The Official Aikawa Nanase Thread
It's about time this amazing girl gets her own official thread! I've been putting this off for far too long...
She's far too underrated, considering she's amazing... AND she was here before All of today's huge JStars. She's probably the ultimate Female JRocker in Japan. :) For people new to Nanase, I'll introduce you. Nanase debuted her first album, RED, In Japan, 1996. It reached #1 on Oricon charts and charted for 54 weeks. Enough proof she deserves a try for everyone. I'll also be willing to upload requests for people willing to give her a try. You'll also know her for singing the Inuyasha theme, Owarinai Yume, which IMO, isn't one of her most amazing songs. Official Site wiki So did anyone like her new single, EVERBODY GOES? I loved Owarinai Yume, it was such a great song. I guess it was kind of pop though.

Yeah, I really liked it, but it kinda wore off me after a while.. It's good for a first song, but when you hear some of her other stuff it's just kinda like ehhh... -points to avatar- But it's still a nice song! :):) The PV was so destructive and fun...

She's performing in Singapore in June :teek I haven't decided whether to go or not though... :(

I think mine's prolly Ai no Uta -Majenta Rain-, but I've pretty much killed it now. :( (too many listenings D: ) I'd say other favorites are also: Giniro no Fune (reminds me of Duty), Sakura Saku, Roppongi Shinjyu, China Rose, Mokka no Koiboto, Koi Gokoro, Heat of the Night, and "THE END" are also amazing IMO. :) (I'm forgetting something.. I know it! D:!!!) And, my favorite album currently would prolly be FOXTROT.. Semi OT: Does anyone by chance has her The Last Quarter, or ID albums? I can't find them anywhere! :( |
Normally I don't come to the Official threads, but when I see Nanase's name anywhere, I go crazy-for-nuts.
I LOVE Nanase. I love her music, her image, her personality, just about everything. My favorite album is FOXTROT, although I also love RED, crimson, and 7 seven. Owarinai Yume is a nice song, and the PV is cool. Ugh, if I was in Singapore, I'd definitely go to that show! ;_; |

And I downloaded her concert, 7.7.7, and am trying to finish watching it right now.(After some ass on slsk imed me and banned me like an immature jackass. >_>) Nonono, I support. I just ordered her asia singles collection+VCD and will rip it when it arrives if anyone wants it. I really wish she had more english fans :weep. Calico, I can't agree with you more. The only album I'm missing is ID(1), which I can't find. It's basically a best album, but has "Lovin' You" on it. One of the best songs EVER. :weep It's going to be on my singles collection, though, so I can still share everything very soon! :D I'll upload stuff now! |

Thank you for the Purana and Last Quarter tracks. If anyone is in Japan, it's a great opportunity to pick up used, first press Nanase CDs! At BookOff I got the first press of crimson, with the slip case, for only 2 dollars. :yes But in retrospect I should've picked up RED, too. Oh well. That's why there's next time!

The only full album I've never heard by her is Purana. Would you mind uploading that?
What's everyone's favorite songs? Ironically my favorite song is a cover, and is often ignored by her whole fanbase: Roppongi Shinjyu. It was the first Nanase song I heard, and I loved it instantly. It's so rockin. o_O I also love Ai no Uta, Jealousy, Heat of the Night, and Lovin' You. |

I love Roppongi Shinjyu. It's so crazy.
I actually think I love all of her songs, just some of them are less entertaing than others.. I'm in love with Purana. "THE END" is AMAZING. Seven Seas, Midnight Blue, nearly everything you can hear 10+ times in a row and not get bored. By the way, Everyone, I put a link in my sig to download her albums. I have to say one of my favorite songs from her is "DO IT!!" off of the "Owarinai Yume" single. I also love "Ai no Uta". I love the piano mixed with the guitars, etc. What can I say...I'm a sucker for rock music combined with classical instruments. But, yeah, pretty much any song I hear from her I'll probably like. |

I keep trying to download her singles, but there's nearly no seeders! One is dead, and the other is taking too long for the seeder to sign on. I sure hope it downloads soon, though. I also realized something funny today. I was checking how big my music folders are, Ayu's about 5GB, then I check Nanase and it's like... 20GB LOL. Some are torrents that haven't fully downloaded, so that may be a bit why. I also just heard the original Roppongi Shinjyu. I was surprised it wasn't as good as nanase's version. D: !! Someday though, when I'm old enough to get a job, I'll try to buy as much nanase as I can. (+All my other Japanese music loves.) Maybe I can do as calico suggested and go to Japan and get used everything. :) |

Ok i just downloaded Foxtrot, R.U.O.K?!, Purana, Crimson and the first quarter, oh yea and the last quarter. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG:luv2 I-LOVE-FOXTROT(:luv2giniro no fune,Second wind,jealousy, crying, heat of the night)!!!!!! so many good songs :love Purana and Crimson are good albums too but not as Foxtrot imo. and I love most songs on r.u.o.k?! especially snowfall and red wheel:loveas for the first quarter,Kagiri Aru Hibiki and SHARING OF LOVE are beautiful!!! I've been a Nanase fan for awhile. I finally listened to R.U.O.K - it's an okay album, but I LOVE Red Wheel and Snowfall. Did anyone buy or see the 7.7.7. DVD? I loved the line up of musicians for the DVD, but I never bought it.

CREA.tive, I'm so glad you like Nanase! If you haven't listened to RED yet, it's probably her best album, or one of the very top. And I think I decided; yume miru shoujo ja irarenai is probably my favorite song. (It's on RED.) It never gets old, it's Nanase's first song, and the composition and lyrics are AMAZING. SSS: The links have expired now. D: If you have messenger or something though, I can send them there, or maybe even reupload if you ask. :) And I might have seen 7.7.7. DVD. I saw LIVE EMOTION 2004 7.7.7. If it's the same thing. If not, I yet to watch 7.7.7. DVD. I have it on my computer, I just haven't watched it yet. I really can't wait for the release. I had a dream a few days ago that her official site was updated with a new layout and everything, and the cover was just amazing-- again. I'm guessing this album will be out between September-December, seeing as R.U.O.K.?! was released last November.

Update.
Nanase's Official site has been updated. I checked earlier today noticing there was a few new pictures on the side pages, and right now I checked again. There's a whole new flash intro and everything. According to her site, I think the album is called "ShamRock". I assume it's a full album. I was blessed with the second baby! I'm 6 months pregnant now, and we are both doing fine! I'll continue recording like I did with my first baby. We are having a special live event on "Nanase's day", July 7, since it is the triple 7 of "7/ 7, 2007" this year. Hope you'll enjoy! I enjoyed visiting many countries last year. FOXTROT is my favorite album. Red, crimson, and 7 seven are also really good. But FOXTROT has Second Wind, Jealous, Heat of the NIght, China Rose, Giniro no Fune, and lots of awesome songs in general.

nanase is now returing to her singing career full time, she joined with a foreign artist (not named so far) to form the unit "Crimson-FANG" (limited unit formation only for the movie release) and their new track, "Circle of Life" will be used as the theme for the masked rider kiva movie (the single will be released 8/6). The song will have two versions, a 1986 ver. and a 2008 ver. The article also mentions that her new solo album will be released in autumn. I CAN'T WAIT! :heart: |

oh my! nanase is coming back! the last release i bought was '7 Seven' years ago. China Rose is still my fav nanase track for a very long time :luv2
