[old] chinese newspaper talking bad about ayu
Chinese newspaper 'wanbao' got a very small section talking about AYu visiting asian countries outside Japan. My scanner isn't working now but I'll scan up the page when it's working. It seems that people from Taiwan, Hong Kong, China are complaining about Ayu's attitude while she's in foreign countries like the ones mentioned. They say that Ayu is very arrogant, think herself very big (!!) Like the unhappy incident in China, I think most of us here know about it and the other is in Taiwan which Ayu rejected TaoZi's interview and TaoZi got kinda mad. Also in Hong Kong, people accusing Ayu of her arrogance has affected fans of ayu in Hong Kong and also the upcoming concert (in HK). :shrug
I am thinking if it's really true?? You see, Ayu always appear very friendly in her concerts and the time she came to Singapore to attend MTVAA, she was really cute!: |
hmmm......*thinking*
ummm...
we won't really know the "real" Ayu unless we know her personally...
but ppl always have this "arrogance" impression on almost all big stars...if they reject an offer or doesn't agree in something.. probably they'll be accusing the artist of being stuck up... oh well... |
Guess that we'll just have to play it carefully.... just hope that Ayu wasn't really pretending.
I dont really know what to say...but I hope things turn out for the good, this isnt the greatest way to start a new year!
Those Chinese newspapers love to publish crap and they love to bash Ayu. I wouldn't worry about it guys. Of course Ayu is going to act a little weird when she isn't in her home country, but I don't fully trust what they say 'cause those newspapers will do anything to sell copies of whatever their publishing. The things they say might have happened, but then again they might not have. So I'm not going to worry about it. :)
I've been seeing a bit of ayu bashing from the chinese. Dunno, maybe they don't like her after that incident? Stuck up? Get real...
I honetsly, 100% believe that Ayu is in no way "arrogant" or "stuck up". Why would she be like that? She must have worked extremely hard to get where she is now, and i think that practically all artists that work that hard are never stuck up. They work hard and they accomplish great things. If their careers were just given to them freely, then they woul be more likely to be stuck up.
muwhahaha its true these chinese newpaper always publish bs! LOL!!!!!!in this one we have called sing tao sometime has crap about her
Crazy chininians! lol
me chinese!!!!!! :curse :caa but i am crazy hehehe :roflmao :roflmao :roflmao :roflmao :roflmao
lol hope i didnt offend you in any way chinese warrior lol just a joke
^^^ West Michigan! There's a lot of Michiganders here!
That aside, I don't think Ayu is at all stuck up. Of course, I've never met her, but she does a lot of stuff for free in Japan. I think it's just people who think she is, so they get the vibe. A lot of people think say... Christina Aguleria is stuck up. And as much as I don't like her, I don't think she's that stuck up. I dunno... just a thought. |

Truth of the matter is they they'll do anything to sell copies of their newspaper, wheter or not what they print is correct.. I think every country has at least on off these types of publications. It's popular to bash Ayu and other popular people in the public eye because people will want to know everything about her - picking into her life etc. (why tabloids print about famous people) I think it actually shows how big of a name she is in China if they're printing about her (good or bad), because why print about someone no one knew or cared about? This shows that more people are aware of her there now.
Ashley |
Good point, Ashley! The tabloids always badmouth celebrities! I swear that I see Oprah at least every 2 weeks on the cover of one (Saying: "OUTTA' CONTROL" and showing a photoshopped picture of her) So, if Ayu's in the paper and people are still buying her cds in hong kong and taiwan... well... she's just popular! |
I agree...there are chinese newspaper out there that publish rubbish..but definitely not ALL...
for example, there are japanese newspapers & magazines bashing ayu too (and i'm pretty sure that these kinda pretty pony~pretty pony~pretty pony~ newspaper are more than chinese ones since ayu is in japan)...I mean there are tabloids everywhere in the world...maybe why newspapers in europe or america don't publish ayu-bashin articles is that she's not as popular there....it doesn't mean that if one day ayu got famous in america....tabloids will have her on the cover... I just don't think it seems fair to say like chinese newspapers are gay or that chinese are crazy...and I think we've been discussing this in several threads already...letz more isolate a particular language of newspaper and point at it |
:curse :curse :curse :curse :curse :curse im crazy LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!i am ver offended!!!haha kidding
Yeah, chinese newspapers always "make things up" when it didn't happen at all - and when the incidents were small they tend to make it big and stuff... well for example, there were 2 chinese singers in HK (newbies... well not really new, but they are quite popular) one of them called edison the other one i forgot his english name... anyways it was about the jade solid gold music award in a HK TV channel (TVB, if u wanna know)
what happens is that rumors say that they both liked the same girl in a very popular singing group in HK called twins, and during the award show they "bumped into each others' shoulders" when they get on stage - something like that - anyways, the reporters made this incident so big that starts rumouring about them staring at each other, swearing at each other, fighting each other in the parking lot, etc..... which went on 4 days straight and ended up in the first page of the news entertainment section of some big newspapers in HK... ... i mean ... lol such a thing worth to be mentioned for 4 days straight? you can see how ridiculous the reporters can get, just to boost up their sales. |
oh LOL they even mentioned alan tam in that article (saying that ayu didn't know how one should act in front of a lot of ppl or smthn like that) - i SO believe that he won't say that coz i know him.. my uncle was in his soccer team (the stars soccer team, they called it) LOL!
That's really weird.. because didn't a chinese newspaper say that Ayu bumped into someone elses shoulder at the chinese-japan concert in beijieng?
Could they be any more unorginal? HAHA Ashley |
haha did she really?
Cant blif all these articles... cant go n criticise ayu... as i haf not noe ayu's real person... but bet that ayu is not that kind of person
to me, i always felt that ayu was quite a humble person..
haha yeah shes humble ^_^ she seems very kind too
"take a rest, give urself a deep sleep, u'll find out they're just jelous of u!" this will be my first word to ayu if she's just by
my side. |
It could be real, depends on Ayu herself, she knows herself well.
I doubt it, she seems very nice on TV, besides, like .001% of what you read in a tabloid isn't made up or hasn't been greatly exaggerated.
I couldn't decide on which smilie'd look best, so I chose all of 'em.
:untied :bslap :punch :bigbslap :sarclap :kick :backhand I'd also like to refer to PickleC's signature. |
^ LOL...
So what if Ayu's a *****? |

wat incident??? tell me tell me =D |
devil! don't you all realize how OLD this is?!! Can threads on here be locked? If so, I say lock it.
Well..I'm curious too..what was "that incident". XD sorry..I'm always late.
i dont understand why but asian media in general not only newspaper likes to bash ppl .......... i read on alot of asian newspapers theres usually a section for entertainment news or some papers are just entertainment news and most of the articles are usually about bad gossip or some other form of bashing....... i guess in that way they will get ppl to read their papers ....... its reli sad ppl do that i think they should hav some respect for the celebrities!!!!!!!!
i dont think dis is true ..
newspapers always biased !!! but if ayu is arrogance ... i dont think ayu is the only one .. THink about BoA !! and Utada and other famous artists ... |
OH MY GOD?!?! Not ANOTHER newspaper talking bad about ayu?!?! (<- sarcasm, juuuust to be sure)
get over it.. some people do like her, some people don't. and i sense a small bias on chinese newspapers... about the same size as the bias against Jolin XD |
Another paper bashes a celeb... guess some so-called 'writers' have nothing better to do than spread malicious gossip...
there are always people out there who wants to defame Ayu

c'mon...maybe they said this because alot of chinese people have a thing about the japanese...you know with the war and all~
Because of the war, the older chinese tend to hate Japanese people. But, this is just a tabloid. They will always say things that make everything sound worse and worse.
But isn't it hypocrite from the interview guy to get really mad because Ayu canceled the interview? I think it is. |
wow old news. but even if AYu is arrogant, well she's just like every other Chinese celebrities though :) ... and every other big shot in the world for that matter.
well...she MIGHT have been just ACTING friendly from what we have seen~ but who knows? and another thing is that she IS BIG! and she has every right to be arrogant~ isn't it? although not many people will welcome this.
I dun really care about all these bad talks~ but no one is perfect rite? as long as she continues making good music for us~ that's enough! To me she'll always be the diva she is now~ |
I don't believe that mess either about ayu being "stuck up". it doesn't sound like her at all. it's just bad press.

she must b a good actor den |
There is no proof for either way.
this what i think
artist being snobby is normal, cuz so many people will be around them asking them lots of question.. it is normal, if they get sick af those reporters and try to avoid them, :yes in reporter's point of view, they will think that ayu is being arrogant and snobby.. :irked well just imagine u are being followed by them all the time, i'm sure u'll get annoyed too right :mischief |
^I can believe that.
Any person, no matter how much attention they like to have will get pissed off sooner or later after being hassled by a bunch of people with cameras all day long. I'm surprised that after all this time Ayu hasn't gone gangsta-pissed and beat somebody up for the lies people have been spreading. Most likely, this is just a case of not wanting to be bothered with an interview at that time. As far as I know/heard Ayu's never been directly rude to a fan of hers so this "fabrication" isn't really credible to me. Besides; who said Ayu doesn't have the right to say 'NO' sometimes? She's been in the industry since she was practically a child so what more do they want her to give; BLOOD?! <I couldn't resist saying that. I saw this lady on TV say that to her children once after they'd been driving her crazy for so long. I wonder if Ayu will ever say something like that to the tabs? |
hmmm has Ayu ever donated blood?

To be a chineses , I know some tabloids often make canard to attract reader's eyes . AYU have been to HK&tw AYU was lovely &friendly there |

We donīt know the real ayu, but newspaper doesn't tell the truth anyway! In China, Germany... It's all the same!!!!
actually the ayu's incident in china with coco lee was true. the webmaster of 94jpop was the translator at that event. he said the incident was just a misunderstanding.
i have noting to say...
but, im a Chinese. some of us dont like ayu is because of something in the past and...it's hard to describe...but at least, we're not as foolish and awful as you think. i love ayu, that's what is important. NO RESPECT, NO FRIEND. what rubbish. |

I dont believe that the chinese newspapers are telling the truth....probably just to make her lose some fans or something
If that's the case, the editor or writer must has a personal thing against Ayu.
is that true chinese newspaper talking bad about ayu?but i think ayu is not do bad thing
well... taiwan newspaper is juz jealous of ayumi.... she can't be compared to Taiwan's jolin tsai, jay chou..... and Ayumi's songs are really damn nice.... it would be good if another singer would translate to chinese or english and sing... of course, the composer's name will be under her, CREA....
Who cares? It's a tabloid, they are the same way all over the world. Western tabloids are just as bad - if not worse. Look at how they blow up the supposed relationship of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie...
I wouldn't dismiss Ayu until she, you know, personally offended me. =P |
Quote:
Haha. If I met her, I'd rather get along with her than not. =P
But really, if the story is true... oh well? A lot of celebs just have arrogant moments and aren't always that way. I've heard personal stories of Robin Williams being nice, and at other times just being an outright snob, for example. |
Hahaha... I think this NEWS kinda funny because there's never a time i believe wot people have to say 'bout Ayu in Asia. Mostly, they're all only tabloids. I'll only believe in official news...
i think taiwan and hongkong artist jealous with ayumi's voice.Ayumi's voice is so soft right?
