Ayumi Hamasaki is CREA?!?!?!
I read at this site (http://encyclopedia.laborlawtalk.com/Ayumi_Hamasaki ) that Ayumi Hamasaki is CREA! Is that really true? In one of the polls on this site (who is your favorite composer for Ayu or something like that), I voted for CREA, because I really loved M. If she is CREA, then I applaud her for her awesome work!

^CREA is ayu's penwriting for signing her compositions. It's also the name of one of her dogs.

It's italian actually, but yeah, it is western. Ayu pronounces it "kurea" (in romaji), but i guess w/ an american accent it's pronounced "KRAY-ah" or "KRAY-uh".

I pronounced it Cree (long e) - ah. It's also in the Honda bike commercial.

anyways not sure if she uses any other ones but seriously.....doesnt she write all of her songs?.....I think i heard some where dat Ayu composes all of her songs and this thing said dat she said she never exagerates and always write how she feels and never lies in her songs?....or somethin |
She always writes the lyrics, but she hardly ever writes the melody (that's what a "music" or "composition" credit is in japan, pretty much). She wrote the melody for almost every song on the "I am..." album, but not much since then. The only time she ever did the song's arrangement (which is to say, what instruments there are and where they go -- this is "producing" a song in the US) is "WONDERLAND" on "MY STORY".

^ Gosh I wish I knew as much about Ayu as you do Delirium! thankyou for the wonderful information, I did know that she writes all her lyrics.. but I didnt know she did the melody for almost every song on "I am..." album! ^_^ That's so cool to know, I wish I had her talent!

Well, you learn something new every day...
And I suppose it would be kind of insane to expect Ayu to be an incredible musical writer, in addition to writing excellent lyrics and being quite the singer. I'll deal with the music and instrumentation not being hers, I still love her voice and words. I also pronounced "CREA" as "kree-ah" in my head, long E, short A. |
