is this true?

is this the original song title were true?
Memorial address --> spider
theme of a-nation '03 --> Precious summer
forgiveness --> LOVE ~protecting for~
NEVER EVER --> YOUR WISH
Dearest --> LOVE ~reality~

if that true, it mean LOVE has many series.. but.. I don't know

Joel 15th July 2005 09:38 AM

Interesting titles that actually fit the lyrics... but im a lil confused with spider... i dunno i have read the lyrics for that.

[EDIT]

These titles are better than the original ones. :yes

jojo-chen 15th July 2005 09:45 AM

is that true *sob* *sob*... T_T

y2687 15th July 2005 09:50 AM

Memorial Address, she took the singing/music style from another song called Spider and re-did her own.

RAISKA 15th July 2005 09:59 AM

Never heard about this!

Gunblitze 15th July 2005 10:12 AM

hmmm, i dont *think* its true... ;)

Delirium-Zer0 15th July 2005 03:43 PM

Where'd you get these from?

The only songs i can tell you had titles that were changed were "M" (Originally "BLISS", confirmed by avex as a new single released and then the title changed) and "Endless sorrow" (changed from "SEPIA" because shela had a single of the same name being released around the same time).

Nikki 15th July 2005 05:08 PM

Those are some interesting titles, but I've never heard anything about them...
I also didn't know that Ayumi changed 2 songtitles to M and Endless sorrow. What does "Sepia" mean?

Sepia is that color effect on the cover of endless sorrow, it makes pictures look old.

Ah, thank you :)

It's an interesting name for a song.

"Sepia" refers to a brownish hue on a photograph; the effect the photograph takes in which it's not quite a color photo, but not quite a black and white photo. Here's an example:

Hmm. Would've been an interesting follow-up to "Monochrome".

Hehe, certainly true ;) Thanks for the explanation and the example. :)

spyro 15th July 2005 06:32 PM

these titles make sense more lol
especially forgiveness and never ever
only dearest sounds weird but its nice
i wouldt doubt much

Euroboy 15th July 2005 07:15 PM

that's really awesome. it seems like they each make sense. i wouldn't be surprised. And that's awesome about the 'M' and 'Endless sorrow' title changes. wow.. thanks for the info :)

Coelacanth 15th July 2005 07:20 PM

I would have much prefered SEPIA over Endless sorrow... Oh well...

bernardation 15th July 2005 07:33 PM

SEPIA is such a cool title... too bad it was changed

hmm me too endless sorrow is way too sad/deep of a title for the song

devilayu 15th July 2005 08:27 PM

I think it's important to emphasize that the titles in the first post are just rumors. Yvette cleared up the Memorial Address/Spider thing, and Delirium-Zer0's post has the only confirmed changed titles. Wouldn't want false info being floated around, causing utter confusion in the Ayumi fan world, you know?

y2687 15th July 2005 08:43 PM

^ especially for the new fans, heh. Then we'd get a bunch of new threads trying to figure it out.

Personally, I like Endless Sorrow a lot better, it sounds sadder. Sepia just reminds me of all the recent titles, which I'm not too fond of.

PickleCookies 15th July 2005 09:03 PM

I would only like another title for Endless sorrow if it were 'Wingless Angel.' Otherwise no.

Delirium-Zer0 16th July 2005 01:20 AM

I think SEPIA implies something about the song that we don't get otherwise.... the color is usually used to make something look or feel older (like an old movie), which makes the song seem more nostalgic. There's no feeling of reminiscence we get from the lyrics on their own, although the title implies that the sadness might be in the past and is still going today. It's kind of a stretch, though, compared to the obvious implications of "SEPIA". "BLISS" Would have been a very interesting and ironic title for M though, don't you think?

ame-no-koe 16th July 2005 02:57 AM

I think UNITE! 's title used to be Survivor. I stumbled upon this a long time ago and wonder what happened to the Survivor single, but then I saw this thread and I think I know what happened. i got this from Hamasaki Republic http://www.hamasaki-republic.org/news_0501.shtml

AyuGAME 16th July 2005 03:50 AM

i think it was a fan made title
i prefer the real one
except for the theme of a-nation 03 - precious summer is pretty nice too. but from i know
precious summer is the title of the them of a-nation 04 and it isn't ayu that sing the song

oh wow i didnt know that, SEPIA is a kool song title and i also relli love endless sorrow as well! so i dun mind, whereas "M" i'd much prefer "Bliss" instead

Delirium-Zer0 16th July 2005 04:55 AM

ame-no-koe: UNITE! was always UNITE!, 'Survivor' was just a rumored song title that showed up a bit before that. Although, UNITE! did go through some transformations. have you ever noticed the vocals in the bridge are different in EVERY remix on the single? They're all using an earlier vocal track, ayu decided to switch two lines at the last minute. Also, four of the remixes used to have different names, which are reflected on the promo cassette of the single.

ame-no-koe 16th July 2005 09:09 AM

ohhh wow you are almighty supreme and smart XD

Delirium-Zer0 16th July 2005 06:05 PM

No, i just used frequent clubayu.com, back when it existed (later i ran the site when webmaster Censations lost interest) :P I dont' think i'd remember alot of this old news if i hadn't just had NO LIFE back in 2001, when i was at the peak of my ayu fandom... :P That and I... well... STILL have no life.

Jennie Mae 17th July 2005 11:24 PM

I doubt that's true. They're probably just rumor titles that were made before teh songs came out. Where did you hear about this?

PickleCookies 17th July 2005 11:40 PM

We already discussed this:

Chibi_Venus 18th July 2005 01:02 AM

I always thought that Ayu's Dearest song was similar to the song Dream Away by Babyface and Lisa Steinfeld (sp?). It could just sound the same to me, but I always wondered if Ayu heard the song before because one of her favorite singers is Babyface, and he sang in Dream Away.

As for a note on the other songs like M and Endless sorrow: That's pretty interesting! :)

Delirium-Zer0 18th July 2005 03:16 PM

Jennie Mae: unfortunately the info isn't anywhere now, but "BLISS" was at several ordering sites and then removed completely, then put back up as "M" a bit later. "SEPIA" also, and I read an old news article about it at not the official avex site, but one that only has official info... like oricon or something, or maybe yesasia cuz this was back when they had more news articles there. I think a few older ayu fans can probably back me up on both.

~K+ 18th July 2005 03:46 PM

'Survivor' is fan-made just like 'Immaculate', 'SURROUND' etc.

And I can back Zer0 up on "SEPIA", I'm pretty sure cdjapan listed it before the title was changed. Considering they also confirmed the 2CD 'A Best' until Avex changed their mind to cut it down to 1CD.

I'm pretty sure you're right.
