Recent Ayu's Look = 'Older' ?
 

I saw ayu and koda together at MSS 13/10 just now..and I think that this time..I have to admit saying that ayu looked older than she is..I mean...her hair is actually wasn't "arranged" well by her stylist
comparing to Kuu chan (not starting to make an arguments/artist bashing here)...ayu look quite bad...I prefer her style in a-nation '06, what do u think guys? it's just my opinion...it's better for her to try staright hair of the nicest "I am..." era hairstyle

I really liked the style of the MS episode, so simple, although the dress she had while singing wasn't too complementing, but she seems to like them a lot as she has wore things like that at several occassions.

While Ayu definately does not look old she is gaining age, so it's just natural if we think she looks older now than 8 years ago.

No human stays young forever. She still looks perfectly fresh and young to me, more mature than 8 years ago, of course.

After her 30's I think we'll start noticing real changes.

Well I have to agree with you on the fact you stated she doesn't look like she's been done over by a stylist. Alot of women I see tend to turn like that when they get older...

Her style was not bad in that live, i don't think she seems older. But, of course she is not so young now^^ as immel says people can't stay young forever

Maybe it's all part of the "I'm now entering into the phase of life in which I am a mature woman and that my early 20s are now over" promo gimmick like BoA. Nevertheless, I think Ayu still looks young! She's still really pretty and I think she looks even better now than when she was young. Really beautiful and charming.

Her hair could've been better but it was still nice. I liked the dress alot although it brought some not-so-cool things up in my opinion..

Well.. to me it looks like all the fat talk etc. are because of the dress.. :shrug is it too small or something but it gives you a feeling that she's fat (around the arms see?).. which is nonsense...

Nonsense indeed, but I do think that the dress, which I don't find too complementing even if it's nice looking, does make her look a little chubbier. I don't see how the hair adds to it though.

Her face can also, which is proved a lot in the past, look very different depending on what make up she is wearing ... just a note for those who claim that her face looks wider. Faces don't grow wider just like that ;).

The hair is nice, kinda simple but I like but around the arms it would seem that the dress is killing or something.. or it's just me :P

Curly hair excentuates a bigger face, in my opinion.

Maybe ... in front of a trend setter I don't really have any say :).

Anyway, I think one of the periods when her face looked the wides was when she had short blond hair, much thanks to the way she often had her makeup done ... evolution era.

Also, in AT05 encore, I think her face looks pretty wide.

From what I can tell, she's not dressing like a mature woman. She's still dressing like a 20-something college student. All of her clothes are fun. :D

It's only that horrible dress in MS! Even style gurus have their "off" moments.

Well, first. Of course, Ayu looks older than Kuu. She's older than her! (Though, Ai Otsuka is older than Kuu but looks younger.)

I loved her hair and her style. It makes her look "cuter". The a-nation '06 look made her look "sexier". I do agree, she should try straight hair. So much better.

well the dress she wore and the hair and make up was all very mature. she was natural and beautiful. i really liked her look :)

Yeah, I think that she is looking older. Which also might hint onto the weight thing that's being discussed as well. Slower metabolism...

This is the first time she's chosen this hairstyle in a long time, ne? It's so rare for Ayu to go back to an old hairstyle, and this is just so similar to ye days of olde. It gives me the same feeling I get when I listen to her masterfully resing old songs. Hopes well up in my heart, and sure enough, she does not disappoint. Kickass.

That's how it is when you're famous. You can pretend to be a college student having fun your entire career :).

What do you expect? She is 28. I hope you don't expect someone that's like near 30's to look like a 15 year old...

28 IS young people.. she's not 48.. THAT'S old.. my goodness.. she hasnt even reached 35 yet and people are saying (omfgbbq ayu iz olllllllddddd!!1!1!1)
she's still "young" she is matured yes.. but still stunningly beautiful

i think she gained more weight this time :x but i love the hair.. its like her hair in her surreal times

She's a woman nearing her thirties...she's not going to young forever. If she looked like she was during the AsfXX era then I would have some serious questioning to do.

You can tell when people start to age, especially entertainers, who actually start to age earlier because of the makeup they put on their skin. If you watch Friends, especially watch Jennifer Aniston (whose age is in par with her character's), she'll begin to show aging around 5th-6th season.

Old? No. She still looks youngish. Just more mature - not like some 15 year old anymore.

i have to agree that ayu looked mroe mature.. but i also have to agree that she did not look THAT gorgeous in the JEWEL performance. everything went wrong. her hairstyle and dress and larger arms.. not trying to say that her hairstyle and dress sucked. but they jus didnt make ayu look prettier.. :(

I actually think, that at the MS performance, she looks a bit younger...I mean, yes, things about her have matured, but, when I saw her...it reminded me of how she looked back in 2003 at the performance of Voyage where she forgot her lyrics...she looks...almost...identical, except, now, her look is more..."tan"? Her skin and hair are both better colors...lol...perhaps it's the way they did her eyeliner...there seems to be...less of it...

I like her look...really does remind me of 2003 era...with the bangs and curls...

yeah, better example. What I was thinking of when I referred to her looking younger, was that...Ayu seemingly hasn't really changed to me...everytime I think she looks older, she jumps back to her "old" self.

For me, her eyes always have a big part in the way she looks too...in these pictures, they seem spot on to now.

I think that recently she looks a lot better with just straight long hair, anything curly makes her look old. You know, she'd probably look a lot nicer if her hair was a lot longer with this hairstyle, kinda like the Voyage era? She'd probably look like how she was then if she had that hairstyle.

People who say she's fat now should just look at old pictures. She's about the same :|

Why everybody is so anal about her weight? I think she looks even better, she's not skinny and not fat at all as of now which is very good. I really liked her new looks, hairstyle, dress and etc. She's just so lovely as always :luv2 And yeah, her style resembles me of SURREAL.

Yeah I did notice that really. Her hair was all frizzy. XD She looked much better during the B&D promotion, even though she still looked great at MS.
