HMV proally has copies in it's store, because isn't it located in China or something? I'm sure they would have copies before YesAsia.

AyuGAME 9th January 2006 05:01 PM

the price isn't that cheap anymore

Annabelle 9th January 2006 05:01 PM

The CD+DVD edition is too pricey. I'll wait for OS ver :P

micster 9th January 2006 05:03 PM

are your conversions working? It seems exacly like My Story overseas

CD is £10
CD+DVD is £17

soo

Raleigh 9th January 2006 05:05 PM

Hmm.. I see. Well there should be an OS Version coming out soon anyhow.

Annabelle 9th January 2006 05:05 PM

CD only is 25.60$ CDN and CD+DVD is 34.96$ CDN. It's not that cheap to me.

MY STORY Korean Version: http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept...section-music/

12'99$ MY STORY Korean Version Vs. 19.99$ of (miss)understood Korean version...

And almost 30$ for CD+DVD... that's NOT cheap. I've paid 22$ (s&h included!) for my OS (miss)understood CD+DVD on eBay... And it was shipped on 6th January, while this is a pre-order until 19th... ;)

micster 9th January 2006 05:29 PM

^And i care why? Tis my money =P

Qt Mashi 9th January 2006 05:31 PM

wat's difference between overseas ver and korean ver?

micster 9th January 2006 05:41 PM

overseas is from china/hong kong
korean is from korea

i guess

but then whats the difference between overseas and hongkong version o.o

fantaisie.sign 9th January 2006 06:39 PM

I'm wondering why the Korean version is so expensive all of a sudden. Usually Korean versions of regular CDs are $12-$14 (USD), not $27 (USD). Either Avex suddenly rose the price or YesAsia is ripping people off.

I'm still waiting for the Overseas version.

Brittany 9th January 2006 07:37 PM

^I think YesAsia wants more money.
The Korean ver. isn't worthy of my money. I'll be waiting for the OS version.

_Zora_ 9th January 2006 08:24 PM

the korean one is a son may cd. FAKE.

From wiki-
Quote:

SM Entertainment is the main producer of Korean pop music, and is the management agency of several Korean pop stars. The company is named after its CEO, Soo-Mahn Lee
official site with ayu advert- http://www.smtown.com/
http://www.smtown.com/main_images/hamasaki_banner.gif

and record company profile-
Quote:

S.M. Entertainment Co., Ltd. is a independent South Korean record label founded in 1995. They primarily release local dance/pop artists, but also license foreign releases for the Asian market.
From a BoA forum, another Avex artist-
Quote:

SM Entertainment is the Korean music company that produces BoA's stuff.
Avex Trax is the Japanese music company that produces BoA's stuff.

Both are official.
Get your facts right first :rolleyes

_Zora_ 9th January 2006 09:32 PM

ahh interesting. i thought SM referred to Son May, they also use the SM logo.

micster 9th January 2006 09:36 PM

yah, which is why you should always be careful when buying, and do research

orangeland 9th January 2006 09:56 PM

yesasia is slightly ripping you off. check out annyoung.com:

CD+Photobook Ver.
CD+Photobook+DVD Ver.

also notice that they call the album "Misunderstanding". pfft x]
and annyoung is releasing it 3 days ahead of yesasia (1/16 instead of 1/19)

remember that japanese music is always going to be slightly expensive, regardless of where it's released (as opposed to other genres of music released in the same country).

and the CD only ver. might be a little more expensive this time b/c of its photobook inclusion.

tl1029530921 9th January 2006 10:19 PM

my friend uses annyeong sometimes..she says its reliable :].

orangeland 9th January 2006 10:35 PM

^ tl1029530921's friend is probably right. that store has been around for QUITE A WHILE...so i would assume so. :D

btw, just to give you guys an idea of how much YESASIA (not avex) is ripping you off:

from shopping @ bugs.co.kr

CD+DVD+Photobook // 20,800 won (~$21.18 USD)
CD+Photobook // 16,300 won(~$16.60 USD)

so yeah, around $9 USD for the CD+DVD and $3 USD for the CD

plus, korea is offering gifts (bromides?).

CD+DVD+Photobook+Gift // 22,300 won (~$22.71 USD)
CD+Photobook+Gift // 17,800 won (~$18.12 USD)

so even w/ the gifts, they're STILL cheaper than yesasia's editions w/o gifts. T__T.
credits to XE.com for currency conversions.
---------------
also, to clear things up from ^ there, SM TOWN functions as both a record label & distributing company. it's like Avex Asia - i'm not sure if Avex Asia is a record label in itself, but it distributes for other companies besides avex, including Toy's Factory.

evolution105 9th January 2006 10:43 PM

lucky for you guys! if only i had known...

Me too. D: I'm upset because the Korean versions used to be really cheap.

lotusoka 10th January 2006 01:01 AM

Maybe they are more expensive because of the photobooks. :shrug

AyuGAME 10th January 2006 02:19 AM

somebody can tell me about the quality of korean version?

Ayumi no Yume 10th January 2006 02:46 AM

:innocent :mischief

That's why I only use realiable eBay sellers.:yes

Ayumi no Yume 10th January 2006 03:16 AM

^Ya know, though..
More than HALF of the Japanese CDs/Ayu CDs/Japanese DVDs/etc.
are bootlegs. But, you do say RELIABLE...That's a point...
But i almost bought from a dude with great, positive, and TONS of feedback, and i looked closely, it was infact a bootleg :yes
Keep an eye out ;)

I just came across a site that sells CDs for SUPER cheap...I'm going to make a thread on that and mention it..

lovia 10th January 2006 03:23 AM

oooo....

Princess_Of_Roses 10th January 2006 03:32 AM

Do the korean versions have both photobooks in the cd and cd+dvd...o-o like both photobooks come together...the description i think says so

ebay has rippe me off for a LONG time~ i always thought ebay would be cheaper so i didnt bother checking the prices on Yesasia, all the Ayu CD's i bought on ebay so far are more expensive than yesasia :(

sometimes ebay is also a risk! depending on who your buying from~ ebay is very messy~

i just bought something from ebay because yesasia didnt have it and i think i overpaid the seller, i think i accidently paid twice... :headache i'm still new to ebay~

Ayumi no Yume 10th January 2006 04:23 AM

^ O_O...
Ebay is evil.

And YesAsia wouldn't be selling Bootlegs, ya know.

I have used Annyoung.com ONCE, and after you buy something, they don't bother to send an e-mail to you confirming the order. If you want to change something in your order or cancel it, you must go to the message board on the site to tell them.

:rolleyes

What 'customer service.'

bondingo 10th January 2006 09:02 PM

(miss)understood Overseas and Korean versions now on Yesasia

It's finally available today, and for a cheaper price than the Korean Versions:

CD Only ($18.25):
http://us.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.asp...id-1004104657/

CD+DVD ($23.99):
http://us.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.asp...id-1004104656/

I just ordered the CD+DVD! And the photobooks are included.

EDIT: Feel free to delete this mods, I now realize that there is a preordering thread about this version. Sorry ^_^

pbs1605 11th January 2006 08:06 AM

Besides being made in different countries, what is the real differnece between Japanese,Korean ond O/S?

pbs1605 11th January 2006 08:15 AM

thank you micster.I think i will get the O/s version.

starr5245 11th January 2006 11:42 AM

ahahaa!! The OS version is much more worth the price than the Korean version.

Baernash 11th January 2006 02:19 PM

Hahaha - even OS version is cheaper than korean. At all differences with price of JPN and OS versions r very small so buying of any OS is marginal.

Eigakan 12th January 2006 07:56 AM

Yeasia is a greedy online shop, just look at HMV HK, they're selling the albums for around 12 to 15 dollars

Not that I don't use ebay, but that's really not helping support your favorite artists. If it's someone that I really love, such as Ayu, the only things I get through ebay are concert goods and stuff that is out of print. Otherwise, CDs and stuff I get from either CDJapan or Yesasia so that Ayu is receiving my support, not the pocket of some ebay seller. :)

Raleigh 12th January 2006 10:32 AM

True that Yesasia's prices are higher but if you order from CDJapan remember the high shipping prices.

makie_7 13th January 2006 12:53 AM

I've gone to yesasia to buy the os version of the cd too and sais is no longer for sale!!

LacusClyne 13th January 2006 01:33 AM

does that mean the oversea version only have one version? coz i really wanted the cd plus photobook too. i already ordered my cd plus dvd japan version~~~ i ordered just in case the oersea version won't have the photobook, but now..... * sob sob sob*
