Aw, damn it all. Was it not popular enough, or was she too busy? I'm thinkin the latter mostly...she sure is one busy woman. It probably had a crappy time slot too, didn't it? I wonder if the last two episodes say why it ended.
|
I don't think anyone here knows for sure why it ended, what I've heard though is that it was due to popularity issues.
|
ayuready? ended long ago. but i forgot whats the reason. XD
|
yeah i'm not sure why it ended but im glad it did so it gave Ayumore time to focus on her music
but i heard something about how people didnt like Ayu's personality there or something xD |
popularity issues? i don't think so... I think ayu has not enough time.

The ratings later in the show were really terrible, if i remember correctly... everyone watched the first few episodes but they never really got the ratings back up again after they basically plummeted... even opening the Rainbow House restaurant and having a summer event there didn't help.
It just wasn't a very good show... the things they did were boring, ayu was acting too cutesy alot of times, the conversations were too personal and the audience kinda felt left out sometimes (I know I did)... It was more like... ayu was being filmed hanging out & doing things with her friends, and I guess Fuji TV expected that people would watch just cuz it was Ayu, but... meh. Really, very "meh". |
Ah, thanks for the insight Delirium-Zer0.
|
Yeah, thanks a lot, that makes a lot of sense. Leaves me kinda wondering what in the world they could've done to make it a good show. Unless EVERYONE LOVES Ayu, she'd have to do something to appeal to a wide wide audience... Actually, what irks me about it is that I'm not quite sure what made Ayuready? lame and what makes HeyX3 a mad popular show. You think it's cause other artists aren't free to do their own act and it's always a duet with Ayu? I for one love hearing how Ayu's voice changes when she sings other people's songs.
|
In the sense of Hey x3 there are multiple artists on each episode, so it has the overall appeal of more people. That and the conversations are actually entertaining & funny, so you want to watch them more. Also, most of ayu's guests were classic artists & people in the pop world who were already very well known; Hey x 3 was a good place to discover new music, and the artists were more popular in the short term so people were more excited to catch it. I hate to say it, but no one was probably DYING to turn on Ayu Ready because Akiko Wada, The Kano Sisters, or Beat Takeshi were gonna be on it. They're cool and all, but very "eh" to most of the japanese audience at this point.
|
I didnt see many eps of Ayuready, but it was an OK tv program, and I think Hey*3 is more funny yeah, but I think it ended bcs Ayu doesnt have much time..
|
Probably a combination between not having time and a decreasing number of viewers among other smaller things.
Whatever caused it has already had it's way and we'll most likely never again see her in a TV show of her own. |
Ah I see. Well, all I can say is it's too bad it just wasn't that good...zannen desu ne. But yea, I'd agree that she'd be stretching herself too far trying to do a TV show while doing all the things we know and love her for.
|
It's probably better that she doesn't..
then again that year she pushed out the BEST MINIALBUM EVER AKA MEMORIAL ADDRESS.~ :x And even then she said 'I felt rushed for time.. so the result was a bit rushed..' |
Yeah, I agree it's probably better she doesn't have a TV show. It'd just be too much, not only for us but mainly for herself.
Or... wait... she SHOULD have her own TV show, or maybe 5, to keep her busy, keep her under stress! She definately prooved that she works well under stress with Memorial address <3 <3 <3. Let's pray she rushes some more and creates a Memorial address #2 :D |
haha yeah
well I wouldn't mind at all, but let's not be to hard on the girl :D |
a bit off topic maybe, but i remember right after ayu ready? ended, there were some other shows that ayu was said to be scheduled to host, but then i never heard anything else about it. i guess those were just rumors.
|
...I find it odd that I remember that as well.
Anyone know? |
When it comes to stars as big as Ayumi it's very likely she could be offered positions in various TV shows, but it's even more likely that random rumours starts floating around.
Rumours are rarely entirely untrue though, she probably was offered something and then people started talking about how she was scheduled as a hostess for a lot of shows :P. Unless someone can find an old article stating which exact shows those was, I belive we will never know the entire truth. |
You know...if ayumi said it was rushed, and I don't remember reading much about (miss)understood...she shouldn't spend so much time then...she needs more stress, lol. Seems like (miss)understood was too perfect then? I know I know a lil off topic
