Ayumi Arena Tour 2005 Saitama Report live from Japan
 

Hi,

My name is Mark I am on holiday in Japan and last night I saw my first Ayumi Concert with my japanese friend!!! It was in Saitama Super Arena on Sunday 6th March!!

I thought I would give you a report while it is fresh in my memory for anyone who wants to know what the concert is like this year.

There were so many people arriving at the arena I felt so lucky to have a ticket. As we approached the arena there were lots of people selling fake ayu goods and everyone was buying them cos they were so cheap. They had posters, tshirts, keyrings, stickers, towels etc. I could not resist cos some of it looked cool and its ayu ofcourse.

Then as we approached the arena the official goods were on sale there. I think I bought everything in sight!!! LOL They also were promoting the countdown dvd and had her complete discography for sale. So I managed to update my collection with cds I had not been able to get. Then we entered the arena for the concert!! OH MY GOD LOL!!

We were up quite high in the arena but we were to the right of the stage and had a perfect view. The stage was nice with a runway with a circle at the end. When the lights went out the stage had pink flowers all over it, it was so beautiful. Also everyones light sticks looked cool in the dark. They showed a video of ayu at the start and she was pulling off her face to reveal another ayu with different style wigs on!! It looks so cool and the music was kalidoscope.

Then the show opened with Happy ending my favourite song from the album!! It was so cool she was wearing a beautiful dress. And performed it on a balcony. Then the played a video with Ayu charging through the desert on an iron horse wearing gold. It was sooooo cool!! Then she appeared singing Inspire "HERE WE GO!!" she shouted and I actually cried HOW SAD LOL but I dont care. It was an amazing performance she sounds so good live guys honestly.

She sang Surreal. Then she sang Unite!!! wearing the same outfit. Then they showed a video of ayu wearing a white dress with guys wearing black. They were on like a chessboard chasing each other with ayu being the white queen and the guys trying to track her down in a maze of black and white squares. It was cool to watch when they finally catch up with her she sings Game and appears on stage. The song after that was my names woman.

Im finding it hard to remember more LOL I was so exited. She sang moments wearing a big puffy dress and then walking proud wearing a a blue dress with beautiful lights on it. She also sang carols on the circular part of runway and twinkling lights were all around her and snow fell. it was so cool.

She sang u Honey wearing that cool cute pink outfit and then she sang evolution and boys and girls. When she sang boys and girls water fountains shot up at the front of the stage it was MEGA COOL!!!!!!! Everyone was shocked it looked so wonderful with different colours of light.

During the encore she was telling everyone how she had fell at last nights concert sat!! But she was okay and was laughing about it with the rest of the band members. She sang Trauma and yes i did the dance and she made everyone do a wave in the audience. It was fun.

Then she taught us the dance to Humming 7/4 and then she sang it. It was good fun!! The tracklist is correct that has been posted from the start of the concert run. So i was really pleased. I was sad for the show to end but so greatful that I could watch it. I hope u find this interesting to read and u can ask anything and I will try to tell you. I better go now and enjoy Tokyo and find some more ayu stuff to buy LOL

That report was so awesome! Goosebumps indeed. I really want to take a holiday to Japan soon, but i wanna make sure Ayu is having a consert at the time, and that i can get tickets :)

Wow tht report u wrote was fantastic. Nicely detailed and made me want to watch the concert a million timez the 10x i wanna watch it before, going a bit craZy lol. newayz cheap Ayu products on sale and her whole discography, how much did the CDs cost??? When i went to Japan the only Ayu thing i saw was the CAROLS Lumix camera poster on the train. Sigh patiently waiting for the DVD

Thanks　for all your messages. I have always wanted to see ayu live and because I live in Scotland I dont get much info on ayu. That is why I visit this forum everyday. So i wanted to give something back to the users of this forum and let you know more detailed info on the concert.

The fake ayu goods that were on sale at the concert start from 100 yen and are no more than 500 yen. There were some things that were just kinda stupid and did not look good quality, but I did pick up some nice key chains of the A logo and a tshirt with the my story a logo. My japanese friend bought me some ayu photos!!

The official goods were exactly the same that you have already seen for sale online. I also managed to get some ayupan and a countdown live 2004/2005 towel and glowing wristbands. They must have had some left over from that concert and were selling them at the arena concerts.

They had all her discography for sale including a+nation dvd and albums. cds were quite cheap starting from about 10,000 yen and if u bought the countdown live dvd u got a free poster of that concert. And if you bought 2 or more cds u got a my story poster free.

The my story book had loads of beautiful pictures inside I was so glad that I bought it - when i get home I can take some pictures and upload them for u guys to see!!

Some more concert info - u know how ayu normally sings independant and throws balls into the crowd. Well this concert does not have independant in the song list but she did throw balls into the crowd during Trauma I think cant remember which song. LOL

Inspire was a fantastic performance and had flames shooting up at the front of the stage it was awsome. Her voice was so amazing and her dance moves were so smooth and slick!!

At the encore she was wearing blue jeans and white vest top - she looked sooooo hot!!! She really is beautiful when u see her in real life.

Also when i was doing the Trauma dance (so always wanted to do that at the concert!!) a young japanese boy knocked my glow stick out of my hand and it hit the woman in front of me on the head. The boys mother was so apologetic to me and the boy was bowing so many times saying gomen gomen (sorry). It was really ok i had to give him a hichew to calm him down!! LOL he was just having such a good time and bumped into me lol!!

Okay better get some sleep now - going to osaka tomorrow to visit a friend ;)
For all those going to her concert you are gonna have a blast seriously!!! It was soooo good. And for those who cant go I`m sorry if I made u jealous but I hope u liked the report anyway and u must buy this DVD!!!!

Thanks so much for all the details! But I think you mean the CDs started at 1,000 yen and not 10,000. 10,000 would be around $100.00 :) At least I HOPE they don't cost that much when I get there. :) Where were you seated in the arena? Do people on the floor level get a good view even if they are past like the first 30 rows?

duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudddddde.. that's so awesome!! I can't wait to go to Japan this August (i'll be there for a year).. maybe i'll be lucky enough to see Ayu live, never know- let's pray.

Sounds great! But did she actually sing Boys & Girls, or did she do the annoying 'I'll sing one line, you do the next' thing?

I think most fans that watch her live, prefer having Boys and Girls be more interactive. I'd rather help Ayu sing the lines than her be out of breath and sing them badly. :)

Well I suppose that would be better for fans actually in the concert, but when I watch it on my television, I'd rather see her sing. I don't pay £30 so that I can watch the audience do karaoke for half a song.

That's difference of actually going to concerts. You will love the chance to sing to Ayu, instead of her singing to, for a chance. But on a TV screen, yes I will much more prefer to see Ayu sing, even though the audience singing give a tid of the atmosphere feel of the concert.

When you're in different environments, you have different needs.
