Any things that makes you dislike a song?
 

I mean... I cant think of any good examples now, but i discovered when Ayu sings "it's a beautiful day" she sounds like an indian when she pronounces 'beautiful', and now it really bugs me when i hear the song. So do you have any of those kind of small things with her songs that really annoy you?

Oh, same with Bold&Delicious... The Yayagagadada part...I would like the song so much more if they removed it,hehe!

the "Rap" in her songs... that is bothers to me.. i hate "Nothing for Nothing"

I used to dislike her aAaAaAaAaAaAaAa~s... :P
Now i don't hate that anymore, but i like to make fun of it when i sing ayu songs...

The reverse hi-hat sound used extensively in Evolution drove me crazy and made the song unlistenable for me. Still can't listen to it.

Sometimes the "la la la" and "whoa whoa" parts in certain songs are annoying like Independent+ , July 1st, Is This Love?...it sounds so screechy and painful.
Also, i have a hard time understanding whenever she sings in English.

i like her engrish. i dont see how people cant understand Real Me....i understood it all at the first listen....and i love the lalalas and the woah woah woah yeas. theres nothing in her music that make me dislike a song. i like them all so much!

I really don't like the music for kanariya, it doesn't fit the song at all.
And I had a friend who didn't understand why "there's a dog barking during End roll."

its like she can't find enough words to fit in so she replaces them with just meaningless phrases.

I think she's famous for the "la la la's." It gives creativity to some of her songs.. and emotion too.

I'm not much of a fan of Bold & Delicious .. ugh. I respect her for trying new things though. It sounds like she and a choir of very high pitched voice people did the ya ya ga .. whatever part.

Nothing really comes to my mind immediately, other than maybe when her voice becomes REALLY screechey. Like in monochrome during the chorus...I still can't listen to it with headphones on. :no

yet for some reason i like bold and delicious.. probably because my 8 month old son practically drools over Ayu when he's watching the video.. and it's so easy to do "Varri!! is delicious!!" instead of "Boooold and delicious!!".. ^_^;; he loves it..

Sometimes her aAaAaAaAAAaaaa's still get on my nerves. It's nice to have a strong vibrato, but not THAT strong!

Hmm, I actually like the "yeah"s in a few of her songs...Nobody else does it like her I guess.

I don't like it when Ayu repeats phrases a lot....sounds too redundant heh (EVERYBODY GO! EVERYBODY JUMP! or It's a Beautiful Day! et. al.) Also...like others have said, the "lalala" and "wowowo" stuff is too overused at times; I think some western artists also use those phrases and it's kind of weird to have these randomly sprinkled throughout songs which would otherwise be *great* songs.

Other than that, I don't think anything else really annoys me in Ayu's songs...^^;

When she tries to sound "cute" by making her voice go all nasally. It sounds very awkward and makes the song uncomfortable to listen to. (eg. Honey)
Also when the beats are very cheesy (eg. We Wish) or when theyre too generic (eg. Most songs from missunderstood)

only music or PV can make me dislike any song, nothing more
maybe lyrics too

Usually generic pop music, there seems too much of that lately. Random parts in the song that makes no sense, and screeching choir-sounds like in B&D.

What hiro said about the cute voice thing. It sounds so frickin' bad :x

for me its the "iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" in some songs. UNITE! is one of the worst for that, she goes so high pitched in that song that i usually skip it cause otherwise i have to turn down my volume because it hurts my ears.

i'm not a big fan of her "cute" voice like in HONEY either. its just too cutesy and poppy for me.

all the "lalala" and stuff like that though...i love it!!!!

For me, in SURREAL, there's this annoying sound that does not go with the rhythm of the song.

And in End Roll, it sounds like a frog croaking in the song.

That's all I can think of right now.

Not really anything I dislike in Ayu songs. But I enjoy the random 'lalalalalas" she has, makes a song fun.

I don't have a reason to hate a song...is just a matter of love and hate..

I just hate the general use of English in a Japanese song. Didn't masa say something like "Why would Hamasaki who can write lyrics in her own langauge, beautifully, write lyrics in English at that are at high school level?" :[ She needs to stop this English-nonsense.

only her PV or her live performance of a song could make it or break it. I have no trouble with anything else whatsoever.

I have never really liket it... I think it's the music, and I think it's too screemy...

The BOOLD & DELICIOUS screaming pretty much ruins the song for me.

i like most Ayu songs.. but what i dont like about some of her songs are that.. they are very noisy.. a lot of guitar.. and she was merely screaming in that song. other than that, it could be that i dislike the tune and it is not catchy to me. thats why i dislike an Ayu song. i like Bold & Delicious. i feel that without the choir, the song will be... -___- dont know how to describe it..

I don't exactly hate it, but the 'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE' sound she makes in certain songs just gives me goosebumps.

yeah...if that was more subdued, more quiet, more melodic...SOMETHING...it would help that song A LOT.

...sometimes the overly aAaAaAaAaAaAaAaA vibratos bothers me (who...~across the universe ver.~, I'm looking at you). Her somewhat of a cutesy Honey voice doesn't really click. Ayu and "honey" cuteness doesn't click together. It was okay in Fairyland and Angel's Song, but Honey kinda overdone it...

The BOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDD&DELIIIIIIIIIIICIOUUUUUUUU UUUUS scares me sometimes when it's the first song when it comes to mp3 shuffling.

i think people who hates lalala must come from europe or u.s.

i come from asia, it's asian feature that ayu's songs have many lalalas. don't you know?

there are always someone who think themselves to be smart and do stupid critics on ayu's lyrics!

because ayu's such a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig singer, there will always be some people waiting there to say that ayu's done something wrong, even ayu's done it perfectly.

i do understand why ayu has to make an album called (miss)understood! because there are so many people missunderstanding ayu!

people who think ayu's choruses sometimes repeat too much.

don't you know? take theme of a-nation and + for example, it's obvious that both of the songs are carnival songs, they are sung during parties or carnivals,
so it deserved to be sung on and on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


and J-pop has its own forms, every chorus must be repeated times -- because it's its form!

ayu's songs want to express her feeling, unlike some other singers who only know to sing "i love you " in there songs, ayu is cool to think her life philosophy, and express her views. we can imagine ayu sadly or happily standing alone singing in her own way.
