Drift..hmm.. interesting title, but I hope that the music will sound more like her previous stuff, rather than the music she's been making lately.. a song similar to Evolution would be pretty nice

I like the word DRIFT too!! But sounds abit like it's gonna be a sad song !

Ya i also feel that its gonna be a slow song, but since rainbow is a slow song, think Drift may turn out be a fast song like evolution, but really anticipate it man! Wah still got 3 mths to go... very good, than i can save my $$ on ayu stuff other than CDs.

"Drift" does sorta give me the impression that it'll be slow. But I'm still hoping for an upbeat/rock song.

Gee, a new 'evolution' type song would awesome. But I'm afraid Ayu is doing more popish songs and not as many rockish songs. Personally, I would love to see another 'I am...' type song. I love those passion type songs like 'M' and 'Free & Easy'.

its interesting how a lot of people seem desperate for a new "evolution".. personally, this is one of my least favourite ayu songs, sure its quite cool, and its good evidence of her versitality, but im still waiting for sasha to wake up and realise that he was born to remix ayu...
and what about ayu laying her vocal for some drum n bass.. i bet even andy c would be desperate to be playing it first :p

i think "Drift" does sound like a kind of dreamy, balladesque track... it would be cool if there was a trance c/w track like "Connected"...

Thanks for the news! It came out so quick... but I love the title 'Drift' its really nice. But July is such a long wait! But I hope she gets a good rest since she deserves it a lot. Hopefully it'll be a 10-Maxi single too, I kinda miss those. - Team Ayu

i dont know for sure if they have done or not, but when ayu releases a single now i dont think ~i hope theres 10tracks~ i just assume theyll b 4 or whatever because why would avex suddenly revert back to their old strategy? if ayus sales had taken a dramatic drop after not having 10tracks maybe they would have got scared and pushed the tracklist back up to 10, but shes still hitting #1 in oricon and stuff, so they dont have any reason to just change back. but thats only what i think

Well, I agree with the 10 track singles. With Japan's economy in the shape it is, no way Avex is going to spend the money they once were on Ayu's singles.

But the part about Avex not caring, I have to wonder about the time that Ayu-mix III came out and everyone was wanting full versions of the remixes from there. Then Avex released the 'excerpts' collection from Ayu-mix III containing full remixes. Also, there was wonder about Ayu's mysterious nonappearence in the "Endless Sorrow" video, so she filmed a clip of herself to go at the end for the video's release on A Clips 2. If Avex didn't care about fans, I don't think they would have done those things. But maybe Ayu was behind those things. I don't know. I guess that they have to do what they have to do save their business. If the money isn't as strong as it once was, they need to do what's best for the company.

its kind of weird to film a PV without actually appearing in it, and have a member of the opposite sex who coincidentally is a child to mime the vocal...
maybe she just couldnt be bothered to film the PV or something, then when she found out people wanted her to make a cameo in it she did it to repay her fans for the support or something.
but in a way its good because it kind of shows a lack of vanity... dunno if im making sense-

but it does sound like quite a lazy title... like drifting away... "Drift" isnt really an inspirational word to get up and rave hard... but who knows... "Naturally" sounds like a kind of soothing title, but its a pretty mental tune...

yeah, its like u know when ayu released "A" i think this could have stood for amphetamines, because she started going mental and releasing a ****load of products way beyond any other artist... then she released "}{" and this could stand for heroin because now shes calmed down and is taking things easy.
