NEW INITIATE RANKS? everyone please read
 

Dear Initiates,

The AHS staff have been considering a revision of the initiate ranking system. The user title system at Ayumi Hamasaki Sekai is based on the titles of Ayu's songs. After you post a certain number of messages in the forum you are assigned new rank. The lowest member rank is "vogue Initiate". The next title is "SEASONS Initiate", then "ever free Initiate", and so forth...

Right now no songs from "A Song for XX" or "LOVEppears" are being used for normal initiates. We want to overhaul the initiate ranks to include songs from these albums.

We need to know what everyone thinks.

Should we change all the ranks and start over? Your post count will remain the same, but the title under your nickname will be different.

Or would you prefer to keep everything as it is know?

I think that would be deffo cool! I don't mind bearing the title of a song released before my present one, they're all Ayu songs, therefore great! I remember when I joined the forum I was wondering why the previous songs were not included, hehe! Go on!

Yep!!! But the range between one title top the other cannot be too long cause well...there are lots of songs that weren't included and it would take like centuries to be a duty initiate or something like that:laugh

As of now, there aren't too many people with over 2000 posts, so there shouldn't be a problem with running out of ranks. If we were to put in every one of Ayu's songs, it's last for quite a long time. But if you'd like the idea of new ranks, be sure to post your ideas/suggestions here :).

I think that new ranks would be awesome! Like, starting out with ayu's first song and moving on up! Neato idea!

Well, sadly I have to think the other way. I admit that there is nothing wrong with doing this at all yet these ranks have been going for a long time and I myself, am happy with the way they are. I would just like to say that I won't get angry or anything if they are changed, i just like them now the way they are.

Either way the new ranking system goes is fine with me.

I've always thought that the system should go in chronological order, but with her singles. Granted, she has _only_ 28, but the only people that surpass 2800 posts are either moderators or administrators... so I'm sure it'll work.

Nothing has been finalized, but we are planning to use album songs as well. The list I am working with right now has 48 songs.

I voted yes, but I don't think it's that important. I don't really pay attention to the ranking system anyways. :robot

yup.... change the interval to a more even one......

I'm stuck with "No More Words Initiate" since I posted 850 posts...... now look at my rank.......still a "No More Words Initiate" at over 1100 posts......

the stars should also revamp.
haha.. think many of us are stuck with 5 yellow ones ........

i will go with it as long as we dont lose the amount of posts we already have...

i have a sugestion though bout the stars...
maybe we have it like this....
1st 5 stars are yellow....then as the posts increase... the stars change colour to somthing like blue or red....1 at a time till all 5 changes color...

EdenZone & Liddokun - we'll have a think about revamping those stars and changing the colours. Thanks for the suggestion! :D

Sure go ahead.There's nothing wrong with a little change.

I also thought about adding some other stars a while ago, but I'm not sure about the details just yet. We may use the idea of different colored stars for a certain amount of ranks, then another set for others, but as of now, nothing's been finalized yet, so stay tuned :).

Different colored stars would be cool. Maybe with the RAINBOW songs, have the stars multiple colors like a rainbow. :)

I think the ranks should go in the order the singles came out. That way, those ppl new to Ayu's music will know the chronological order of how they were released. Also, the rare singles (like appears, kanariya, audience, fly high) they should be colored different from the rest coz they are so special. Just a suggestion. :)

I have a question: will there be ranks for all songs from Ayu, like for example..."Present initiate" or "LOVE ~refrain~ initiate " or you'll just choose some older songs? LOL:laugh

It will be a mix of everything, although when talking with the staff, I'm not sure if a guy would want to be called a "girlish Initiate" :laugh

Since 90% of the people who have voted in the poll so far are in favor of revising the ranks, it looks like we will be changing them.

We will be using songs from all the albums (but not every song) in chronological order. The downside of this is that initiates with higher post counts may have to go through the same titles twice. :( It's too bad, but there is no way around it.

I think the new initiate ranks are a great idea, especially since the old list leaked out, and there were some pretty big gaps between some of the ranks. i think new star colors would be cool, too. when you fill all the yellow stars, then you work on red, then blue, then green, then purple, or something like that! There wouldn't be any need to add new stars.

I'm excited to know for which song I will change...hmmm...since I'm Daybreak it'll probably go to a song from Duty or something LOL:roflmao
