[2006] Do yu like Hitomi Shimatani? Why?
 

i have to say, "Yes i absolutely love her!"
reasons: her voice is beautiful and crisp,her music is very unique, she sings exotic songs well *Falco, ~mermaid~, Mona Lisa*, and shes very pretty. I dont know much abotu her personality so i cant use that for a reason.

I like her.I think she has a very lovely and refreshing voice. Her voice gives her songs this nice little kick.

I kinda like her...she has a relatively good voice, but most of her songs are really synthetic and she doesn't sell very well anymore. I was pleased with Mahiru no Tsuki, but that single tanked...the only songs of hers that I listen to every now and then are Garnet Moon, ANGELUS, PERSEUS, and Mahiru no Tsuki. Garnet Moon, ANGELUS, and PERSEUS were really good dance songs -- I especially enjoyed the Latin feel of ANGELUS. Mahiru no Tsuki was a wonderful ballad -- I loved that it was orchestrated.

She has a fresh personality, look, and voice. Her songs are very unique.

Yes I really like Shimatani. Her glorious vocals and her beautiful personality are enough to make me love her. Plus her songs sound so ethnic and experimental.

Yes I like her. Her Pvs are always so glamorous to look at, and she has an angelic voice.

I love her! Her voice is AMAZING and her songs are just so... powerful to me. They induce very different emotions which I love. My favorite album of hers is definitely Heart & Symphony. It's so great!

I really like her, generally. However, I wish she would get better songs. =\ Some of them are golden, like a lot of the ones from her last album, but I wish she'd bring back the enka influences in some of her songs. Crossover was awesome...I really like that style for her. (Either that or heavier synth...maybe both?)

She has a great voice, but sometimes I think it's not being used to its fullest advantage. Her latest song reminds me a lot of her older stuff. But I have to hand it to her, she's really pretty! She looks a lot like my host mother. :yes

Love Her...Like her recent fast songs...Whenever i listen to her songs, i tend to listen to more and more...Some kind of linkage...

She can dance, sing well, has a very good voice, good hybrid style she is singing...What else more to expect

I love her. One of my favorite J-Pop artists of all time. She has an excellent voice and is also has a great personality. :D

I voted for "Who?..." because I haven't really got into her. I know she's quite popular but I haven't really heard her songs. And I don't really know her. But she's so beautiful!

I like Shimatani but I'm not that much into her, her music is not that appealing to me. I liked her Heart & Symphony album quite a lot though, and some of her older songs are good. IMO she is one of the most talented vocalists in j-music. Her voice is gorgeous.

She is beautiful, like a japanese angel. =P HEr voice is her best point though IMO. It's so nice to listen to and sometimes even make up for the rather average quality of some of her songs. She has her share of amazing songs though, I especially like her ethnic ones. And she sings better than anyone I've ever heard live.

VIOLA (this was the song that made me discover her), Poinsettia, Shanty - crossover - , papillion, Yume Biyori, Take me home (japanese country!), Salvia, Z!Z!Z!, falco, ichiba ni ikou, itsu no hi ni ka..., Song for Everybody Kachoufuuei. I can't go on but there are others too.

She is probably my second favourite artist after ayu. Her music is mostly "easy" and pleasant, so I really never tire from it, although I sometimes get slightly bored by some of it.

And PLUS!! If anyone has the UKULELE version of amairono song Please share! I've been looking all over for it!

I absolutely love her! She has an amazing voice and she is so gorgeous. her songs have a nice beat to them. Besides ayu she is the best singer I have heard.

I love 'Tsuiko+LOVE LETTER' and 'crossover.
Everything else is so-so.
She needs to participate more.
Maybe write some more lyrics.
I couldn't find a difference with 'Himitsu'.

of course i like her! she really does have some great songs, like garnet moon, for example. i think she has a wonderful voice too. it's just too bad her sales aren't higher. but i still enjoy her music.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER!! I think she's soooo gorgeous and her music is just beautiful, unique and her voice is stunning. the only song I can't stand is papillon though.

I absolutely Love her as weLL! She's one of the top JPOP artist for me. There are some songs of her that i can't stand but mostly, WOW! They're good. Her voice is beautful + she's beautiful... And she's quite good in acting and even performed in musicaLs... LOL! one of my favorit artists ever...

I adore Shimatani Hitomi. She certainly kicks hitomi's ass. That woman is dull as heck and has an annoying voice, while Shimatani Hitomi has a beautiful, operatic voice and truly original music (even if some songs start to sound the same after awhile).

omg, she's amazinggg <3 I LOVE her classical-dance genre! I never would've thought that would sound good, but she really pulls it off well xD And she's got such a strong, amazing voice! I love her ^__^
