http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gelMnyYSIrU

dont know about you guys, but since the hk concert i've just been searching on youtube for any and every news about ayu!!!!

for those who went to the hk concert, on one of the youtube news clip, they said the audience attendence was 6,000. this sounds like a very tiny concert to her normal ones

is this correct...i mean taiwan had a audience of 35,000

Qt Mashi 10th April 2007 11:43 AM

wow 6000 is very tiny, it's like my all the students in my school + 1000

thanks for the link!! :)

~X2RADialbomber~ 10th April 2007 11:54 AM

How can that be when tickets for Hong Kong sold out in less than 3 hours, and the capacity is apparently 12,500?

truehappiness 10th April 2007 11:54 AM

Because her stage took up more than half the stadium itself..? :D

Qt Mashi 10th April 2007 12:06 PM

even that news guy said Eason was sleeping through the concert :irked it's everywhere~

Mari-chan 10th April 2007 12:08 PM

Hmm.. do only I think so.. or doesn't look the person, who go to the car, really like Ayu? The nose seems to me to big for Ayu. For me.. it is not Ayu. Maybee a Double?

tickets sold out in 2 hours, capacity maybe 12,000 but the news clip did say 6000 people

i'll try and find it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSpmN4vM_Uo

at 57 secs it says , all 6000 tickets sold out and was a full house

LacusClyne 10th April 2007 12:21 PM

well, then we had to wait for the people who went there to confirm how many people they think are there?

does it look like a 12000 or 6000 seats.

really really dunno!!!

but it does look like a small audience... not complaining....

but i felt she could've sold alot more tickets in hk...i mean tai wan sold 35000!!!!

init!!

you know what im getting at?

maybe im fustrated!!

lol

just how big is hung hum's hung kwun arena?

what is the standard capacity there?

Surreal 10th April 2007 12:32 PM

It can't be 6,000. The coliseum sold out 10,000 tickets (remember previous reports?). And I was there, definitely didnt look like only 6000. The human sea was humongous.

And er, Taiwan's Arena Dome only holds at most 15,000. ..... you can check the official website.

if they bring them all out, taiwan, hk, shanghai...i'll be the first to buy them!!

better if they sold it as a limited edition box set

init beauties?

wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

cant wait!!!

truehappiness 10th April 2007 12:43 PM

If you look at a bunch of the fanvids, the audience is definitely larger than 6k..

bluegie 10th April 2007 12:49 PM

I read a Japanese diary about the concert from Chinese newgroup. When that Japanese entered the arena, he or she was shocked about how small the place is. He even commented that it looks like a primary/secondary school gym instead. And also he talked about the runway was shorten to like 5m... There's no need for ayu to run during the concert..

I really LOL while reading that translation..

Oh.. also, he said every seat in that arena was a good seat (to be able to see ayu clearly). I guess if you buy the cheapest ticket in Japan, you won't be able to see the artist since the distance is quite big... LOL

FeNgZhEnG 10th April 2007 01:38 PM

6000?? Even singapore stadium can hold much more.. cant be so pathetic... shd be a wrong info

bluegie 10th April 2007 01:47 PM

i think it could be partially true. judging from the seating plan posted online, the stage covered half of the arena. The max capacity of the arena is about 11000 or 12000.. do if ayu occupied half of it, I think there would be around 6000 - 6500 seats. BUT if you count the seats on the ground as well, probly there would be 8000 audiences at least in the end :P.

Beauty4123 10th April 2007 04:48 PM

thanks for the video. :)

haruki 10th April 2007 05:14 PM

6000? lets say, assume one ticket cost 500HKD, in total, sales = 3,000,000HKD. which is far less than that.

Ayu spend 500,000HKD shopping when she reached HK... which is more than 10% of the total sales. Doesnt make sense at all....

4ever*ayu 10th April 2007 05:27 PM

thanks for the link, meimeilai
i've read an article about this in ayunite http://ayunite.net/forum/viewtopic.p...=asc&start=120,
(there's a lot of ayu's asia tour pics too) and they said that the audience is 6000, but ayu's asia tour 2007 HK stop has passed, let's just hope the audience will be more than that next year!!

ic3hir0 10th April 2007 05:36 PM

6000? immpossible! Hk has such a large population, 6000 isnt enough for ayu! i think its way more than this

Ava 10th April 2007 05:53 PM

i don't think that's it. i wasn't there, but ... You know, Hk is so big, like ic3hir0 said, it should be more than only 6,000!

bulmasman 10th April 2007 05:57 PM

Even if it is only 6000, it was a full house so it's still a success. The tickets didn't under-sell

Peger 10th April 2007 07:39 PM

I think It would be very obvious if only half of the stadium was full. One of the articules is probrably just incorrect.

meimeilai 10th April 2007 08:15 PM

if it was 6000 capacity

i think she should've had another date added:D

Cyria 10th April 2007 08:46 PM

meimeilai 10th April 2007 09:25 PM

another clip from her last day

hijingle 10th April 2007 09:49 PM

I was there at that moment...
And I do think there were around 6,000~7,000 audiences.

Hong Kong Coliseum can hold up to 12,000 audiences when using central stage (ie. 4-side stage) while 3-side stage can only hold up to 8,000 audiences.

And Ayu's concert was using 3-side one, plus what I had seen was that there was a small runway (used up some spaces for the seats), and the most left-hand-side and most right-hand-side sections of the seats were no audiences there. So, I think there were 6,000 ~ 7,000 audiences.

ayu_ayu301 10th April 2007 10:24 PM

GUYS, it is in fact around 6000 audience for the HK concert.

Her stage was too high and that collesium was designed for a 4-sided stage .. ayu's 3 sided stage took 1/2 of the collesium. That is why Ayu's ticket in HK cost so much ... usually a HK concert ticket cost around $480 HKD for VIP seats, but ayu's ticket cost $2000 HKD.

And it still sold out ... so ya, u can see how much power ayu has in HK hahah

WHAT A RIP OFF!

I hope it's more than 6000 people went to the bloody concert. Better be, gonkies!

Bigtop 11th April 2007 02:58 AM

6,000 attending? That's not a lot.

Life's gotta go on for Ayu, though, as she gets a good rest back in Japan...

hiro_hikaru1987 11th April 2007 04:13 AM

well the arena itself isnt that big for sure~ but i think if i want to go to the concert next year i will def go to hk since all the seats are good seats no need to worry about not able to see ayu like... clearly~!!!! and the tix well expensive .. but ihtink worth it!! DEFINITELY HK!.. if they still hold it next year and same arena..~ XD

Eigakan 11th April 2007 07:49 AM

didn't get a word of that

Cheaper than what you would pay in Japan for a good seat.

And yeah, 6,000 sounds accurate since her stage did take up half the venue. That's not dissapointing at all - all that matters is that all the tickets were sold.

Chandrachan 16th April 2007 01:23 AM

If all the tickets were sold that went on sale than the concert was a success ^^
arigatou for the link!! ^^

Ayu_Jayson 16th April 2007 03:37 PM

Only half of the stadium is used. My hk fren who provided me lodging told me. He did mention that stadium is used exclusively for concerts.

I like small size concerts haha, coz every seat is good! But if u're talking about atmosphere then nothing beats JPN concerts.

Rebirthia 16th April 2007 08:41 PM

seeing a person crossing that line (at the airport) is always sad...

isaac hiew 17th April 2007 02:51 PM

must be wrong info....... the hong kong news' credibility is always questionable.

MsMiyabi 17th April 2007 10:01 PM

6,000 isn't that a lil for AYU? Her concert looks HUGE on the dvds I seen.

how is it that a 6000-people concert be considered a ripoff?

You've just contradicted yourself.... the DVDs of her concerts are in Japan arenas... this is the Hong Kong Coliseum: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hong_Kong_Coliseum
considering the size of the stage (taking about half of the coliseum), around 6000 is about right. Keep in mind Ayu/Avex held this single concert mainly for publicity outside of Japan, a single concert will almost always earn a net loss.

Zacek 18th April 2007 06:46 PM

Thanks for the video... there's some way I can DL?
