New Styles
 

Initiates:

Three new styles are now available in the user cp! They are called Orbitz, Platinum, and ravioskinBLUE. There are two versions for Orbitz, one that is fixed and one that expands to fit the entire screen. Platinum is an expanded one. The expanded versions are best for those with higher resolutions, or whoever wants the style to fit the whole screen. ravioskinBLUE is a fixed version. Several new styles will be added soon. If you have any feedback, post it here! Thanks for your time.

The orbitz skin is cool. Its more compact and it makes it easier for me to find stuff on the site. I usually use the rainbow skin but I might have to start using this new skin. Thanx!

whoa! VERY nice, zef!!How long did it take you to make this? It's really nice... maybe ever better than the previous styles :P.. the silverish looks of those... now that's what I'm talking about :D !! And here I was thinking there would be no new layouts til VB3.. go figure :roflmao

btw, if you'd like, I can tell you how to add such things as the quick reply and stats for those styles, so if interested, just give me an IM and I'll see how I can help :).

Right now I'm using ravioskinBLUE and it is my favorite out of all of the Styes that have ever graced AHS.

i am using that too!! ^5 Trinity.... but lack of shortcut typing meaning u type the sentence below and able to submit immediately rather than the clicking on the post reply....

This is one of THE best yet! (ekko) .. very futuristic (which is a plus for me..lol), and if it had such things as the Quick Reply, Stats, etc ... this would get my "seal of approval" :thumbsup

btw, these styles must be costing quite a bit :eek

I still have the information you gave me to add the quick reply feature! I just finished putting it in to the ekko style. I'm going to put it in the rest of the styles also. Thanks alot for the code!

ahh... well.... that day when I was telling u the code... I never got a chance to tell you how to finish it, since you usually seem to go offline wihout notice :P

In the "showthread" template add $replybox right after the following:

Top 5 stats:

Since most of the "dirty work" was done by me a while ago, to add this will take all but a minute or 2 :)

1. open an existing style like "rainbow" in the CP and copy the code in the template that says "hl_statistics"

2. go to the styles without the stats and make a new template called hl_statistics with the code from the previous one

3. In tthe forumhome, add this wherever you'd like (preferably on the bottom):

$top5threadstats

That's it!

I think this ekko style is fine for now... man... I really like this one! It's almost as good as the style they use at http://www.yaxay.com ... the designers of that site have way too much time on their hands :trout

How do you make layouts????

It depends... there are 2 ways to do that:

1. Make your own, a long and, at times, hard process, depending on how "professional" you want it to look (i.e. adding fancy graphics, features, etc.) But some of the old styles here aren't too hard to make.
2. Use a pre-made style, like the ekko or orbitz styles recently added. After uploading the images needed and the vbulletin.style file, that's all you need :thumbsup
