The only ones that I listen to and LIKE so far is Selena and Shakira. >.> Hmm, maybe I should start listening to Spanish music more...

Shakira is awesome!!! But only her Spanish stuff, I don't like it when she translates her songs into English.

Does anybody knows Saiko?? It's one of my fav bands, they're from Chile... They are like alternative pop... very Garbage-like... great band... :yes

I've heard of him! Saw a video on MTVE not long ago... Pretty good song, but I don't remember the title... I only really remember one thing from the video, his tight jeans :D Lol.
He sort of remind me of Carlos Vives because of the hair.

Also, do you mean JD Natasha? (Unless there's another girl out there) I've seen two of her videos the first one reminded me of Ayu's Free & Easy since she was in this castle-ish place, and the pace of the song was slow-ish and then got strong on the chorus (I think the song is called "Lagrima"...). She has a new video out, but I haven't had a chance to really watch it yet, just snippets here and there.

"Lagrimas" is pretty good... JD Natasha has an amazing voice... :)

he has a lot of ballads [some of which are pretty dull] but uptempo tunes like remixes of [sueño su boca] [baila], and others like [prohibida] [estoy tan loco por ti] [as de corazones] etc are muito legal...

plus, [suerte] is much better than [whenever, wherever] :D

From the ones that have been mentioned, I like Juanes, Shakira (when she wasn't in the american market :grumpy ) and Mecano (spanish pop-ballad band which Ana Torroja sang with)
...and the absolutely weird band LULU JAM :D featuring a japanese, TAKA! :D
