Ayu clone? (includes merged Minori threads)
 

Who is she? Her fullname Atsuko Kubota... Ayu called her Minori. In Arena 2002 and Stadium 2002, she was given a special introduction by Ayu.

Minori is ayu's "stand in".
Basically, ayu's double. She disguises herself as ayu for certain reasons.
If you watch making of Uraayu, they used Minori to distract the paparrazi so ayu could leave.
She was also the second ayu for the A BALLADS photoshoot, and in the RAINBOW PV.

Woah really?! ....ooh! I just looked at my A Ballads booklet picture...XD!! I would have never guessed it was another person!...then i saw the difference in the picture where Minori's eyes are open :o that's awsome that she looks so similar to Ayu...

But it's all ayu in the end.
Minori really doesn't look like ayu, but their body structures are the same.

oh yeha i noticed her in the stadium tour and i also hear Ayu call her minori, yeah she is very cute but Ayu is cuter and prettier^^

oh btw, about her as the second-ayu in RAINBOW PV & A BALLADS, i don't think they're really that similar [based on what i saw in ARENA 2002 & DOME 2001], Minori's face are wayy different compare to hamasaki's...

She only participate in the PV of RAINBOW not the A BALLADS album...
I think they use they same way of making ayu-mi-x II for making A BALLADS

They only used her as a "dummy" and later I'm guessing they photoshopped (or whatever other editing program) ayu's face in, but the faces for A BALLADS/RAINBOW are both ayu.
If they had done it without another person there, it wouldn't have looked as realistic.

I have some photos of the making of RAINBOW, but I'll have to dig it out somewhere amongst the million pictures I have of ayu.

Does Ayu have doubles (as in someone that looks kinda like her) fill in for her during concerts? Like that one concert... I think it was Arena Tour 2002, during the opening run dance- that wasn't Ayu, was it?

Yes, one named "Minori" that was used in the A BALLADS photoshoot and Rainbow PV, and as a distraction for paparrazzi's...There was a topic about this not a while ago that had the topic title "Minori" in this forum. Hope this helps.

i think there are many in her concerts. There are two in Dome tour 2001, when she performs that stunt on the motorbike during the song AUDIENCE.

hmmm, I did some searches on the net, and found out that atsuko 'minori' kubota has already been appeared on the list of thanks on her "Dearest" single. Now, she could be more earlier than that I guess.

I think is figure-wise, short and medium build for her height.

i have a question for the people who have seen it at 1 hour and 16 minutes y is there 2 Ayus??in that part there r 2 people in the Ayu I Am costume??is that the same person she introduces at the end when shes calling out all the dancers and she was the last one to be called even though shes not a dancer her name was minari or something who is that?? she had the same clothes and hair style then too??for the people whohavent seen it go to Ayumi-Hamasaki.org there is arena tour 02 in the downloads

It's mostly the person they use to lure people away so that Ayu can make a clean getaway in public..

Minori has done that. In the Uraayu video when they're working on Ayu's photoshoots, one of her doubles dresses up like Ayu and goes out the front of the hotel to distract the paparazzi while Ayu and her crew sneaks out the back to get to the photoshoot location...but not everybody was fooled. :P

i think i saw her!!! was she the one helping out the magic trick in Dome tour 2001??u no when he drives "Ayu"(who is really just Minori with a helmet and the viser covering part of her face thats y they didnt zoom in on her face)and then the box explodes and 2 seconds later Ayu(the real one) pops up on stage.was that her??but where did they go the ligt went off for about less than half a second and then the lights were back on and they were gone.anyone nos how that works??ut it was pretty awsome

They photoshopped Ayu's face onto Minori's body. XDD I remember seeing BoA's Girls on Top photoshoot and they chucked some woman who looked nothing like BoA next to her. XD I think they are looking for similar body types.

I'd say probably not, as it's 5 years between the two and the other girl never appeared again during those 5 years I think.

Recently, her stand in has been a woman called Takami 'Poroko' Desaki.

I've never seen a picture of her though, at least I don't think I have.
I noticed she had a new 'stand in' a few years ago.
