new AHS server
 

AHS has been moved to a a new server which hopefully will result in improved performance. Please bear with us while the kinks in the new system are worked out.

The related downtime on 13th June was unavoidable and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Special thanks to zef and LeButler for making the fast transition possible. :thumbsup

The new machine was running slow for the first few hours but now seems very quick. Please report any periods of slowness you get during this first week to me via PM or email.

It would have been nice if AHS innitiates could have been notified that AHS would not be availible for a few days, though.

Ayumi_no_yume we were completely unaware of this whole mess. No notice was given by the host.

this new host is great, I can actually load the forum faster than i can make a cup of tea now :D (and that's fast)

oh ok..*is relieved* when i tried to get on AHS then, i was like, OMG whats wrong...i was panicking....oh and about the speed thing, no noticeable change for me, but thats only cuz my internet is crap and the only page that loads up in less than 20 seconds is yahoo cuz its my homepage.

wow i am so glad this works, i was tired of double/triple posting due to serious lags. I enjoy this site very much so it's nice it works so well.

As a mod, I have to say that the new server has helped out a lot as far as moving threads goes. In the past, I would have to move a thread 3 times just to get it to go where it was supposed to go. Now, everything goes really smoothly!

Yup, it was nice you bothered to give quickly infos on the main site.

I get e-mails for new PMs as well as for subscriptions.

Oh my, I'm so happy I wasn't here when that page showed up, I got a bridge really close to where I live.

I noticed the slowness of the server the first few hours, I almost took a stroll to the bridge, but since then I've had no problems what so ever, though I've been away most of the last 2 weeks.
