So many tracks from 2006 nominated for 2007 awards. hrm. this is why, JPN Music Video Awards should be awarded in the fall, give all these artists time to pimp up new PVs.

OMG: Fergie: London Bridge was nominated for like everything. Come on, its not that good. Even Fergalicious was better than that (that's saying something)

It still amazes me that non-Japanese artist continue to dominate these charts. It's amazing if there is three or more Japanese artist in one category up there, which is pretty rare.

and im with Panda87, you dont see japanese artsist in MTV in the US. thats kinda lame as hell. You should limit it to just that region.

I'm usually not the one to make the biggest biased fan reactions I think (or hope at least), but erm.. Ayumi's videos are always pretty darn good. I don't see why on earth she's not even there. Her videos are only getting better (mostly) and even if the videos from the singles weren't amazing, she more than made up for it with JEWEL, momentum and part of me. O.o And Fergie's London Bridge!? :o oh well, it's MTV. She was nominated for fairyland out of ever other video she released that year :rolleyes .

Shirushi better get best video of the year.

It did for the SSTV awards.. if that Koda-video gets it.. what the HECK. :|

MTV is biased. Thats why no one really cares about them anymore. Like back in the 80's early 90's they were awsome cause they actually PLAYED MUSIC VIDEOS for one thing, and they were just about the music, but nowadays they dont really go for the best, they just go for whats hot. Fergie? seriously, dont make me laugh, i know theres alot better music out there, its just what appeals to the masses...

^that's exactly the reason why I don't watch MTV that much anymore. Too many reality shows/ crap stuff, and no music. :/

It doesn't surprise me to see so many American artists in the nominations... i mean the European VMA's are always dominated by US acts aswell :(

Are these even based on music videos at all? It seems like popularity with the artist or song rather than the music video. Some of these music videos are terrible. :/

They should do what the Latin America MTV does, nominate people from the region and make a few categories for international acts, that way, the latinos don't get put against the more popular american artists... not that the latinamerican MTV awards are great or anything...

But I'm so glad to see "Black Cherry" nominated for Album of the year, it really is a great album. But no Ayumi? it's really unfair, to me, she deserved at least being nominated for best video for "JEWEL" and "part of Me" and album of the year for "Secret"

What's the whole point of having an Asian MTV award if it's going to be dominated by American Artists?

But MTV isn't good nowadays anyways. And out of all Koda Kumi music videos, Yume no Uta? not her best this year IMO.

I've lost all faith in mtv.

In Brazil (here it's called VMB - Video Music Brasil), the nominees are only Brazilian. There's a category called "Best International Video" that only international songs are nominated.. It should be the same for Japan as well =/

I don't think Ne-Yo or MCR are unpopular over there. When MCR was announced that they were nominated for Best Rock, going up against Ellegarden and AKFG, the fans were screaming over MCR not the other guys.

But overall i ffound the show pretty boring. I hate most of the performances there, like DJ Ozma and the other J-R&B/Rap artists. It was pretty much a R&B and Rap dominated show unfortunately.

I was also pissed that Hikki or B'z weren't nominated for anything.

Seriously I dont think Ayaka's very good to be there. Koda's Black Cherry is not my taste, then I guess i have weird taste to star twith.
