Time for a rant....

You know what song I hate. Unfaithful by Rihanna. This song is HORRID. I didn't mind her other two singles Pon De Replay and S.O.S, Rescuse Me... but this is just beyond belief. She starts off with and awful tone and sings about how she doesnt wanna be a "Murder" cuz shes cheating on her boyfriend. WTF? who the hell sings a song about not wanting to cheat on their boyfriend? You dont wanna cheat? DON'T DO IT! simple! my god. Dumbest concept for a song. Everyone I know LOVES this song. WHYYY. I haven't heard such trash since We Belong Together by Mariah Carey. I don't even wanna attempt to see the PV....and people wonder why I hate english music. In fact here are song songs I hate.....

I see most of Black Eyed Peas songs you hate! ^.^ I understand completely about Rhianna a murderer is going just a bit too dramatic.

I Hate that Push My Buttons song or Whatever It's Called By the Pussycat Dolls and Most of their Other Stuff Aswell.Also that Ne-yo Song Sexy Love, It's Played all the Time and It Annoys Me.

My current hated songs are (and I wish Radio 1 would stop playing them - they could play some more UK music instead):

Rihanna - Unfaithful. The piano isn't actually too bad, but it's ruined by the R&B beat and her singing. Do not like her voice on this song.

Pussycatdolls - Buttonz. Anything spelt incorrectly should automatically be banned in my opinion.

Justin Timberlake - Sexyback. WTF?! It sounds like this song was just thrown together with no effort put in. Although I do actually prefer his voice this way.

Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man. This song is just...too loud! Not a fan of the style - the beat has really started to irritate me and I can not stand the way she sings it. We know you can sing ok!

EDIT: can't believe I forgot Beyonce - Deja Vu. Don't like her anyone or her voice, but really do not like her voice on this song. can't stand her style of singing.

I can't really hate songs i don't listen to but one that sticks out in my mind is Nelly - Grillz, its the song that made me want to test out music where i can't understand the lyrics, and thus i landed here, an ayu fan...

"Bossy" by Kelis. Worst song I've ever heard. The video is awful too. Kelis really needs to get rid of her new emo slice.

Any recent pop song by Koda Kumi. They are generic, ubiquitous, bland, and just trash. I don't mean to bash Koda here, as I really like (some of) her music, but the garbage she is capable of producing is almost offensive. For those of you who think Ayu's pop songs are awful this year, listen to "Birthday Eve", "WIND", or "With Your Smile". You'll see why I praise Ayu's singles this year so much.

Hah. Ayu's sub-par voice making it big in the music industry is enough to ruin JPOP forever. Koda has a better voice than Ayu. Plus she dared to be different in the prim and proper scene.

JPOP saviours would be Mika and Koda. Mika created jazz influenced pop music that people loved plus her music videos are so refreshing. Koda went over the top and reached a whole new level in an idustry dominated by male singers and groups.

I dislike Rihanna in general, well, not her, but her songs, they really glue to my brain, and I don't even like'em! And her voice is really nasal, and it bothers me to listen to it, cause after a while it's just annoying to listen to...Imagine a whole album witht hat voice, no thanks!

Why are you taking everything people have said about Ayu and sticking Koda's name on it? o_o

Oh well. Ayu's ambition was never to be a singer, and it's quite amazing that she's made it this far and is STILL going. Many pop stars are like 'oo i want to sing plz' when they're little.. Ayu on the other hand was like.. a miracle! Such a find was like, one in 21232 million. Koda is the same as other pop stars, "I want to be a singer." except she's willing to do anything and anyone.

If anything, Ayu sounds a lot better than most average voices out there, especially if compared to her ASFXX album to the (m)u tracks. There's a REASON WHY people keep coming back to concerts.

Now I don't think sex appeal is wrong, but she tries wayyyy too hard to be over-the-top with it. I just listened to 'ningyo-hime' a few days ago, and I don't really get it. I don't hear any melody, and she sounds really uncomfortable with the style of the song. I could understand if she was semi-popular like she was a few years ago (when she had better music), but seriously, she's not that great right now. I don't see the big fuss, at all. A majority of the 12 singles she released, including 'ningyo-hime', may be among the worst J-pop songs I've ever heard. :no

Then again, I've never been wowed by Japan's Female Pop/R&B acts, with the exception of the brilliant Crystal Kay and Namie Amuro, who have managed to always 'keep it real'.

Namie may have a few suggestive songs, but she pulls it off with tons of class and conviction. She's a mother, she's an extremely gracious humanitarian, and she doesn't release 12 singles in one month. For that, more power to her.

I'm willing to ignore Want me Want me's lyrics because the melody itself is really catchy.

Ningyo-hime isn't that great of a song IMO. It might have been better had someone else (Yuna ito, Ai otsuka, Ayu, Olivia) sung it, but when Koda sung it it just sounds awkward...But the thing I don't like about koda's sexiness is that it's too much in-your-face sexiness. She has some nice songs, but it just seems like she tries too hard to be sexy.

Stars are blind by Paris Hilton. Diaphragm support Paris, diaphragm support. Remember you're singing, not whispering.

Noone here is comparing how terrible 'this artist' is to other artists. Not just that, but he says something negative about her in almost every.....single......thread. It's terribly irritating, so much as that I feel like banging my head against the wall and never coming back to AHS again. This is the drama i'm trying to avoid, and yet, it seems to be occuring always.

Firstly, Ayu's voice is much, much better than Koda Kumi's in my opinion. Koda's vocals simply lack the incredible versatility, emotive quality, and overall distinctiveness of Ayu's.

Secondly, though Namie's lyrics can be very suggestive at times, she presents herself in a much more classy and sophisticated way than Koda Kumi. You don't see Namie going doggy style with her female dancers in her videos or servicing wine bottles.

I agree with you on that notion. Hence I did say the comment toward ELT also had nothing to do with the songs but the artist. If anything, you cannot fix a multi-aspect problem by only correcting one of the points while leaving the rest unattended.
