Humming 7/4 is much better than Daybreak I think...

what? they took daybreak out and replaced it with humming 7/4? bad move. i like humming 7/4, but i like daybreak a lot better, especially for a best album.

OMG!, I thought Daybreak was still on there until I took a second look, now I'm mad!!!, Daybreak deserves to be on there as much and Humming 7/4, and as much as I love H7/4, I'd rather see one of her most memorable ballads imo on her BEST!!!

Hmm I have to say that I'm slightly disappointed with the tracklistings. Not the actual chosen tracks, well besides the switch of "Humming 7/4" and "Daybreak", but the arrangement of the tracks is horrible.

I really love all of Ayu's rock tracks but I really don't know if I had handle listening to all of them back to back. I'm also iffy with the "Humming 7/4" and "UNITE!" combo, the Real me/my name's WOMEN combo, and the fairyland/July 1st combo. I just think the tracks should have been spread out more evenly then just grouping similar tracks together. It seems like not much thought was put into organizing her second best-of album, which is a HUGE deal.

Now that I think about it, I wish she had waited for her 10th anniversary to put this album out with a lot more thought put into it. Hmm it's not clear if any of the tracks have been remixed or redone but it doesn't seem like there is going to be any redone tracks, which is really disappointing and a big let down comparing this album to her past ones. Not even one bonus track is going to compensate for what this best-of is lacking so far.

Hmmm I hope avex changes things up a bit.

Come to think of it, did they advertise the redone tracks for A BEST? I didn't really follow Ayu until around evolution, so I don't remember how they went about it last time around. I hope a few songs are at least re-arranged. Nothing on this collection has necessarily bad vocals (unlike A BEST, which had the A Song for xx stuff), but it would be a welcomed change to hear these classics re-vamped a bit.

I think the only reason they put Humming in was because it's very popular, unlike Daybreak.

Judging from the posts here about A BALLADS [at AHS in general] , it doesn't seem like it was advertised[was it?] that songs like Who.., A Song for XX, and YOU got redone.. right?

thks for the info!! they added Humming 7/4 instead of daybreak? well personally I prefer Humming 7/4. So now I can't make up my mind on which version. My fav songs are all over the place, some in Black and some in White.

So now only left with the covers!! hope the covers are nice!! ^^

i don't think daybrak is not popular, indeed this song had a ot of promotion in hong kong and was used to promote uraayu, too... it was a full single, yes, those real singles of 10 tracks *sniff*...

Tracklist is utter sadness. So many singles to choose from, and it becomes unexpected songs. Dearest? I mean...okay...but that's old man...daybreak? the #2 hit? Aww...I really enjoy the song. Oh well, big big sales ayumi, I hope for you, Utada's singles collection did amazing, and you must do even more azmaing

You do know that just about every single's main track since evolution made it, except forgiveness and B&D? [the 2nd and 3rd c/w tracks of 2005 don't really count either, were ignored like woah during promotion..]

Daybreak doesn't necessarily count as a single, since it was a recut from I am...

Yeah, and Will might finally get a PV with pigs flying.

Hopefully the flash is just indicating the kind of typeface they want to go with for A BEST 2, but a grungy Ayu photoshoot would probably be nice for BLACK..

damn , daybreak disappeared, and humming is back. but i was surprised that in the original tracklist, humming was absent. humming is a popular track among concert goers since it wwas never unsung in any concert since it was released, while daybreak was sung only once in her concerts (arena tour, i think). i personally wish humming wasnt here since my "My story" album would already be a little useless (the only songs i liked there were the tracks which had pvs, basically everything in a best 2 :(

also... My story has the most tracks here? i like the tracks, but it seems rather unfair to the higher sellers such as I am and Rainbow. I mean, I am is like her 3rd highest selling studio album and rainbow is 4th. she could've at least placed Daybreak here. Tracks which had tie-ins from her career peak could've also been placed as well (Heartplace, everywhere nowhere, We Wish, Naturally (my love...), still alone, no more words... any one of these) and she could've dropped walking proud or about you (both songs i love, but i anticipated that one of these won't be here given that My story isn't really her peak already). O well. But Im fine with the tracklist already.

I'm pretty OK with this tracklist, it's even better to kick out fairyland,ourselves and Greatful days (I HATED Greatful days).

i like Black better, perhaps it'll sell better than the White??

I think they looked for as many album tracks with promotional videos as they could [only one without a PV is like, a song is born.]

I am really surprised that B&D and Pride are not on her. It would make sense to at lest put B&D on here. Ayu and Avex probably think that sense it didn't sale well it would bring down the sales of these.

That's the worst move ever. I'm definitely not getting it now. I love Daybreak to bits. And I hate Humming 7/4 the most of all Ayu songs, more than Dearest. :grumpy This is dissapointing.
And that's probably true too. :( I guess it's only natural to pick popularity over quality if they're making a BEST album.

Just accept the tracklisting and move along, you always have the opportunity to shuffle tracks if you don't like it.

No, I hate to skip tracks. Plus bad tracks sort of ruin the album. It's all perfect and then a big stumbling block pushes you down and steamrolls you. In this case, Humming 7/4 or Dearest.

Let's see if the PV for the new song is worth watching. =/ Or I'll skip CD+DVD and just get the CD only. This is severely dissapointing.

Plus most of us already have the albums from Duty onwards.

yeah. i dont like skipping tracks. i love albums wherein you can listen to it continuously, since all tracks are good. and i love albums even more if the transitions between songs are well done and the order of tracks are good (which ayu is almost always good at imo).
BTW you should watch ayu's concerts! some performances takes a song to a whole new level! (memorial address=wow, b&d lives makes the song a little more fun) though there are exceptions (ladies night song = wow, perf = bad).
I would love to see the DVD version of the CDL, which would surely be an improvement over the tv version (it was good, but could've been better vocally).

I like the A BEST BLACK tracklist more - I'm also waiting for the covers - I hope that they are beautifull!!

actually A song is born should be there (as long as it's the duet version, not the album version). Since ayu sings this song w/ her idol, she will love to put this song inside... :P

I love Humming 7/4! It's so fun to sing aloud. There are some songs I would have included (like Bold & Delicious *is shot* and alterna) and some songs I would have rather not seen (like fairyland), but overall, I like the tracklists. Thanks for posting them.

well the only thing i hate is that they took off Daybreak. If they didn't put it on the mumo.net tracklist in the beginning probly I wouldn't be that disappointed. The point is even it's an album cut and even it's only no. 2, ayu still chose to release it as a single. (why people say it's a curse?? it's only 300,000 limited edition album-cut single, do you expect it could get no. 1 back then?)

On the other hand.. Humming is just a blend album song... yeah, fun to hear "everybody go every jump", but it's getting annoying... :P

I kind of agree with Taishaku but on the other hand people are going to buy this and if you're going to by something so generic as a best album, the track list is really important. It's not like we're dealing with new songs you can get used to. These are songs you know you love or hate.

im also disappointed about Daybreak not being on there...i seriously can't stand Humming 7/4...ahh well, its not like the album isn't worth it because of Daybreak's absence...lol most people are hoping for beautiful covers...watch black be a black background with a white A symbol that says A BEST 2 : Black in white, and white be a white backgroun with a black A symbol that says A BEST 2 : White in black...just like negatives

Plus, there's the fact that it was all like, at the Aichi Expo in orchestra version as well as being featured in MY STORY Classical.

Hopefully the version on the best is the classical one with vocals! :D

i think the tracklists are fine. i wanted Daybreak on there instead of Humming 7/4, but it fits the -WHITE- tracklisting. it's a fun song nevertheless. :)

I'm not so excited about this album. I don't know why. I kinda wish it was just A BEST 2 - BLACK & WHITE instead of having to buy them separately.

Originally I planned to buy both, but now I realize that would mean spending way too much money for a bunch of stuff I already have...I don't really care about the CDL, because from the bits I saw of it, her vocals were awful.

Wow, excellent tracklistings! I was actually right on a number of my predictions, lol. I'm glad she's putting "GAME" on -BLACK-; I've seen so many fans who think that it's a happy song, and this'll make them actually go read translations, lol :X

Avex and Ayu are geniuses, because their marketing strategy is working. I really, really seeing myself buying both -BLACK- and -WHITE-. It's expensive, but from the looks of it, it'll be well worth it! ♥ (And I'm jumping for joy that "walking proud" is going to be on there; that song is much too underrated! XD)

I am alright with the tracklist. Even if the arrangment of the songs are going to be the same, I still wish Ayumi would re-sung them for the best albums. It would be nice to hear the songs in her current voice and also perhaps make the past songs even nicer to hear. For example: "A Song is born". It was far too shrieky in I am....

The 'Color case' first press bonus should mean it's gonna come packaged in an opaque jewel case that's coloured depending on what version you get.

The tracklist just made me decide which version I pre-order tomorrow, -BLACK-.
I guess I'll have to wait for the overseas version to be released to get -WHITE-.

While Listening to BLACK..i realized EndlesSorrow+BoY was sung together in CDL0506 so maybe thats why they put it together again..anyway, it flows well..
