this is old news though...when the gay bar thing first happened they said utada hikaru was there i believe? can anyone else confirm that?

and the fact that ayumi at least was at the gay bar is practicaly 100% for sure as far as i know.

the purpose is to have fun. having fun doesn't mean that guys have to hit on them, i'd say actually they probably like knowing that they're not going to be hit on, plus ayumi and utada are already both in relationships.

Err. Gay bars aren't exclusive to gay men. Straight women, men can all go and have a good time. I'm a girl and I go to gay bars. It's not about attracting people, it's about having fun and meeting new people.

And Ayu going to a gay bar is not unusual. She has been there plenty of times and she had even admitted going to gay bars, which is a good thing because we have something in common!

Whether this is true or not, it's interesting to hear. I mean, while attending a gay bar doesn't necessarily dictate that you are in support of that sexuality, I can't see anyone blatantly against it visiting one. So, I would assume that both Ayu and Hikki are pretty fine with it. That's news enough to me, actually being a gay :)

This article was actually published in Japan and people claimed pictures of them in the gay bar were taken. The article is translated in the Chinese language Singtao newspaper as well.

This is really sweet news! I could just see Ayu and Hikki laughing and having a good time. I remember hearing things and seeing photos from papers a while ago about Ayu and gay bars. Maybe they should add Kumi to the mix? But I don't think I'd like it that much if they did...

Im a gay guy and have been to the gay area of bars and clubs while on holiday in Tokyo.. I never knew utada also liked to go to gay bars!! one of my friends who is japanese has a coworker who saw ayumi one night when he was out clubbing.. she was drinking in the bar with friends and he said everyone had a great time.. she even did a karaoke of boys and girls which everyone loved!! i was so jealous when he told me that story!! So everytime i went back i kept an eye out for ayu lol but ofcourse it would just be really lucky to b in same place at same time.. oh well i can only hope next time!

well, i remember some time back that news came out that ayumi got really trashed at a gay bar and had to be basically carried out by her bodyguards. it was complete with some pretty poor quality pictures, but the following day or so ayumi herself made a public announcement telling her fans not to worry about her and that she was ok. aside from that, if you look at pictures of ayumi, you'll see that she is quite often holding an alcoholic drink. there were also a bunch of beer cans behind her in a pic in either off my day or on my way.

^ there are backstage shots of Ayu drinking... the AT05 one... they have a party and Ayu does this 'cheers' thing or whatever... anyway, you can see her/them drinking that tea-like-looking thing (beer? except it's in glasses, so dunno...)
