Was beautiful fighters filmed in the US?
 

Looks kind of like california to me
and theres a sign in the restaurant with the burger lady with some california sign?
the tree's also look like cali trees, and street signs too (well definately US)
cant make out the license plate too well, but judging from the blurrness doesnt look like it cant be either
any one know?

The mailbox also says "US Mail". Either they just made it look very much like the US or they simply went there to film it.

As avex searched for people for this PV on their website I doubt it´s filmed in the US.

Usually when she goes overseas for a PV, that location is extensively used/incorporated into the PV (e.g. Appears, fairyland, Bold & Delicious/Pride, BLUE BIRD).

But that's not to say she doesn't always... I don't think she had the time (concert + going to film BLUE BIRD PV) but it does look like America...

It really looks like California, unless there is a place in Japan with palm trees. Unless those are props? And you must not forget there are alot of Americans in this one too.

but a flight to the states is only like 12 hours away
the blue bird PV's location doesnt realli look like japan either !

She didnt go to US... 1) it would be much cheaper to film it in Japan (She had like dosens of other people in the PV, airline tickets would be expencive for that manye ppl)
2) They would probably have photo shoots at the location, and there havent been any..

there was once a rumour that said that GUAM Island was the place for ayu to shoot the BLUE BIRD PV..

we'll know if we got the CD+DVD..

oh she DID went overseas to film BLUE BIRD PV? in spite of her busy schedule for her arena tour?

It really seems so. I belive she took a few days vacation in the middle of the tour, between some of the performances, to also go shoot footage for the BB PV.

Guam isn't really 'overseas' though, just a few hours by plane from Tokyo... Somewhere in the Pacific... I know it's a popular tourist destination for Japanese people though... And the scenery in BLUE BIRD PV looks really Guam'ish:)

When I first saw the BLUE BIRD PV I wondered if she'd filmed it when she was in Hawaii last year. I mean, her haircut now looks so similar to the way it did in the Fairyland PV...anybody else notice that? Maybe she filmed both PVs there in Hawaii but didn't release BLUE BIRD until this year (though I doubt it).

I noticed in the Beautiful Fighters PV a billboard that said "Cuyahoga" on it and Cuyahoga is in Ohio. I suppose there may be other places named Cuyahoga in the world, but I found this interesting because I'm originally from Ohio. I seriously doubt the PV was filmed anywhere near Ohio, but I wonder why that particular billboard was included? Curious....

People seem to think that the BLUE BIRD pv was filmed in Guam, because there's many locations that does not at all look like Hawaii in it.

Maybe, maybe not, if it wasn't they sure made it thoroughly look like it was shot in the US.

That's for sure. Most of the people certainly look like they could be American or European.

And by the way, the large bald guy sitting in the restaurant (lifting his utensils up and down) is just gross. I hope the makers of this PV don't consider his type to be a typical American. I have never seen anyone acting like that in real life. I suppose his actions were exagerated for effect, but still...yuck. No wonder Kayano-chi flipped out and dumped all the food on him. :P

"BLUE BIRD"'s PV is really similar to Dubai.

It wasn't really a rumor..

A ViVi DejidejiDiary showed Ayu in an airport among other places... And she was wearing the same glasses and stuff as in the PV.. so.. yeah.. xD

I think it was America. It has to be. The only Asain people in the whole think were ayu and her dancers!! And it looks to authentic to all just be props. And if it is just props then they did a really good job but I don't think it is.

Does Japan have palm trees?

Those scenes that the people were used in though were insert shots - they could have easily filmed that opening scene in Japan and the rest of the video somewhere else. But yeah, we will find out when the making of comes out.

Dunno... Probably there is... The restaurant is quite common i guess.. And others are just quite common in Japan... but palm trees? I dunno about that...

Lol, sure it does! Just check the map and see which longitudes/latitudes Japan spans over. Okinawa for example is I think a bit like California.

She could film it in Hawaii as well, becouse there are English writings on the posters on the racetrack... 0.0

Well if she went to Dubai, she didnt film the last scenes of BLUE BIRD there... (The ones with lots of green hills) Cause Dubai does not have that kind of nature...

nono, I don't think so. They looked completly real to me, the sunlight artefact on the lense... Greenscreen would mean additional arrangements and they'd have to shoot it in a studio most probably...

I'm actually quite sure it is after having watched some documentaries about the technique, but ofcourse it might not be. I'm still waiting for the making of, just speculating :D.

I'm basing my theory on how she looks on the background of the sky. I'm sure it's 100% natural lighting on her, which would indicate if they did any greenscreen shooting, they had to do it outside. Looking at the rocky edge, I don't think they could bother hanging green sheets all around it [extreme "botherment"], then send the tapes for CG post-production to paste image so detailed it looks real [additional expenses and it takes time].

But yeah, we'll know after seeing the making of's.

Right, I remember ppl mentioning it was an open call... I don't think they did open calls previously, but then again, they probably just ran out of caucasians in all the talent agencies. It's no wonder, since I bet not many non-Asians that come to Japan think "Oh, I should sign up to a talent agency so I can be an extra." at once, many people aren't aware of this sort of opportunity (Not me, I wanna go to Japan and do as an extra! :D)

But on the other hand, they could just cast people in Japan and them bring the over to wherever the PV was being filmed...

yeah, it was the u.s. cause i let ayu borrow my cars for the pv. i'm a nice guy like that.

just kidding...i actually doubt it was in the u.s. but who knows.
