Ayu's eye surgery (and more?)?
 

Hey guys and gals,

I was browsing various forums and in my searches on another website I found a very large topic about Ayumi having cosmetic surgery. Now this isn't a big deal the eye sergery is something thousands of asians have to decrease creases in their eyes however later in the post I found this:

It's not a big thing though. I just wanted to say, "look guys, you can put the debate to rest as it's kind of common knowlage in Japan" I see so many things tossed about in this froum based on rumor, wild guesses, or mis-translated statements. I thought I'd just set the record stright. I'm not debating that it's "good" or "bad". I just wanted to enlighten some who didn't know. </quote>

We also have this: several pictures comparing very old pictures with very new pictures, In these pictures she looks the exact same which makes me believe she hasn't had any of the surgery listed in the fellows post from above.

Now what im wondering is if anyone here can varify this information as fact or fiction, personally I believe she has had eye surgery however some of the stuff doesn't look like it has been modified at all if you compare pictures from her childhood and recent 2005 pictures. Either way I still <3 Ayumi no matter what, i'm just looking to get some questions to be clarified. Now the reason im posting here is because this is a more active website and that post quickly died after the fellow posted the "facts" about the doctor.

Nobody can verify it as fact or fiction because nobody knows. It's just all speculation. I understand your curiosity. It's interesting to think about. I'd personally suggest against trying to start a discussion over it here, because people are going to tend to debate over it. It's really unlikely that it'll be a mature debate, and I just wouldn't want for you to start off here at AHS with people flaming you, heh.

ive noticed that a lot of asians have unaligned eyes...one higher than the other...Utada,Ayu etc. ive always wondered why....

You know most people have one eye higher (or lower I guess) than the other. If you take a picture of yourself turn it upside down and it'll be much apparent. It's actually a little disturbing the first time you notice, haha.

Where does it say that doctor worked on Ayu? I don't think any of those sites state that Ayumi Hamasaki had plastic surgery, rather that some of the people getting cosmetic surgery are emulating some of her features. If I am wrong correct me.

I think she just grew up.....and with the combo of awsome make-up artists, her eyes are so awsome now :)

All that I see is that Ayu's face is made up with like $1000 worth of makeup, more than before xD lol [which was like nothing way back when..]

I just think that if she had surgery, it'd have come out already in the 7 years that she has been in the business. But then again, almost everyone in Japan says she has had it.. but.. do they know? Or do they assume based on her huge eyes? :\

If it's so common, there's a high chance that they assumed it was done.

I think, if anything, she got her teeth worked on. =\ Maybe not necessarily anything else, but definitely her teeth.

I think so too.
She has always had a double eyelid (caucasion-like)
As she does now.
Her cheeks seem to have changed, but in my family and many others' it's just maturing.
From pictures then and now, i always thought she might've been half-white or something...but i seriously doubt that now.
She's just some of the luckier people :yes
But i really do believe most of the changed is just the awesome make-up artist she has. Very talented people :yes

Yup, her teeth wouldnt miraculously repair themselves would they? the face however I think is enhanced by make up and age. :yes

Yeah, I agree that her teeth may be changed so as to make them straight. If not braces, they may have been implanted.

no one relli knows if Ayu has had surgery, it's just rumours, and this rumour is easily believed by everyone since Ayu is soo pretty, people would think "ohh~ wonder why Ayu is so pretty because she got plastic"

Ya, even ayu does. who care ??!! Her music her lyrics are still awesome!! This is a fact that undeniable !!!!

By the way, will you simply hate someone just because he/she had a plastic surgery ?? Then i am sure those " the Swan" , "make over" kind of tv programme would not exist now.

The tip of her nose seems a bit different, and her teeth definitely xD I mean, if you were on 10312301 magazines, would you want crooked teeth?

Once again I don't see any indication from the site that the picture has anything to do with Ayumi Hamasaki. It's just a list of the procedures that clinic does.

About teeth.. probably she did braces or something of that sort. Eye surgery? Nah. Her eyes were always big.

I see it as if Ayu had i done then she did it for herself! And good for her... just because we think she's beautiful alot of people have downs about themselves... just look at 'The Swan' great show though

I can show you dozens of pictures of myself, and compared them to pictures of me being a child/younger and you can see my eyes looking wide, in between, or very thin.. it's all in how i looked in the picture (if I was more awake, or more happy.. they looked bigger) and how I wore makeup if any at all it would change it too. Also, some pictures I opened my eyes wider in, others, I just didn't at all.. and then when I smile my eyes seemed much thinner..
really.. this Ayu eye surgery stuff is getting a little old.. no one really knows if she did or didn't, but frankly people shouldn't care too much..
and yes.. Ayu did have something done to her teeth.. but it's just her teeth for goodness sake at least she didnt go get a boob job to get size H boobs put on her!

Really Ayu has some surgery!? Surprised me! I didn't know that, for me is a bad notice :( I like Ayu as a pretty woman but if she is pretty by surgery... hmm not so good... Anyway, being pretty is not a big merit, is the way she born...hehe. I know she care of her body, that is nice.

ayu's chin did change alot..:yes :yes but probably thats just maturing? the jaw bone grows lol.. and at most i think she went for liposuction at the cheeks.. haha:cool

You can't really believe in those "doctor". Who knows? Maybe they are just making up stories for money. All I know is that, if she did surgery, it's not dramatic.

Other than make-up her face looks the same in these photos. No Surgery. The enhanced double-eyelid thing can be done with make-up as mentioned in that other thread about the glued eyes.

That's true, makeup can make miracles LOL!! Really it is true. But I also think Ayu only has changed with the years. All we do it! Don't you?

who wouldn't wanna get their crooked teether fixed? that's not really surgery... I had braces :D most people don't have straight teethe anyways, and alot get it fixed... you can have braces on the backs of your etteth.. or do invisible braces now

yupp, I had braces myself and I wouldnt have mind getting it fixed right away instead of wearing that uncomfy thing for so long.

I still believe that she has never had plastic surgery - if she has, it was to her eyes, but even that I'm pretty sure she didn't do. I don't see any evidence of plastic surgery elsewhere on her face. As you stated with those pictures, if you watch the movies and dramas she was in as a child, I really don't see any differences. The only differences being that she has lost some of her babyfat since then and she now has professionally applied makeup and lighting.

Where is your proof that it's real? And what are the obvious changes that you see in her face? And uh, even I can breath through my nose without it moving, so I don't understand your point there.

I think she only did the eye surgery... no one more!
She was 16 ~ 17 years old in the older pics, now she is 27 years old. Time can change the people, Ayu simply grow up!

Japanese wants to have big eyes like occidental ppl. Lots of them. I think Ayu too, really she has big eyes...

Oh yar, and there's such a thing called sunken double eyelids. That means that your second eyelid is sunken in but you do have one. However, if you manage to open your eyes wide enough (which doesn't even require your eyes to open to its max), yup, you can see them!

I have friends who have these sunken double eyelids and well, you can see them when they are like opening their eyes normally. It's only when they get tired and stuff then you can't see them.

i seriously just think its her MAKE-UP...

do you guys seriously think that she puts make-up on like a normal person? NO...just like every other celebrity in the business, they're literally "painted."

just like in America, i saw this documentary once on make-up...and the people are crazy about it, how else would people like Kim Catterell and Madonna still look even slightly pretty...

besides the make-up is so thick, and also, her hair style can make a huge difference on how the shape of her face is portrayed, some styles could make it seem longer than others

I really believe that Ayu is just a "normal" person who is talented...she has a lot of features, that in the fashion world are flaws : she's short, she dropped out of school, her eye is bigger than the other, she didn't grow up in a traditional family, i think that her army of make-up/hair people are trying to cover all that up, trying to make her perfect.

Um.. i think she's done surgery for her eyes even though sometimes it is really not that noticable. The most noticable I've ever seen was on the Rainbow PV, like the parts with her singing to the song (not the twins parts). You can tell if one has done surgery for their eyes is when one they close their eyes, it should have this scar kinda thing. I think the rest are just her makeup. And the face part, how it changed, it's totally her hairstyle, plus she's lost so much weight compare to when she was younger, so wouldn't you think the shape of her face changes..? I think Ayu herself is quite real, although many say that she is fake.

I have this friend that totally hates Ayumi and she has never ever listened to any of Ayu's music. All she's heard was Ayu's talking voice and she hates it. So one time, my friends started talking about ayu (they don't really know i'm a huge fan of her) and THAT friend kept saying Ayu was a living plastic doll and that she's fake and how she sucks because her voice (talking voice I suppose) sounds like crap.

I really don't think she is a living plastic doll because like if she's done a LOT of plastic surgeries, don't you think it would kinda "show" after SO many years? No offence to BoA fans, but we all know BoA has done lots on her face and it is starting to show right now, many parts of her face are really "fake" compare to when she was younger.

Yeah, I have definitely noticed with BoA - I've never really noticed with Ayu.

Also, when is Ayu having the time to do all this tons plastic surgery? She is always touring, recording, doing photo shoots etc., she has had absolutely no adequate time for recovery from any kind of surgery in the past 5 years.

Yeah I agree!~ I think AYU didn't have surgery I have tons of Japanese friends and I never heard of them saying AYU having a surgery even though I hear them talk about Brittney Spears have plastic surgery LOL <^_^>

i am one of few who never believe hamasaki had ever done eye surgery,
looking at her older photos and comparing them with the newer ones, i believe she had never had an eye surgery, her eyes look the same to me now n then

no matter, i wouldn't mind if she had, i love her for what she is...

lol i noticed that one of ayu's eyes seem noticibly smaller dan the other( i no its not a word) she always seems to put lots of eyeliner and mascara on teh other slightly bigger eye... though she had no make up in it, the eye size difference seem to me the very obvious in the love destiny pv.

Actually, I dont think BoA has done ne surgery .. i personally dont like boa or her music but i think the reason her face is starting to become all.... holey is because of makeup use from an early age. The girl has been putting on tons of makeup since 13! for the sake of god its gotta show sometime!
