How does Ayu change hairstyle so quickly during tours?
 

During Ayu's tours, how does she change her hair so fast?
She can't be wearing a wig ALL the time, and not when her hair is pulled-back like in a ponytail or something, or can she? O.o

I think she's wearing hair extensions..

But still how would they put them in so fast, my gosh...
Is it possible to put hair extensions in someone's hair in like 2 or 3 minutes? O.O
If so then that's crazy, and I want some of those hair extentions, unless it's gonna make me bald. e.e

well, they have those really long interludes for a reason =D

Look at the CountDown Live 2004~2005 as an exemple :

1. She has short hair for MY STORY :

I think it's the only live where she used BOTH Extension & Wig, because Arena Tour 2003~2004 had just wigs on ourselves and No way to say, the a-Museum for Poker Face's medley and forgiveness, (miss)understood tour for Bold & Delicous, Arena Tour 2002 for Free & Easy and I am..., and finally Dome Tour for SEASONS, A Song for XX & Vogue =)

So yay, at least two wigs for each tour [MY STORY TOUR didn't have any ?? O__o]

I dont think in CDL 04-05 that she used many extensions, she had like a corn row thing going on and then left the back of her head just long. Throughout different songs all she did was tie it up differently like in a bun or something. It worked really well because she also wore alot of hats during this CDL.

Yeah she often has her natural hair in corn rows so that wigs will go on easily and quickly.

i saw the backstage DVD where ayu was laughing like crazy when she saw one of the dancer's hair was being styled up..
her hair was so short..

Just imagine her taking her hat off and throwing it in the audience like she did during Boys&girls on CDL02-03 - only to discover that the wig flew away with it... :thud

Her hair's always so different I start to wonder which style is her real hair.

Usually backstage there are tons of people helping out with outfits and hairstyles/wigs. Everybody (including Ayu) must work fast. She can't worry about covering up herself (hopefully she's got straight females to change her clothes). No, I TOTALLY take that back! It sounds sexist!

Fortunately, Ayu is creative and uses SO many outfits and hairstyles. It's exciting to see what she'll be wearing from one song to the next.
Unlike some American artists whom I dislike but shall not mention who try to look like they have awesome outfits, stage designs, and hairstyles.
Ayu's performances always seem to tell a little story. I look at the artist I don't like and think, "Oh, but you haven't seen Ayu's!" xD

Her longest is probably from B&D until the beginning of BLUE BIRD promotion [before it got redyed]

^In Kanariya PV you mean Ayu with the long black hair? I always thought that she was wearing hair extensions - Ayu always cuts her hair short - it's more easier I guess and you can wear extensions and have different styles
I think Ayu mentioned somewhere that she tries to grow her hair long but at the end of the year she just cuts it off

I don't know if it's mean or anything, but I'd be interested in seeing how Ayumi would react if she fell down the same way she did in A MUSEUM, but along with her, her wig would come off and someone behind her would step on it. :P

I think some of the outfits with hats actually have the hair stuck in it. XDDD Maybe that helps make outfit changes faster?

I'll never forget, I was in Filene's with my mom one time shopping and there was this older lady who worked there (50-ish?) Her hair was black and peppered, and it was DRAGGING BEHIND HER 4 FEET ON THE FLOOR. She told me she had never gotten a major haircut in her whole life. xD

its very easy to deal with hair during concerts. in Arena tour 2005, ayu bundled up her hair for HAPPY ENDING, den tied it up for INSPIRE. let it down from GAME till About You. From Moments onwards, i bet her hair was bundled up such that for CAROLS, ayu jus uses a wig and a hat. and after CAROLS, she jus needa put the pink feathers for HONEY.

and for Arena tour 2006, ayu didnt do anything to her hair except putting the red wig for Startin'.

The darker hair underneath her blond-ish hair is extensions.

Sometimes, Ayu uses wigs during tours for different hair style.
It's easily to notice that, usually comes with a hat or the texture and colour are a bit different from the real hair.

i am sure she uses wigs. especially in scenes where she wears a hat or someother kind of hair accessory.

That she uses wigs isn't exactly something she hides, you can see it a lot in behind the scenes or making of PV's.

Wigs, of course, she cant change them so fast.

Not like she has 101 hairdresses waiting for her.

She probably has, but all they do is put on a wig.

I think that at some point during her career, she has had 101 hairdressers waiting for her..
