5 Years of Duty
 

Today is the fifth anniversary for the Duty album!!
So let's all share our Duty experiences/memories/favorite songs or least favorite/whatever you want about Duty!!
Duty for me was the first album released in my times as a fan, so it was really exciting! When I first saw the cover I couldn't believe it, it was so wonderful! And I fell in love instantly with the song Duty, it was my favorite song for a long time. And the day I downloaded SURREAL was the day that I had to leave to visit my grandparents for a week, and this was before mp3 players (at least, for me) so I did my best to memorize all of SURREAL that I could, and I spent the entire week singing "La laa la lai!"
My favorite songs would be Duty, SEASONS, Key ~eternal tie ver.~ (that song still makes me cry everytime), and girlish!!

I love Duty (though not my favorite)!! I like every song but I especially like SURREAL, AUDIENCE, teddy bear (because of personal experience), and girlish ^.^

OMG! YES! I just ordered Duty! now it's kinda like a birthday present purchase for the celebration of DUTY! i think it might come tommorrow. WHAT GREAT TIMING!!!

And scar is like the best song in the album to me :)

That's one good album.. my faves are: saesons, audience, far away, girlish, duty of course, and err.... teddy Bear, what a sad song

Don't forget everyone it's also the FOURTH YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF "Dearest"!!! My all time favorite song!

The songs sound so much older than 5 years. XD its my favorite album by far.

While it's not my favorite album, it most certainly is up there, and it does contain my favorite Ayu song: Girlish :D Yayay!

Duty was one of the last albums I heard from her. But I like every track in this album :)

wieee!!! a little late but my experiences with the Duty album is really great the kind of music in the album makes me happy out on the streets where I live. The music has a touch of both "ghetto-ish with happiness" mixed up and that makes me happy to go down the street and listen to ayu while talking with my "rough" friends ^^ hmmm memories.... well Duty made a big impression on me that I´ll never forget, that was the song I had on my mp3 while yelling at my friends ^^

I found out about Duty after listening to the song Vogue!! I really love the album, and yay!! I like Girlish and SEASONS!

Scar is also rather painful, the first time I listened to it...But wow. It's been so long since I bought the album.

omg, this album was one of her best... I love SEASONS, because that was the first Hamasaki Ayumi song I've ever heard... I also love teddy bear, End of the World, vogue, SURREAL, evolution, and Duty... this is one of the best CDs...

I love ALL the songs on DUTY! It was truly a great album! starting over (one of the coolest startings), DUTY (totally love the Gothic and Dark mood), SEASONS, Far away, vogue, AUDIENCE, SURREAL, teddy bear, Key ~eternal tie. ver~, SCAR, End of the World (THEY ARE SO UNDERRATED!) and of course Girlish! (All time favourite bonus ending track! This beats the hell out of flower garden and + (in RAINBOW)! Humming 7/4 is in a league of its own hehe!)

Yup, it's really a great album! Super duper great album I might add on! I am is still my all time favourite because it has good variation but DUTY, it's just so filled with emotion and blows you away! (Again, I think DUTY is one of the MOST underrated albums again sadly ...)

exactly, i listen to them and it sounds like its from around 10 to 20 years ago.. probably just the sound effects and style. The track Duty sounds so ancient.. I'm gonna celebrate later by listening to ATARASHIKU!!! And End Of the World!! :D

SURREAL is the way great!

Looks like I'm gonna have to whip out the old school Ayu. End of the world... Duty... Surreal... and dearest? 4 years? All so good!

I love Duty! My favourites are Surreal, Teddy bear, Duty, Scar and Girlish, but I love all the songs on the album.

I actually basically like all the tracks on this album! I have NO idea why I haven't bought it already! :cries:

I wouldn't consider girlish a bonus ending. It's listed on the track listing, and has it's own track number. Whereas flower garden and + aren't listed, and are on the same track the last song listed.

Still my favorite album by far! Along with Memorial Address, Duty is pretty much the only album I listen to when I want to hear some Ayu. Very strong from start to finish, with nothing but good songs and a large portion of personal favorites, among which the entirely brilliant Girlish. Excellent album!

Wow, 5 years? Really, that's it? Sometimes if feels like Ayu has been around for such a long time.

Anyway, Duty has the awesome "Girlish" song on it, and I just LOVE that song. "teddy bear" is good too.

'Duty' rocks. It's not my favorite, but definitely in my top 3 of Ayu's albums. Good songs and just a solid album all the way around.
