AT 07 = AT 05?!!
 

I dunno if someone has posted about this but...

I've been updating pictures and pictures about AT 2007, but the more I go depth into that, the more I realize that It really looked like AT 05.

And my sisyter said that...

OK, points about that...
1. The stage..do you recognize that stage?? try to compare it with AT 05

2. evolution and UNITE!, when I see the small picture about it...the dancers' costume is definitely looks like HAPPY ENDING!!!

3. 1 LOVE and until that Day..., Yeah you know the NEVER EVER theme and the boys wearing the leather belts on their sexy bodies (GAME, my name's WOMEN)

4. part of Me and Secret, The fan dance and the environement really remind me of Moments and walking proud. You know, Ayu's alone in the middle while dancers dance with fans and walking proud cry is nearly the same as Secret's tragic lyric.

5. SURREAL, AUDIENCE and Boys & Girls, the costume is GAME costume with more tails and fetahers plus a silver headdress

Hmm, My friend thinks that maybe Ayu would not spend much money for such a huge tour...But is there any idea about this??

Well I'm just being curious...

yea I already noticed that the performances do have some resemblance to the AT05 ones however they are not the same. The stage is similar but not the same...atleast the decorations, etc is not. AT07 is much better...I actually rewatched AT05 the other day. :D

I would wait till seeing the actual concert instead of just pics...afterall those are just pics...the actual performance might give you a totally different feeling even though they might be using the same props. I thought AT05 and AT06 had similar format too (game/my names woman, step you/ladies night) but it gives off a totally different feeling.

Moving all the stage sets and stuff overseas uses alot of money but I dont see this tour being cheap or ayu spending less at all. The costumes are completely different (maybe except for the carnval/game one...but even that the head piece and footwear is totally different) the band outfits are much better than AT05 (the band members might of used the same outfits from BEST of CDL but I noticed peco and princess outfit is kinda different- I could be wrong)

Just go less into depth with it, you're over thinking.


That's a very basic stage set up. AT06 also had the same, she's been experimenting with different stage set ups, and she seems to have fallen for the one with a catwalk and center stage. Excellent choice in my opinion. As for how the stage is themed, Secret tour seems to be all going in red while I'd like to say AT05 was all pink, if now it's possible to generalize the colors used that much.

It's quite possible they might be reusing costumes. Nothing bad with that, since they're good costumes. But I think the most likely scenario is that you just can't see the differences very well on the small pictures and they're actually new.

I don't really see why everything makes you think it's a copy of AT05. I didn't see the images, if it's very similar maybe the case is that Ayu said "I want those performances to be similar to the AT05 GAME performance". Since she has used the theme before the conclusion can be drawn that she probably likes it, using something similar again doesn't make it a copy of an old tour.

It's still just details that "remind" you of AT05, not actually any copied choreography, light settings, outfits and so on? It's just details you notice in everything, try to think about everything that's different and it's possible you'll notice even more details that's NOT like AT05 ;).

Well, since she used a similar outfit before the conclusion that she probably likes it can yet again be drawn. But in order to NOT make it a copy of the AT05 outfit she made it look a lot different, with a new headdress etc.

She probably spent more money on this tour than any of her previous tours. If only for the fact that they have to ship everything around. The cost for designing the tour can probably not even remotely compare to the cost of shipping it around.

Well, she's probably got an affinity for those styles. ;D

And they probably capture the essence of the songs she's put together, so why not?

Yeah well I'm just wondering....

Try to make a list of the things in AT07 that's not similar to AT05, and I think you just MIGHT come up with the conclusion that AT07 does not equal AT05.

I didn't even notice it looks like AT05. To me it looks like a whole different tour, and I'm not just saying that because I love Ayu.

Well, they have to haul a few thousand+++++ tons of costumes/set around Asia, so yeah.. that costs QUITE a bit of money.

And Ayu's done a lot of "newish things" in this concert..

She's got the whole evolution -> swing thing, an actual kimono on stage, CARNIVAL outfits in an AT, and so on~

The stage will probably not change, since it WORKS. Like, audience interaction-wise and so on. It's effective and people like it.

I wonder for those who went to the concert already...if they feel the concert is similar to AT05...like if it reminds them or give them the feeling of AT05.

I think that everyone who has shown us a "review" was probably too excited to be thinking about a past tour.

Sure, we think of it as similar when we just see it in photos, but to actually be there.. the experience is probably WAY different from AT05's..

And especially it gets her a lot closer to a much larger part of the audience. Imagine standing there on the center stage, the thousands of fans aren't just all in front of you, they're all around you. Screaming.

I don't quite see how that could possibly happen. Especially since the music, the main attraction in a concert, is entirely different in the two.

well thats true...I would be too busy shouting like crazy to think about other stuff during the concert...and plus the songs and arrangements would be different :D

She definately chose the stage and costumes based on the songs and the performances that she had in mind to portray the meaning. Some people said AT06's born to be costume was hideous, but I think it went perfectly with the stage visuals and the song itself.. You have to look at the whole stage and performance itself to judge it, a picture only tells a tiny percentage of what the actual performance will be like.

Well DUH. Every Arena Tour after 2005 is the same as Arena Tour 2005. XDD It's hard to beat something that's already the best. :/

i think both look different...but some thigns are similar..but i just love it! i mean..love it from those pictures..and Ayu looks so beautiful...(hey Ayu looks different and thats gd lo)

I've been to the concert, and when watching, in no way was I reminded of AT05. I thought that the costumes for Evolution/Unite did look a lot like those used at AT05, but the dance, the theme, etc. is completely different.

Ayu's in love with sexy costumes, it seems. No problem with that with fans I'm sure!! ;)

And I HOPE Ayu keeps the catwalk thing in the future. It's awesome!!! She gets to be close to her audience, and the audience goes crazy!!

^ I think the catwalk thing rocks as well. It makes it much more exciting for the audience and us at home. :3

I do and when I saw pics of AT07 I thought the same as you, and I also like AT05 a lot...

i would say that the part with the cages, male dancers with leather belts etc.. really reminded me of past concerts, i must say that ayu may jus be using the same tactics BUT FOR DIFFERENT SONGS!! if one's mind keep on thinking about past concerts, then there will be nth to look out for in ayu's AT2007!

for her stage set up, she had this set up for every AT since 2005 (and also Best of CDL 0607)! its probably the most versatile and spacious set up. thats why ayu kept on using the same set up.

Yeah as a whole I like AT 05 better than AT 06.
But it doesn't mean that I dislike AT 06 it's just there are some parts that I don't like (ex. Pride costume, Rainy day lilies crown, Startin' costume) and what makes me quite disappointed it's that HEAVEN it's not on the main set (thought it's hard to put it where).

Yeah AT 05 is like AT 07. I mean I like it as a whole, as I saw the picture for the very first time I like all of it.

I really miss the A Museum setup...a catwalk and a 2nd mini stage :(

And a CRANE!

Oh yeah, that was real creativeness. She should be using cranes again, big success imo.

or how about the birthday cake stage from AT2006 that was only in used for about 3 minutes each concert? hah.

I would love to see A museum stage again but I think it would be hard as the arenas are different and they would have to make sure the length of the whole runway + 2nd stage would fit all the arenas. A museum was only for yokohama arena right? correct me if im wrong.

I think A MUSEUM cost quite a bit of money, since it was less than 10 shows long, I think..

all i can say that the stage is looked exactly the same as CDL 06-07 stage..
but it's ok for me..
wether she's re-using the costumes the stage, i don't care, as long as she appears and singing for us...
though the costumes are not SAME with the previous AT...

Watch, when people invent the hovercraft or something similar... POP! it goes into her design. :P

I haven't seen it yet, I am waiting for the DVD. But if it was justa s awesome as the last CDL and AT combined, I'm sure I'll be sending months with that DVD. CDL was REALLY good this past year, IMO.

I think there're some elements that are different from the CDL06-07 stage..
