[NEWS] Ayu's Teddy Bear Sits First Class
 

Chinese media news!

The Japanese media reports that when Hamasaki Ayumi travels overseas, she must bring her beloved teddy bear along, and she will also bring her own blanket, pillow. No wonder she needs 120 cases for her Asia tour.

Japan's Josei Weekly reports that Ayu's diva behaviour can be written into a book 'Ayu's Diva Stories'! Ayu likes to hug her teddy bear to sleep, and she always bring her own blanket, pillow, shampoo, hair brushes etc along, she will never use the what the hotel provides.

She also likes to sit at the very first row of the first class seats, and nobody is to sit beside her, so that she can put her teddy bear. If she wants to go to the loo, her staff will immediately block the toilet, clean it up, and escort her in.

The report also says that once, when she went to Hong Kong for a photoshoot, she forgot to bring her favourite jeans. She actually sent her staff all the way back to Japan to bring it back! If one counts the air tickets to and fro, she can actually buy a few pairs of new jeans! But Ayu said 'It's not about the money!' And in the end, she didn't wear the jeans.

:::I think josei weekly is exaggerating..come on, Ｉ　always bring my own daily basic necessities overseas too. am i a diva then?! and bear in mind all these are RUMOURS from josei weekly - which has quite a lot of crap about celebrities in my opinion.:::

That must be the news article my friend was talking about!!! It was talking about such things. But at the end of the article it said "but we can forgive her since she's a diva". I'd have to find that issue, LOL. I should start looking at hair salons, they usually have such magazines there!

Well, if i slept with a teddy bear.. and I could afford it.. it would get its own seat too.
and I always bring my own shampoo, soap, hairbrush, towel and blanket with me. o.O I guess I'm a diva! lol.. I just like my own soap and shampoo, and my own hairbrush.. my own towels (because I know what happenes to em.. and because i use my favorite type of washing soap), and my blanket.. because it's snuggly and soft and travelable.. *shrugs*

Most athletes bring their own food, bedspreads, personal items with them, in order to minimize the chance of something going wrong. I don't see why Ayumi can't do that.
Her other habits (sitting in front with her teddy, having her people clean the toilet) are nothing way out of ordinary. If all of that is possible, why not use the opportunities?

Doubtful she's exagerrating. Once you've hit $400M, pretty much the same things are possible as with $3B - that is to say, anything. Not to mention it's most likely coming out of Avex's expense account, not her own.

For someone who's on her level and critiqued 24/7 in every picture taken of her, damn straight I'd want the correct jeans. I say, good for her.

I wouldn't be sure when it comes to these specific examples with detailed circumstances they describe, but these kind of things, it definately sounds like her. You can tell it by the look in her eyes, the way she feels on the set, the way she talks to people.... I'm sure she is capable of sending people overseas to get something she forgot, or doing other expensive decisions just for the sake of some detail...

I don't know, but it just seems like they're just exaggerating details? Maybe it's true, maybe it's not I don't know, but I'm inclined to believe that it isn't true. Tabloids, especially chinese tabloids always blow things out of proportion, so yup, I can't really trust on that.

To me I would say yes she is a diva, but not in the western sense with
all the negative meanings connected to 'prima donna'. I would say she is a
real 'artist' with all the connotation of a person whose creative work shows sensitivity and imagination. Just like the quirks and oddities of great painters,
sculpture, and artists of the past. :D

I don't think she bought a ticket for it, I think it was more, they bought a section of the plane for the trip she does have to bring an unusual amount of people...it isn't that amazing that her bear got it's own seat...

And honestly, there's nothing wrong bringing your own pillow, blanket and teddy bear. I do the same when I go to NYC! And I also use my own hairbrush, towel, shampoo and all. I don't see what's wrong with that.

Hmm, I can't help but think of the song "teddy bear". If I remember right, in the lyrics, it says that she received a teddy bear in place of the "someone important" who should have been next to her. Maybe being closer to the teddy, brings her closer to her dad.
