my friend told me that she's wearing UGG boots only because ayu and other japanese artists are wearing them too. wtf. i don't believe it. please tell me if this is true or not.

Ugg boots are awesome 'cause you rub them up one way and they look all fuzzy and dirty, and then you rub them another and they look nice & clean. o_o

omg, those boots are everywhere here. they're ok sometimes, but you've really got to have the outfit for them. but whats funny is that typically back in the warmer months i saw girls wearing short shorts and those boots...its funny. i wouldn't be surprised if ayu wore them though.

I think UGG's are hot if paired with the right outfit.. usually a skirt or showy jeans. They don't look right with just "jeans and a t-shirt"

it really depends on who's wearing them and when...
even though they are apparently intended for use when it is cold, these boots have the tendency to get dirty really fast.
additionally, alotta girls seem to have problems walking in them (dunno the reason), but everytime I see a girl walking around in those boots, they sorta walk on the outside of their shoe (that is the leather) instead of the sole
and that looks rather strange... X_x

Yeah... Or when people get the bright blue Uggs and they don't match the outfit at all... Ithink it probably has a lot to do with just the clothes people wear with the boots :/ As much as I hate to say it, they do look a little comfy.

I never got me a pair... I did think they were ugly... but I guess if I had money I could find an outfit that would look cute with them :yes But alas... I'm not gonna waste that just to find an outfit for one pair of shoes

Yarumi, those boots are still popular in my side of the country ~_~ disgusting really. No offense to anyone who might be the chunky side in this thread, but bigger people really don't look attractive in those shoes. Actually, they were originally intended to be used inside the house. No wonder they get dirty so quickly, it's like going out wearing slippers, that sort of thing. Plus, when it's actually snowing, your feet are supposedly frozen in no time.

Ugh, I think UGGS are incredibly ugly and (industry-wise) it's now generally considered one of the worst trends in the past year. Yes, they are so over but many celebrities in America are still wearing them to milk the trend a little longer. There are a lot of UGG lookalikes now, especially since we're in the winter months.

Japan has a tendancy to take trends from America and then retain them for much longer than we do. I think that Japan catches onto American and Euro trends pretty quickly since they get daily news coverage of the Hollywood elite but it probably takes a little longer for the stores to stock the trendy clothes.
