Beni Arashiro New Single Information!

6th Single - Title TBA at a later date.

Anime "Eye Shield 21" Ending Theme song!
Release date: December 7, 2005

I hope this single includes "Flash Flash," because I doubt that song is appropriate for an anime ending theme song. Therefore the title track of this single will probably be completely new! I'll post more here as I get more information on the single.

Beni's last single sold less than 5,000 copies even though it was the image song of her last campaign with Visée. Most artists would get dropped immediately with sales like that! If I could afford 100 copies, I'd do it, but I can only afford 1 copy of her singles... I just want her to do well! For some reason, I just really love her songs.
I agree some songs have been boring, but "Flash Flash" is really great! It's better than "Here Alone," I think! Very R&B style but better!

I think most of Aiko Kayo (my favorite avex artist <3)'s singles have sold less than 5k, too, and she's still going strong. She's got 8 singles out so far, and a PV collection. She's supposed to release a new single in January, too.

I think avex'll keep Beni around for a while.

That's good! I think Avex has hundreds of artists, so they can't all top the charts. I'm sure Beni brings in profits from her advertisements with Glico and Kosé, her radio show, and her work on the Japanese version of "Kim Possible" so her singles are just a small part of all the work she does!

Oooh...Beni! I've only heard a couple of songs by her on the radio that were pretty good, and I have her Hikari no Kazu Dake Glamorous PV. I can't wait to hear more by her.

According to the description at Yes Asia, it's going to be a pop tune that is easy to hum along with. The c/w is going to be a cover song. So no "Flash Flash"? Maybe on her next album it will be included.

I tried begging all my Japanese friends to buy "Flash Flash" for me on Japanese iTunes. I even offered to pay them $5 for the one song, even though they'd only have to pay just over $1! But no one would do it for me :(
Too bad... hopefully she releases an album soon and includes that song on it.

All of Beni's singles have had 2 b-sides so far, haven't they? 'Flash Flash' could still show up on the single.

Also, I just watched the Kose Visee commercial with the song in it, it's not too bad.

And usually one of the b-sides is a cover anyways, so you do have a good chance of "Flash Flash" being on there.

I hope this'll be good, I do want to like her material more as I like her voice.

Beni Arashiro must be one of Japan's most underrated artists. I love her "Beni" album. My favorite song is "Here Alone" and "Infinite". I think Avex should stop playing favortism and start doing more promotions for her and other underrated Avex artists.

"GOAL" sounds best, I think, but "WORK THAT BODY" sounds okay, too.

Hmm, I think that I like "WORK THAT BODY" the best.

I think "Work That Body" is the best, too. "Cherish" sounds alright, but "Goal" is kind of... weird to me! I always compare her with Crystal Kay because they are good friends, and it seems like Crystal Kay gets all the catchy songs, whereas Avex treats Beni as a sort of second class artist!

WORK THAT BODY is my favourite. Her English sounds really good.

She goes to an american school and is half american. So that's no surprise. Her english is perfect. =P

Mmm ... I'm not finding anything especially great with this single from Beni ... her songs sound generic in my opinion. However, Hikari no Kazu Dake Glamorous was excellent! It had truly unique composition in my opinion and I'm VERY surprised it only barely sold 5000 copies! That single could have done much better!

Again, I think I'll wait for the full version to decide how great this single is ... it just sounds nothing special for the moment.

Beni's second album is out 2/22. It'll come in CD+DVD and CD-only, and CD-only comes with two bonus tracks, one of them being "FLASH FLASH."

Also, the article gives out an early piece of information about her new album!
It is still untitled, but it will be released on February 22nd for 2800¥. Its number is AVCD-17879. She's only released 2 singles since her last album, so this album will surely be stuffed full of new songs!

I like her pose on the CD only, but I like the green of the CD+DVD! I can't decide which to get... such a great cover, though! Much better than her typical boring close-ups.

Well, it's more interesting than her usual covers, but the design looks so tacky and cheap.

I think that the covers are kind of cute. I'm going to order the CD-only version, hopefully along with her first album.

Hmm...I usually go for DVDs, but I like the red version more. Then again, I won't buy the album until I hear the whole thing, since HKDG and Cherish didn't exactly win me over. --;

It looks like Beni's been replaced as CM character for Visée. I have no idea who the new girl is.. she probably isn't a singer because her song isn't playing in the background.

I think Beni left on her own terms rather than being asked to leave by Kosé. If you keep up with Beni's blog, you see that she's been doing A LOT lately with her other endorsements (the lingerie... hah) and her recent show in China. She's also starring in a musical coming up!

She has a lot going on! Her website also put up a sample song from the new album... I don't like the sample much.

I preordered the CD from Yesasia... so if no one else posts it before I get the CD, I'll post it. It's really important for us all to purchase this one, though! Beni's not as popular (though avex is promoting this album more), so she needs the sales for them to invest more into writing her good songs.

Well, I better go order my copy! Support Beni! :D

I'm interested in ordering it too :) But I prefer to listen to it first and see if it's worth getting. So far I only heard Cherish which I like...

I'm going to have to wait to buy the album this weekend, but I shall buy! :D

She made a video comment on the new Avex Sound&Motion newsletter, so maybe it's on the avex site somewhere too.. or Beni's official site.

She just talks a bit about the album and sample like 3 songs (only 2 new ones and then Flash Flash). I'm excited to hear it, even though it says she tries rapping for the first time in one of her songs... lol yikes!
It sounds like a feel good album, though. Nothing too heavy or serious.. just more fun than anything else.

I just heard Hikaru no kazu dake Glamorous. Not bad...but Cherish is still my favourite Beni song so far :)

Also, I got a message from Beni on myspace yesterday. I had sent her a message a long time ago and she said that she's been really busy with the musical she's starring in, but she's grateful to everyone who's checked out her CDs.

It probably won't be for a little while yet, since she just released her album a few weeks ago. After her last album, she waited almost 4 months before she released "Hikari no Kazu dake Glamorous." The wait was even longer (6 months!) between "Hikari no kazudake glamorous" and "Cherish" so so it's possible we don't have another single until late spring or summer.

I really like her latest album, especially the opening songs like THE POWER, etc. I probably won't buy this album just yet though...probably more around the end of the year.

I was just watching Disney Channel, and I saw a cover of the Kim Possible Theme Song done by Beni herself... I was pretty shocked to see it. =O

It's saying that on the 8th, the 23rd issue of the weekly publication Big Comic Spirits goes on sale and she's in it.

I searched on their site for some information about what would be in it about her, and I couldn't find anything. =( Such a lack of publicity lately, it's sad! Maybe she's focusing on her studies.

If anyone finds anything else out, please keep us updated!

Beni has her new BeniTV show where she teaches English phrases and stuff. There were lots of articles about it in Japanese papers a few weeks ago. You can watch a small clip on Youtube I think.

Beni has just released a photo book called "THINK BODY." It's only 987 yen, but it looks like it's only sold at Circle K stores in Japan. Therefore it'll probably be pretty hard for us to get it overseas.

yeah i seen the beni arashiro version on Disney Channel it was love lol. I was actually speaking to her not long ago. But the album is going to be different and she cant wait there has been so much going on right now. but "How Are You?" hopefully will do good because the only thing keeping her on Avex Trax is her televison career everything has been so tense as of late i know why... and it is sad theres not enough money to promote everyone.. Kuus tour about to start up and Ayu's.. I know Beni wants to tour but she probally wont sell out stadiums or halls or whatever
