More than likely she hasn't a clue. When I was in Japan I saw a little girl wearing a red shirt that said "SEX" on it printed right across her shirt. And on another occaision, there was a 12-year-old who had a white bag that said "F---" all over it.

I think she has at least some idea of what they say. The times I've heard her speak English, she sounds pretty good. Also she seems to write in english very quickly and with ease, so I'd be really suprised if she was completely ignorant of what it says.

The guy in the picture has been brought up before. The stage was being built in that clip, thus Ayu wearing the hard hat. The guy I'm sure, was on staff to guide Ayu to where she needed to go, without getting hurt.

Even though the words to us are simple, the standard for English in Japan is pretty low, so I don't really think she knows what the words mean. Maybe she or the staff looked it up after she bought the tops but English words are really nothing more than a trend (just like how in America, Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters are a trend. It's just different from the culture)

As for that guy, it's not Nagase or Yoshio, it's a random staff guy. As you can see, he is walking her through the construction area so she doesn't wander and get hit (hence the hardhat).

I agree. I think Ayu knows what it means at least for the most part. I think she has a pretty good sense of humor. :) I know there are plenty of Japanese people that run around with english on their clothes that don't know the meaning of it. (I used to live in Japan after all^_^) But Ayu, from what I've seen, seems to have enough basic English knowledge to know what most of that stuff she has been seen wearing means.

Hmmm... I believe that she knows what the shirts say... how could she not? She already knows some English, don't you think she is curious to know what it says on her shirt? And even if she understands what the word is, it may have no meaning to her. Y'know when you first learn a language, you learn some of the swear words first? And you keep saying it, but you don't feel bad, because to you, it's not really a swear, but a different word... ^^;; That's what I think anyways.
