Anja Garbarek - Smiling & Waving
I really love this album and I love Anja Garbarek. A friend gave me the hint and I listened to her album an fell in lovr with her music. Then I saw that it was less then 10$ (8.97€) and must buy it :)

Katie Melua - Piese by Piece
Because a friend gave it to me and I really liked it and wanted to get the CD for so long but it always was too expensive. I just also needed something to reach 20€ of order for free forwarding and then I remembered this CD and bought it ^-^

I cannot even remember... it was quite a while ago.

I think it was Natasha Bedingfield's "These Words". I bought it because I had heard "These Words" and instantly fell in love with the song. I heard that "Unwritten" was a great song too so I figured I should just go and get the album. I heard it was also an overall great album so why not? I still haven't had a chance to listen to it though.

Tori Amos - Scarlet's Walk
I just liked the cover and it was on special sale so I bought it. I heard a lot of good stuff about her music and actually I like it very much noch :)

System Of A Down - STEAL THIS ALBUM
It was also a special sale and my boyfriend really likes them and always wanted to buy it and so I took it as a present for him ^-^

ROSENSTOLZ - DAS GROSSE LEBEN Limited Deluxe Edition with DVD
This will be the present for my mother. We both love this Germany band. Their music is great. I hope she'll be happy. It is brandnew ^-^

CD: Fiona Apple- Extraordinary Machine

Why: I went to the shop to get (miss)understood. However, only those who have made reservations will get it and there isn't enough stock for even those who have reserved. The lady showed me a copy from one of the boxes and it was so pretty. So I paid twice the usual down payment and looked around. I asked for Hooverphonic, Jem, The Cardigans, Tori Amos, but they were all not on sale there. So I looked at the JPOP CDs for Utada, but Keep Tryin' only arrives next month. Then I asked for Ultimate Kylie. The lady said only RM32 and I was shocked. I quickly said yes and she went to another shelf to get a copy. I followed her and saw the CD. Then I told her I want it. As she walked to the counter, I saw a CD stood out from the others because of the bright fuchsia side. The CDs were all sideways by the way. I looked closer and... "AUNTY, STOP! I WANT THIS ONE! THIS ONE!" I guess I did embarrass my brother a little, thank god no customers were there. So I paid for it but it cost me RM42, because it was imported. There you have it...

Good buy!

My last few purchases:

CD: Charles Mingus - Mingus Ah Um
Because: It's probably the best bop album ever made on this world. Incredibly brilliant, breathtaking stuff. Was going to buy it earlier already but then picked up Pre-Bird because they didn't have Mingus Ah Um over at the store where I went. Did find it now, so immediately bought it.

CD: Sigur Rós - Hoppipolla
Because: It's just a CD-single, but since I'm very fond of getting band's entire discographies, I thought it'd be nice to have it. And it is nice to have it, of course. Good stuff.

CD: David Bowie - Hunky Dory
Because: It's early David Bowie, which normally equals good Bowie. Especially so in the case of Hunky Dory, which features brilliant songs such as Queen ***** and Life On Mars. Great album.

CD: Joanna Newsom - The Milk-Eyed Mender
Because: I already had this one, but it was only €4 and because it's so good I thought I'd just pick it up so I can give it someone else or whatever. It's so brilliant, I just couldn't leave it there among all the crappy discount albums.

The giant amount of buzz about them made me pick it up. Rather glad of the purchase.

I adore Extrodinary Machine so I decided to pick up some history on here. Once again, very glad about this.

Well I have been a fan of Ayu's for about three or four years now and have honestly LOVED everything she has put out so picking up "Startin'/Born To Be..." was a must. I haven't had a chance to open it up yet though... but I plan to soon... plus my cashier was SO CUTE! I think he is going to be my new boyfriend. HAHAHA But yeah... and I picked up "forgiveness" because it was a STEAL (in my opinion) at $7.00 brand new! I already had a crappy beat up Overseas version of "forgiveness" from some guy who totally ripped me off but I wanted one suitable for my Ayu collection, so I picked it up. They has also the CD-only version of "fairyland", which I also need but I made sure I only picked up one CD. CDs EAT my money.

lol xD I never thought of that.. Maybe I should pay attention to salesgirls too.. And CDs DO eat money. Its like Hydrochloric Acid and Calcium Carbonate.

I pre-ordered the new Rie Fu and Ayaka Hirahara CD's a few weeks ago. It made me really poor, but they're going to be amazing. I bought them as a present to myself for (kind of) finishing transfer applications.

Definitely. I already had Agaetis Byrjun and loved that, so it was a blind buy. I'm not sure yet which I like better. Where Agaetis Byrjun has the better songs, ( ) has more coherence and more abstract beauty. On second thought, I do like Agaetis Byrjun better, but ( ) still is great. A good buy, definitely. Great band, Sigur Rós!

Rumble Fish is a Korean group with a very interesting musical style. I was able to download this album from another forum. I loved it.
It's pretty cheap on YesAsia too :P

Hajime Chitose - Nomad Soul
It's a fantastic and beautiful album. It may not be as good as her first, but it is still worth every cent.

Core of Soul - Natural Beauty
Another kick-ass album. It's short, powerful, and really sticks with you.
I owe it to them to buy this great album.

Natalie Imbruglia - Counting Down The Days
Saw the CD, went mad. Saw the price tag, madness subsided. Saw only one copy left and no more in stock, bought it on the spot. Plus comes with a B-side and the video. RM32. Price of Ultimate Kylie.

Ashlee Simpson - Shadow
I thought it was her only good single beside La La, and plus there's a video on it. Saw the price tag, bought it. RM15 only.

Last thing I bought ordered was Koda Kumi's Best~second session~ cd+2dvd. It just got approved though, so it was shipped out to me today.

Katie Melua - Call Off The Search
I just love her voice and it was said that this album was even much better than the second "Piece by Piece". I like it very much but I do not think it is really that much better... it is just a bit different in style.

Neverending White Lights - Act 1: Goodbye Friends of the Heavenly Bodies

I bought that yesterday. It's different from the stuff I usually listen to, but I enjoyed it :) The only negative thing (maybe?), was that 'The Gace' was really misleading when I heard it on the radio- none of the songs sound similar at all to it.

In Flames - Come Clarity [CD & DVD]

Why: Because In Flames is one of my favorite bands and it's their new album.

As much as I resisted it, the songs still grew on me, and now I own it. And I just found out that she's re-releasing the album with extra tracks. Skank. Anyway, amazing album, I never expected something so commercial to be so enjoyable!

Hooverphonic- Sit Down And Listen To...
I was regretting buying it at the high price after founding out it was a live album. But when I listened to it, it was really bloody awesome. The tracks are really beautiful and they do not sound live at all. No audiences making sounds was heaven, especially with the kind of ambient pop lounge type thingy music this group makes. Worth every cent.

The last DVD I bought was Legally Blonde 2 (Taiwan Edition) because it was only a dollar. The movie itself is so-so, has some funny parts & a Gay Doggie.

The last "real" CD album (not single) I bought was: Handsome Boy Modeling School (A hip-hop collaboration between Dan "The Automator" Nakamura and Prince Paul Huston) - The Fall Collection For The Discerning Listener Ep... I just love HBMS! Dan Nakamura is so great. I went on a spree at the record shop & bought like 9 US singles and the dvd (mentioned above), and this Ep... Spent like 12 dollars on so many things.
