"Candyland" is the sophomore album of Grammy-Award winning artist Gwen Stefani. The album is expected to contain leftover songs from her first solo album (Love Angel Music Baby) and some new songs. "Candyland" is expected to include the songs "Wind it Up" and "Orange County Girl," which Gwen first exhibited during her 2005 Harajuku Lovers tour.

The album is also expected to contain the following songs:

"Parental Advisory": produced by Rich Harrison who worked on Beyoncé Knowles' "Crazy In Love". The song pokes fun at dancers with moves better suited for the strip clubs than the dance clubs.

"Wonderful Life for Him": written with Linda Perry. Gwen first abandoned this song as it was very personal to her. She later decided to finish the track after realising its potential. The song is written about a boy that she dated in high school that recently died. The guitar work on this song is done by Martin Gore of Depeche Mode.

"You Started It": written with Pharrell Williams. The concept of the song is to sound like an early No Doubt.

"Fine by You": written with Linda Perry. The song is about not being inspired. It was one of the first songs written for the album.

"Wind It Up": Gwen premiered this song on her Harajuku Lovers Tour.

"Orange County Girl": Gwen also premiered this song on her tour. It's about herself and how she's overwhelmed in this "extraordinary" world.

"Breakin' Up": A collaboration with Slim Thug. Produced by The Neptunes.

"Candyland": Co-written with Pharrell Williams.

"Criminal": Produced by Linda Perry.

"That's The Way": A collaboration with The Neptunes, with a guest appearance by Pharrell Williams

"Can't Stop The Music": Co-written and produced by Linda Perry.

"Fluorescent Lights": Written with No Doubt bandmate Tony Kanal.

Others songs rumored to be included are the following collaborations: "Haven": A duet with Mary J. Blige.

"Listen Closely": a hip-hop collaboration with Missy Elliott.

The album is expected to be released in late 2006 and in correspondence with a DVD of the 2005 Harajuku Lovers Tour.

HvnSntGurl 3rd September 2006 12:53 AM

I doubt it will be released this year.
I hope it's true.

DerrickRocks 3rd September 2006 01:32 AM

same it would be getting heavy promotion now lol

bondingo 3rd September 2006 01:39 AM

I hope that it's true. "Love.Angel.Music.Baby." was such a wonderful debut album and I'm really expecting a lot from this one, considering how I know that she's capable of greatness :)

Mad_Cactuar 3rd September 2006 01:50 AM

But I heard it was already shelved as she had the baby and No Doubt was already waiting for her. That's probably why the article is considered for deletion.

Eww, more Pharell. Isn't it time she jumped into Timbaland's bandwagon? That guy made two #1 hits already in the span of a month with SexyBack and Promiscuous.

HELVENEUE 3rd September 2006 11:59 AM

Most of the tracks were already known about...Gwen herself said that her 2nd album will probably consist of all the songs that didnt get placed on LAMB..When she'll release it is something else...shes recording with No Doubt right now so...

Ayu_Fan_00 3rd September 2006 09:23 PM

I`m definetly excited about the new No Doubt album but I thought she really wasn`t gonna come out with a second solo album. I`ve been hearing different things. But now I`m really excited!

Kinda weird how they have this on wikipedia but it doesn`t say anything on Gwen`s website. Maybe she wanted it to be a surprise but the fans found out anyway. LOL

I think this was true at some point but it no longer is. She was saying how she was going to have her second solo album out by Xmas time of 2005 (last year) but there was a change of plans... Probably the baby.

cleftjuston 5th September 2006 12:13 PM

If you go to the No Doubt page on wikipedia you'll see she's releasing a new album with them for 2007

I'd prefer it if she want back to No Doubt, really.

Yes, I heard them as well. I went with my ex-girlfriend. It was a blast. The songs sounded alot better in person even though I love them on the CD. Harajuku Girls took a little while for me to like but it was 1000x better at the concert LIVE. Sounded much more pollished and had more energy.

ohsixthirty 11th September 2006 10:03 PM

omg, she's bananas!

pbs1605 14th September 2006 09:41 AM

Gwen Stefani has great news for fans who want the singer to bring back her "Hollaback" vibe.

"It's part two to the [Love, Angel, Music, Baby] record," Stefani said of her second, yet-untitled solo album.

On Friday, the No Doubt singer presented her spring 2007 L.A.M.B. collection to rain-drenched fashion insiders such as Mena Suvari and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. The new mom dished to MTV News about her upcoming LP, her fashion inspirations and 4-month-old son Kingston James.

Stefani hopes the record, which she calls "ear candy," drops before 2007. She said she won't stray too far from what worked on her successful solo debut, even recycling some familiar collaborators.

"There's a lot of songs that were left over from the last album, and there's some new songs I did with Pharrell," she said. "There's a lot of Pharrell on this record. I did some stuff with [No Doubt's] Tony [Kanal] and some stuff with Akon."

MTV News also caught up with Swizz Beatz during Fashion Week and he said he's working with Gwen too.

"She's always taking it to the next level," he said. "I love her background for music. She likes a lot of Caribbean sounds with hard beats."
