Well, since she seems to be doing different songs at each show, we might as well document them in one place. [hopefully this is as efficient as the Morning Musume TV appearances thread at JPM..]


At HEYx3, it was said that she performed Dearest during the recording.

And at SMAPxSMAP, it was rumored that she was to perform four songs:
part of Me, Dearest, independent, and NEVER EVER.

Finally, at MUSIC STATION, it has been posted that she will be performing evolution. They are really going for variety this time around.

It makes me wonder if she's even going to be promoting part of Me..

Also, this makes me think that they're trying to perhaps, drive up sales of previously released singles with such promotion..

Well this is a best album, and I don't particularly think it would be good to be promoting a new song... I think it's safe to just promote the songs that we all love (Eg. evolution, Dearest, etc)

Yes, but usually the newer song takes priority over the others..

RAINBOW was performed a few times [at Music Fair, and so on..], more times than A Song for XX was performed to promote A BALLADS..

Oh... Well I wouldn't know... But I think it's much safer this way... They seem to be going to so much trouble with all this promotion.

Possibly. If that was the case though you'd think she'd do the songs that are rarely performed on tours and such (evolution, NEVER EVER and Independent have probably been performed enough times for the old singles to have been bought by who wants them).

If she did just perform part of Me, then that wouldn't really help the sales of WHITE.
The variation is quite good. Because the albums not re-recorded it would be good if she performed the likes of Real Me and such.

Yes, but people who see her on tour would probably already HAVE the older singles, whereas if she performs on TV, the songs she performs might be promoted just a bit more..

Reminds me of Kouhaku and this one Enka guy whose total sales went from 30k, to around 300k in a few weeks after Kouhaku...

And there's a mini campaign out there to get the remaining 45k left for evolution to become a million seller..

I wonder if that will work.

i am fine with the idea of performing old songs to promote A BEST 2. but pls choose songs that are only performed a few times. i have seen enough of evolution since DT 2001. OMFG!

im pretty sure..she might re record those that she will sing..at least i hope so

I think it's a good idea to sing old songs, because people won't buy A BEST 2 because of part of me... I can't wait until Friday comes!! I love evolution <3

It's only natural that she is performing old songs - this is a greatest hits album and people in the general public are going to be buying it for the old hits. Part of Me is only there to make sure that the fans who have already bought all of her previous albums will buy A Best Black as well. (because the fans will already be buying A Best White in order to get the concert) And I doubt this will help old single sales, you can't even find them on the shelves at most record stores anymore.

Yeah, that's the third time it's changed now. I think we'll just have to wait and see what actually airs. :)

Edit: Looks like she will be performing Unite and Voyage. This weeks SXS episode showed a short clip w/ those two songs. There may be more that get performed as well, but those were the two previewed.
