I heard from other topic posted that kinki kids cd selling is spectacular... all albums and singles of them always grab the 1st position in oricon chart. due to this achievement.. they even included in guinness book of record for it.
that's why many people included me wanna know the situation... when kinki kids release their "F" album in a short period after ayu's "RAINBOW" release... so fast for ayu to fall down from the 1st position ^_^ |
omg.... this is soooo sad..... hopes ayu will remain there for many many weeks!!!! ;) ;)

i really wouldn't worry about ayu falling out of the number 1 spot. she is selling way to many cd's over here. it's pretty crazy. there are huge posters everywhere, on trains, billboards, etc....

It's just the daily chart. That usually just reflects whatever album has been released most recently. The weekly album sales is a better reflection of the popularity in my opinion.

Daily charts can easily change, well, daily. Weekly ones are a lot better as it's really hard to judge how something is selling from just one day

Yeah, the Weekly and Monthly charts are a better chart of the sales. Anything brand new is going to dominate its first couple days. But if its not that great, the weekly/monthly sales will take a nose dive.

The Kinki Kids are pretty good. Their most recent single is "Kanashimi Blue". Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Anyway, it's 2 guys, and they're pretty good. I personally think so anyway, and I guess so does a lot of Japan. LoL! Anyway, if you wanna hear a song by them, download that one. |

havent u all heard bout the secret of kink kids strgt no 1's releases?well, its becoz they keep releasing cd's when there's not much of a competition on the charts....they always delay their release whenever they find out theres a potential release that's gonna grab that no 1 position from them on the same day... if im not mistaken,their song 'kanashimi blue' was supposed to be releasedon 24th april 2002,but when ayumi suddenly announced the release of 'free & easy' on the same date,kinki kids pushed forward their release to a latter date... anyway,not just that one,thers alot of them that ive forgot :P now,i dun call that a record,are they :P |

Nooo... I don't think they're THAT sneaky. But everyone does it. Since when has Ayumi and Utada released a song in the same week?
And if they do it with singles, why would they release their album the week after Ayu's? If they're afraid of people's singles doing well, they'd do it with albums as well. But they released it anyway, and it's still number one. I think that's total speculation. |
Ranking Update
I just checked the Oricon ranking, and Ayu has once again taken the Number 1 spot for the daily charts. The weekly chart still isn't up, but the daily is as follows:
1) Ayumi Hamasaki - "Rainbow" 2) Kick the Can Crew - "Magic Number" 3) B'z - "The Ballads~ Love & B'z~" 4) Do As Infinity - "True Song" 5) Kinki Kids - "F Album" Sometimes they're slow with updating, so I wouldn't be surprised if Ayu had been at the top this whole time! |

Well, it's kind of a compliment to say that the Kinki Kids are afraid of Ayu! :D I had no idea that they would delay a release to keep their record! Anyway, didn't Ayumi and Hikki release Abest and Distance at the same time? |

Well... Ayumi still is number 1 on the weekly charts with 571,027 units sold this week.

OUCH! Well... I guess Chemistry is right. They are "Second to None". They've taken the top spot and pushed Ayu's "Rainbow" to the third spot with the help of the Kick the Can Crew.
