What was the first Ayu song you ever heard?
 

I was thinking back to what was the first Ayu song I ever heard, and I was surprised to realize that it was actually a remix: End Roll Neuromantic mix. But End Roll will always be a very special song for me because after I heard the remix I checked out the original song and instantly fell in love. Does anyone recall the first Ayu song that they heard?

I will always remember that WHATEVER (Ferry System F) was my first Ayu song!!!! I still love it to this day!!!!!! I think it's a great remix to start out with! :p

I can't remember the first Ayu song I heard. I do remember the song that made me an Ayu fan: "Endless sorrow". The first time I heard it I was blown away and I knew there was something special about Ayumi Hamasaki.

Boys & Girls...seems like yesterday when I first heard that song back in Nov. 2000. When I first heard it, I must have played it 10000 times! Since then, I've probably heard every Ayu song, but Boys & Girls is still on my list of favs :thumbsup

Well, let's see, i've only been listening for a week now, so it would have to be the video Surreal, immediately followed by the video for Appears. I didn't like Surreal too much, but Appears definitely caught my attention. I checked out the vids first, because a friend on another form had a pic of his desktop, and it had ayumi. I posted and said she was hot, and he informed she was a great singer, so I d/led some stuff. I like the fact that she has around 6 outfits for Appears. I now have 20 songs and 5 or 6 videos.

first song i ever heard was a live version of evolution. honestly i wasn't impressed but i later downloaded some of her other songs and the two that got me into her were - and then (future disc mix) and end roll.

Ah, this is an easy question. I saw the video of "Love~Destiny" on TV and a few days later, I bought the single. :D

Man, wish I could see Ayu on TV here. *Sigh*....she is a no show in the U.S.

Mine was half an MP3 of Fly High being performed live. I was hooked straight away.

but i didn't bother at 1st...because it was too slow which is pretty boring since i'm more to trance/house n heavy metal...
but then i bought a compilation album....the one with Namie Amuro,Ayu,Takako Uehara,Speed....etc...
then i gave "Seasons" another chance...n i truly learnt to appreciate it..i was addicted to it actually..
then i saw Surreal PV soon after...
n now i can't get enough...

Boys & Girls was the second Ayu song that I heard!!!! My Japanese friend let me listen to it on her MD player. I absolutely loved it the first time I heard it!

The first songs I heard were "Evolution", "Seasons", and "End of the World". I was instantly hooked.

My first song I ever heard was "To Be". I heard it on telephone +grin+ my soundboxes dosn't work and do I called a friensd. She played To be on her computer and do I heard it :) that was so funny :roflmao

The first song I heard was I AM... from the album.. cuz itz the first song.. Then i got hooked instantly.. The solo totally melted me.. But I left the cd there for quit a while then i started to listen again.. wat really hooked me was evolution and M:)

WHATEVER (Ferry 'System F' Corsten extended vocal mix)...thought it would be a Japanese male DJ like FPM, Satoshi Tomiie, Towa Tei or Hiroshi Watanabe, turned out to be an addictive Jtrance song!!! (was looking for stuff by mr Corsten at the time)

I was nearly scared off her by the 2 next songs I heard:
"Love~since1999~" with Tsunku, and "Wishing", but I love that remix so much that I kept looking for song :D

Ever free is a really great song! I never did understand why it wasn't put on an album. It wouldn't have been perfect as a hidden track on Duty!

You're absolutelyt right!!!!! Ever free is such a great song and Duty is the album with fewer songs......Don't know why they forgot about this song....:shrug

End Roll was my first song. I loved that song, and listend to it over and over again... then I looked up Ayumi and found that she had a lot of fans, and she had just released "Seasons". I fell hard for her, and have been a fan ever since.

Yep from "A BEST"! It's in new vocals and the arrangements are a bit modified (not very much though- it's almost the same as the original song from LOVEppears/ A)

my first one was trauma, the dumonde remix... since i liked what i heard i downloaded a few tracks, and since i loved those too, i bought A Best. a couple of weeks after that i decided to order all the albums + the H single, and here i am today ;)

ohhh man...I cant even remember the site I found her at, but about 2 years ago I stumbled upon it and the first song I ever heard by her was "A Song For XX"

(I may be last posting, but ohh well! *laughs*) My uncle just yesterday asked me how I found ayumi and BoA and what made me like them so much since I didnt understand what they were saying. with ayu, I was really into anime at the time (sailor moon, gundam wing) and I wondered what the music was like, so I just searched and I found the site that made me like her since. with BoA, a girl came to my school in 8th grade and she was korean and couldn't speak much english at all, well, my friend tabitha was in one of her classes and when the girl placed in a cd and BoA's voice came out of it, tabitha was all immediately interested and the girl showed her the cd which was her don't start now cd, I can't seem to remember the title of it, but tabitha told me about it, so I was rather interested as well and here I am..hehe..

However, on the site, there wasn't only A Song For XX, but also ~ End Roll, Pokerface, Boys & Girls, Immature, Fly High, & Audience..

i recently acquired the movie...i wuz preety surprised by it...

Always found myself intrigued by Japanese culture and media, and downloaded a random Japanese-named file which turned out to be Boys and Girls MV via WinMX.
Instantly hooked by the distictiveness of her voice, and was soon amazed at the amount of material available: Ayu is so prolific and hard-working that she deserves our support and respect.

As a bonus she's made me aware of many other far-eastern artists which I now enjoy.


RIAA (copyrighters) take note: I've bought a load of her her CDs and DVDs as a result of file-sharing software, so it works both ways.

Cuz we were on a bus to visit a college when I was in 8th grade. so yeah i remember exactly how I came across her. And then "evolution" was my next song i heard....and that was 4 years ago....whoa!

my first ayu song was "M"... hmm... seems like not many people listened to that one first... but all i remember was a friend recommended that i listen to ayumi's songs, so i downloaded a random song (which was "M") and i was very surprised how good the song was... after that, i downloaded a few more songs... and then i went out and instantly bought all four of her CDs (A Best had recently come out back then) and here i am still enjoying her music!

My first Ayu song was Fly High.
I was at an anime forum that was basically a forum and a site combined..it was called Shimai-Duo..and they had her LOVEppears album for download, and I downloaded Fly High to see what she was like since a lot of people there liked her..and then I went on to DL Boys and Girls...and those two songs got me hooked on ayu! :D

The first song I ever heard was "M (Above & Beyond mix)". Because someone made a DWI of it. And I liked it a lot, so I went home to DL some more stuff.. ^_^ And the song that kept me hooked afterwards was "Evolution" and "Duty" (I've been listening to Ayu for about two years now. ^_^

And the first PV I saw was "Evolution" Great video. She's so cute in it. ^_~*

First Ayu song... hm... that'd be Fly High. I was at a lovely little forum in about October of last year (I'm a fairly new Ayu fan ^^; ) and a lot of people were talking about how wonderful she was. I'd never listened to JPOP because I didn't think it was accessible... Then one day I read the lyrics (also at that forum) to Hikki's "Simple & Clean", thought it was beautiful, and downloaded it. Then I was like, "if I like this, maybe I'll like that Ayumi Hamasaki person too" so I did a search in KaZaA and downloaded "Fly High" cos it sounded interesting. First listen I wasn't that thrilled, but a couple days later I listened again and thought it was good. Plus I found some pictures and I was amazed by how gorgeous she was, so I downloaded more. End of story. ^^

I remember the first ayu's single that i heard was FLY HIGH NONSTOP MEGA MIX. I t was such a cool, fast, disco, trance mix that lead me to become a fan of AYu.
But however ayu's 1st single Nothing to nothing (1995) i never heard of that yet. i really want to hear how was her voice sounds like when she was only 16

And ithas nothing to do with Inu Yasha, I've never seen the series >.< I basically heard my friend talk about how much he loved her, so I saw "Dearest" for download, so I did, and it was so beautiful; absolutely gorgeous song. The first CD I bought of her's was "UNITE!". This was all back in late 2001, early 2002. Obsession soon took place.

My very first Ayu song was Evolution.
I was reading an article about Japanese idol in a French magazine, and so, obviously, there was Ayu, so i've searched some songs and the first one i've heard was Evolution, and it's still my favourite song ever. Made me love Ayu.
And i remember just after that, i've searched some PVs, 'cause i wanted to "see" her, and the very first PV i saw was Seasons (well i would have prefer the Evolution one, or M one)

AUDIENCE was the first song of Hamasaki Ayumi... I'd heard her other stuff, but only small parts of it, &I wasn't very interested. But when I heard AUDIENCE... everything opened up to me. I really fell in love with that song. Even today, I think it's prolly one of her best songs.

A friend sent me Evolution (Goldenscan Remix) from Cyber Trance Presents Ayu Trance and I immediately knew I had to get more. I'm more of a dance/trance person, and I didn't really like Ayu's original versions of the songs until I listened to them the whole way through. So I bought the trance remix albums.. then started with the original albums.. and you all can guess where I ended up after that (hint: I have them all now! bwaha!).

SEASONS on TV when they were playing the cm for Duty... I didn't like Ayu then.

Far away "Rank 1 Remix". But what got me hooked was End roll (from LOVEppears).

As a very new Ayu initiate, my very first song was Forgiveness. I found it today in my folder of anime music (for some odd reason) and accidentally included it in my playlist and loved it. Since then, I have been looking all over for more, and found this forum. I've found a few songs, but am always interested in more downloads. I also found some lyrics sites too.
