My Story Released Yesterday.

I don't know if it's just me but all these new releasing from Ayumi is killing me. I mean look back My Story was released in 2004 and that is a long time. But it seems like she only released yesterday, I mean like the songs are still in rotation on your playlist, and you watch the dvd alot. Maybe it just me but do u ever get the feelings like My Story is Brand new??

[AHS]MortalSex 8th November 2005 06:36 PM

^lol true :P I even have songs from her since poker face ^^

Baernash 8th November 2005 06:43 PM

I'm listening over and over songs starting from her first albums and all those songs aren't for me boring in spite I heard them so many times. It's exactly the feeling like all those albums - not only MY STORY - was released week.. month ago :)

ImpactBreaker 8th November 2005 06:49 PM

well maybe that's because it is an excellent album ;)

Corybobory 8th November 2005 10:02 PM

I like the fact she releases so much stuff, it keeps me excited. It kills me to wait years for my favourite artists to release their next album!

*Petit* 8th November 2005 10:07 PM

I just hope she releases more "evenly" next year... Not one single for 6 months then one per month... :irked

Jennie Mae 8th November 2005 10:33 PM

MY STORY feels like it was a while off, but not too far. It hasn't even been out for a year yet, give it time.

Qt Mashi 8th November 2005 11:22 PM

wow your right!! it seems MY STORY is still quite new! wow time flies whithout even knowing :D

wAtSuPmE2 9th November 2005 12:22 AM

Omg so true it relli doesnt seem it has been one yr, god this yr sure went by quick... MY STORY is proly the album i listen the most now

Annabelle 9th November 2005 01:14 AM

I even think MA is new from a few months and that MY STORY just got released. Time goes by quickly don't you think? I still live in 2004 :rolleyes I listen a lot to MY STORY and I'm not even used to the songs, they feel brand new. Same thing for Memorial Address, I still remember the hype around the ANGEL'S SONG and BoY Panasonic CMs just like it was yesterday :laugh

Mad_Cactuar 9th November 2005 01:19 AM

I just stopped listening to it last week, ever since I bought the new album from The Corrs.. Hard to believe its so new, only a year old!

That's because it is still new. :) 1 year really isn't all that long.

fantaisie.sign 9th November 2005 02:41 AM

I still haven't learned the words to the MY STORY songs yet. :P It's amazing how quickly a year flies by. . .

Ayumi no Yume 9th November 2005 04:20 AM

It's been a year? Holy crap and a half.
I bought it like...at the beginning of this year...so..it hasn't been AS long of a wait for me...(I think..:think)
and CACTUAR! Have you realized we've been at this forum for nearly a half of year? :yes
we joined around the same time, too :laugh

alternarist 9th November 2005 07:59 PM

or perhaps it sounds new to some of you because the new songs this year.... sucks????? oops!

Raleigh 9th November 2005 08:43 PM

I still remember the excitement of MY STORY in this forum. And then how everyone was dowloading songs off Avex's site :P It was really fun indeed to be honest overall. I hope the same excitement still shall run around on December and January for the next album.

greggerz189 10th November 2005 01:22 AM

Absolutely. I totally agree!!! I'm remembering like it was just the other day that I got INSPIRE c/w GAME in the mail! XD

Absolutely! People made the HUGEST stink over Humming 7/4!!! XD Both times (with Humming 7/4 and this time with Bold&Delicious) I've loved them SO MUCH, they've got to be two of my favorite songs of Ayu's -- yet so many people detest them...????:shakehead

hopeorpain 13th November 2005 12:40 AM

I think listening to MY STORY right now will reduce anticipation for her new album. Just an advice if you really can't wait for the new album^^''

BanFan 13th November 2005 12:58 AM

I prefer when artists take their time.

More time usually means more thought into the album. >_>

Oh man I remember how everyone was complaining :rolleyes. Most probably history will repeat itself this year.

Or not....Hitomi Yaida's latest album took so much time to be released.....and sucked, unfortunately :( i was really hoping it would rock since i really enjoyed most of the singles, but I guess the long gap made me grow tired of them and the album tracks just didn't really do it.

And hopefully the new album will enhance my new years also...but I have lower expectations this time (the singles weren't as good as the ones in MY STORY). :no Hopefully I'm wrong:yes

I actually feel the opposite. I think the singles were more powerful than last year. Especially HEAVEN and STEP you.

Yes I liked the variety in this year's releases. I do hope they will grow on you when you get the album then :) Myself I do hope to get to love this year more.

BnD is growing on me this week ^^ Let's all hope for a great album

I've been listening to MY STORY daily this weekend...and I find that it's still very new to me, like I still need to learn the lyrics...but I love it nonethless!
Songs that I haven't listened to very much:
-my name's woman
-moments
-walking proud
-honey
-winding road (I practically don't know this song haha)
-humming 7/4

I really do hope it will be an excellent album myself. I'm also a bit unfamiliar with a few tracks like Replace, Liar and winding road. I am kind of partial for MY STORY simply because it's my first album I ever bought of Hamasaki.

I forgot Replace, I started loving after watching the tour dvd.
Well MY STORY is a great buy to begin with, but I also recommend LOVEppears and Memorial Address. Come to think of it, Memorial Address really seems far away from now...jsut the overall feeling of the album.

I am waiting for my DVD myself :headache I ordered it from Yesasia but it didn't come yet. In fact I emailed them yesterday to ask them what happened since I did not get my order.

Yes MY STORY is actually pretty good to begin with. I only think it lacks that spark which makes it a classic. I'm actually thinking of getting Duty next but only after this album since I preordered it.

You'll get the DVD eventually. I remember mine got shipped to the wrong place so there was a big hassle over that, but I did get it enventually:yes
MY STORY is very entertaining indeed..but I agree that it's not a classic. Duty has a lot of touching songs which I really love.

I really do hope so since I've go a limited edition single and it's already out of stock on YesAsia :) And I'm also dying to see Arena Tour 2005. I heard a lot of positive feedback about it and watched a couple of clips.

Yeah MY STORY needed a couple of songs which were more personal. Sort of more able to touch a person. I don't know how to explain it. But it did lack that part that Duty/Loveppears and I Am.. had. Let's hope this album shall have it.

Yes I agree with you. Those three are definately very strong tracks. I would add Will to it too :) It's very expressive.
