Rather diverse album compared to m(u) and MY STORY, in terms of composers. Sadly, no CREA.

Keiji Tanabe (kiss o' kill) is a new arranger for Ayu and has arranged for AAA, Ami Suzuki, w-inds. and Kahimi Karie.

immel 21st November 2006 12:40 AM

A little sad that there's no CREA.

Thanks for posting this, I love CMJK.

chocopockymaster 21st November 2006 12:42 AM

Very sad that there's no CREA. ;__; Hopefully we'll see her return to composing soon...

Ayumiko 21st November 2006 12:44 AM

THANK GOD NO GEO!! I wish there was crea...:(

Ryoko 21st November 2006 12:44 AM

Too bad there's no CREA. I like Tetsuya Yukumi, I trust his songs will be good.

immel 21st November 2006 12:46 AM

I wonder if that store made a mistake or something, because I don't think we're supposed to know this just yet, or maybe it's just a matter of hours before the official page gets updated, too.

elepop 21st November 2006 12:47 AM

No CREA... :( It feels empty.

truehappiness 21st November 2006 12:48 AM

I wonder if CREA like, at all had input with the Tetsuya stuff :P

Yeah, that's usually the case lol. I'm sure the information is reliable, j-book has always had this information very early on for most of her prior releases and were always accurate.

zeroshin888 21st November 2006 12:53 AM

Can't believe it!! Absolutely no CREA at all..!! ahhh~ I'm gonna go commit suicide now.............

j/k =)

evolusean 21st November 2006 12:54 AM

Sweet! I love these composers. And the arrangers too! CMJK, HAL + tasuku = eternal love. And HIKARI is back! He/she/they did such a beautiful job with "Moments," I can't wait to see what happens when he/she/they have got the title track of this album in his/her/their hands.

immel 21st November 2006 01:00 AM

I wonder if it's for better or worse that there's no CREA on it. These composers sure are great, and judging from their previous works we can expect quite some awesomeness from this album.

He/she/they ... he/she/they ... his/her/their.
You're just ... hilarious, but still all serious. :D.

Coelacanth 21st November 2006 01:00 AM

Eh, no CREA. Look on the bright side, at least she still writes all the songs. ;)

HIKARI arranged Moments and winding road! =D

I'm not exactly jumping for joy with all the Tetsuya Yukumi compositions. He's alright, but his songs tend to have repetitive melodies and rarely ever a bridge. Oh well, we shall see.

immel 21st November 2006 01:04 AM

That makes me happy, while I love the melody in Moments and overall love that song better the winding road composition is just... wow.

Hahaha! I didn't know what to do! I panicked! :thud

As far as CREA... I think she's risky. On one hand balances a lot of amazing stuff, and on the other is some rather blandly amateurish stuff. I might like to see more of her on the next album, though.

PSYCHEDELICOdust 21st November 2006 01:11 AM

Kinda wish the credits came after the album had been heard. Then we could decide whether CREA was really a disappointment.

jkm444 21st November 2006 01:33 AM

I am disappointed tat there isn't much DAI in this album..

explodingbird 21st November 2006 01:35 AM

No CREA. Well, I expected that, actually. Hey, long as everything else is great, I don't care who composed it. Bring it no!

Think this means we may see a leak? Soon? Please?[/Persistent]

Besides, aside from Startin' (which could grow on me in time), I've heard great songs (four!) from the album so far. I expect the rest to follow this trend.

darkswordz 21st November 2006 01:42 AM

There is alot of Tetsuya's work :D i can trust this album to be a good one :yes

Ayumiko 21st November 2006 02:19 AM

I'm looking forward to the song secret, since tetsuya yukumi composed and HIKARI arranged both walking proud and moments (both my fav songs from my story)

Actually....I'm looking forward to all the album tracks...lol...:D

explodingbird 21st November 2006 02:21 AM

I usually pay little mind to who composes what. H/\L and tasuku are the only two names I really notice, for very obvious reasons, and I don't often remember all of their stuff. Didn't skal have a thread on this? Maybe someone can dig it up for me? (Maybe it can be updated soon too.)

Or maybe I can do the digging... hmm...

Delirium-Zer0 21st November 2006 02:38 AM

No CREA = kinda sad, but lots of Tetsuya Yukumi and other old faves = good, and several new people = also good. I'm REALLY anxious to hear the album!

Kogepan_19 21st November 2006 02:43 AM

It would've been nice to see at least one CREA song, but from what there is right now it's not too bad =).

tokyoxjapanxfan 21st November 2006 03:23 AM

yay for hal! :) i like hal a lot~hehe thanks for this info!

explodingbird 21st November 2006 04:11 AM

And an intro - three interludes, basically. Zomg RAINBOW flashback. Minus two songs.

(Damn thread's eating posts again unless I hit the reply button and scroll down. Stop it, board! BAD AHS!)

cleftjuston 21st November 2006 04:36 AM

oh yes! HAL!

mishidabo 21st November 2006 04:46 AM

ok so the 2 interludes are Labyrinth and taskinst.. i must say i'm glad of this.. since the cool names are full songs ^_^

raspberrygashes 21st November 2006 04:47 AM

Tsunku, eh? He did some composing for her during her debut, right?

Sad there's no CREA, but I'll look forward to the album anyway.

SunshineSlayer 21st November 2006 04:50 AM

I'm sad that there is no CREA, but I wasn't expecting there to be. I'm happy to see some brand new composers and arrangers though!

I think you mean tasuku, not Tsunku. :) Tsunku composed one song for her early on, but tasuku is a totally different person.

ohsixthirty 21st November 2006 05:16 AM

haha, omg, if tsunku was composing for her... :laugh

explodingbird 21st November 2006 05:23 AM

Lemme guess. tsunku = NOTHING FROM NOTHING.

truehappiness 21st November 2006 05:32 AM

No.

tsunku worked with Ayu on LOVE~destiny~/~since1999~/~refrain~..

And that was it. LOL

explodingbird 21st November 2006 05:34 AM

Ahh. The OTHER trilogy.

Hell, just GET THE NOTHING FROM NOTHING PEOPLE. It'd be AWESOME.

realize_! 21st November 2006 05:47 AM

Interesting^^ Also a little sad that there's no CREA :( but, oh well

PSYCHEDELICOdust 21st November 2006 05:59 AM

Tsunku should compose for her again.

It'd be good stuff :o

evolusean 21st November 2006 06:01 AM

tasuku is 遠山 輔 Tooyama Tasuku, a producer for tearbridge production.

つんく♂ Tsunku is 寺田光男 Terada Mitsuo, a producer for TNX, and the man behind Morning Musume.

Axel_Grease 21st November 2006 06:06 AM

Sad that there's no CREA. ;_; But CMJK! :D

x3 And the anticipation grows even further now.

alternarist 21st November 2006 06:16 AM

oh well no CREA. but i bet the album will be as good as ever!! :D thanks for the info! :)

PrincessAyu 21st November 2006 06:18 AM

That tetsuya did lots of songs. Which older songs did he compose/arrange? O_O XD I can't wait for this album. I never anticipated an Ayu release so much. I just love JEWEL.

Raleigh 21st November 2006 06:32 AM

No CREA? Such a pity =/

truehappiness 21st November 2006 06:34 AM

Tetsuya has only composed for Ayu so far.

She found him via the song 'Kumo' which would become Memorial address~ [she used the same composition from his band LOVERS SOUNDTRACK]~

So it's:
Memorial address
ANGEL'S SONG
Moments
INSPIRE
walking proud
HAPPY ENDING
HOPE or PAIN
HONEY
(miss)understood

:D

explodingbird 21st November 2006 06:41 AM

And now add JEWEL, momentum, kiss o' kill, and Secret. Two ballads, two rock songs. Hmmm. He also composed both "winter" songs on here (ballad, rock song). Neat.

Qt Mashi 21st November 2006 06:49 AM

i relli like DAI and Crea.... :(

Tasked 21st November 2006 06:52 AM

tetsuya yukumi + HIKARI = Moments... so Secret might be similar =).. Anyway how cool to see new people in the list

truehappiness 21st November 2006 06:52 AM

I imagine that they turned to Tetsuya in the time of need for their new songs.

He probably had a bunch of songs stored away and he probably let Ayu hear a bit of each of them so she could choose.. :P

He's one of the newest composers that's been accepted into the "ayu regulars" in composing.. :P

HanabiChick 21st November 2006 09:41 AM

Nice, I'm relieved that the rest of the new songs aren't CMJK arrangements. I like his compositions, but the arranging he's done on the songs this year hasn't been great, though I am interested to see how he does with arrangements by himself.

AyuGAME 21st November 2006 10:34 AM

thx for the info
i love that she back to her root...working with japanese people
i love tetsuya yukumi...

But none of the new album tracks will even be remotely similar to what's previously been released this year, considering all of it will be rock, not counting Secret. But yeah, there's all reasons to keep good hopes about it being good :).

*Petit* 21st November 2006 06:39 PM

Well, immel, fans have strange conceptions of "rock". BOth MY STORY and I am... has been describes as "rock". I doubt that all of the songs on the album will be like alterna and about you.

immel 21st November 2006 06:46 PM

I believe those two albums was considered rock albums because they, at least MY STORY, contained a noticeable number of rock songs, which was pretty new for Ayu at the time.

I agree that neither of the two albums you mentioned is "rock" albums, but out of all Ayumis albums I believe MY STORY would be the one with the most rock influence.

I don't think all the songs will be that way either, she is good at keeping it fresh. I have good hopes about that the songs will be good.

Out of that list of songs he done, I like all of them except angel's song and honey..hope the new songs will be something like moments, walking proud, memorial address and (miss)understood :love

*Petit* 21st November 2006 07:04 PM

What I find strange about those characterizations of those albums are that f.ex. MY STORY probably had least number of pure rock songs on it than any of her pre I am... albums. Hardly any of the songs of that album sounds very much like rock to me, perhaps only GAME (synth rock..? =P), humming, about you and even catcher in the light. The ballad section was hardly "rockish" to me, it was dark and all, but not rock. I am... I felt was more like a blend of virtually everything, except for the title track and flower garden there are hardly any songs I would consider rock. She had just the same amount of "rock songs" on duty, (m) u, and perhaps also RAINBOW and even memorial address. It's just that the overall feel of the albums are different. At least that's how I see it.

I think the songs you mentioned are all very much rock songs, I'd like to add Liar as a rock ballad, too. She's made rock songs in the past, but it's never been of the same pure modern-ish rock sound, like she's having now, in them, thinking of the drums and electric guitars.

I agree very much on the "blend of virtually everything", that is what I would describe a lot of her songs like, and that is also what the genre pop is trying to cover.

I agree on this, especially the very last part. It's up to how everyone see it, unless you're to do an objective scientific study on the albums.

Ava 21st November 2006 08:28 PM

no CREA? -.-'' OMG! but... well, i think it's okay

nodoka 21st November 2006 09:10 PM

Too bad there's no CREA on this one...I was really hoping that there would be.

mi|kshake 21st November 2006 09:59 PM

It's cool to see a new composer! But no CREA!! At least couldn't we have one song with co-composed by CREA, like Will?

mi|kshake~

Ayumiko 21st November 2006 11:19 PM

I have a feeling will was done a while ago and ayu just decided to use it last year

That's an interesting thought, and very possible. I actually think that is how it is.

She often (always?) gets the compositions first, and then writes the lyrics. She might have made the composition for Will a very long time ago, and written lyrics now.

pbs1605 22nd November 2006 02:53 AM

Thanks for the info.

norain 22nd November 2006 02:58 AM

I say the 2 bonus tracks that's available for christmas will be CREA, or...I hope

truehappiness 22nd November 2006 03:01 AM

That's still just a rumor. :\

paperbag 22nd November 2006 04:51 AM

No CREA? I'm incredibly disapointed with Ayu. Couldn't she just try to compose at least ONE song?! :(

truehappiness 22nd November 2006 04:55 AM

I bet she TRIED, but she was like "Nah, this won't fit. -throws into fireplace-".

Well..she was under a deadline and enormous pressure when she released "I am.." and still managed to compose. I guess Ayu is too busy going to fairyland or dancing with shirtless men on the beach :grumpy

truehappiness 22nd November 2006 05:00 AM

She dances with shirtless girls on the beach :P And the guys kinda just do whatever.

Raleigh 22nd November 2006 05:30 AM

I'm sure she just was too busy to compose herself. Anyhow as long as the songs are good I'm happy :P

Psh, she can't take a vacation. She's Ayumi Hamasaki. :yes

truehappiness 22nd November 2006 06:34 AM

She can, but then the world stops in the process :<

paperbag 22nd November 2006 06:36 AM

As if Ayumi Hamasaki is the center of the universe :laugh

Queen Bee 22nd November 2006 02:45 PM

I'm kinda sad that there is no CREA but it's okay. I'm really surprised to see H/\L, it's seemed like it's been forever since they composed anything for Ayu.

Yukitora 22nd November 2006 03:22 PM

I'm fine with the lack of CREA... she hasn't released any nice songs since I am... I mean, Winding Road is nice and all, but it doesnt even compare to evolution, M or dearest...

CREA + DAI however :(

Exactly my point, guys weren't shirtless... >_>

I think just composers' names don't mean much... a composer can make a good song just as well as a screwed one...

etheruraura 22nd November 2006 06:46 PM

I'm fine with no CREA. There was no CREA on LOVEppears or Duty, and those are fantastic albums. I think people forget that.

explodingbird 22nd November 2006 06:48 PM

Eww, LOVEppears, but... yeah, the majority seems to love it, and a lot of people like Duty.

But there was only one CREA song on (miss)understood and it wasn't even the best song on a really awesome album.

Mirai Noah 22nd November 2006 07:02 PM

I'm also sad there isn't any CREA. But I do like the other composers/arrangers.

immel 22nd November 2006 07:58 PM

I must say I that the CREA songs isn't my favorites, but they got extra charm considering it was Ayu doing them :).

The whole point of CREA is that it's Ayu doing it, for us.

I don't know which or what I prefer, I'm confident Secret will rock, though.

You forgot "A Song for XX" that didn't have CREA. =P But oh well, CREA will make a come back next year (I hope)! :yes

freedreamer 23rd November 2006 02:22 PM

im fine with that actually, song that matters...

I wonder. I'm thinking the CREA time might be over, unless she gets a sudden influx of composingness. She had her period, and has been saying good bye to it slowly but deliberately.

Yukitora 25th November 2006 04:55 PM

^nah, I think it's more of a "I need to do this" sort of thing. Like, recently she's just having fun, and times haven't really been calling for an emotional, personal song. Or is that what you're saying? :P

Ayu's approaching menopause?

*Petit* 25th November 2006 05:39 PM

I hate to say this but to me it seems like it was partly (perhaps not for her first compositions, but when they noticed that they were ok) AVEX saying "you have to do it). Remember this was around the time she was in heavy competition with Utada and that she still wasen't in complete control of her career (A BEST).
