My initiate is poker face. how to change it?

i believe the mods and admins get the whole "sentry" thing to the end of their names as well. I don't think us non-mods and non-admins get those unfortunately.

The Xavier, Guardian, Protector, Sentry, Advisor and H-Initiate titles are all reserved for staff members, previous staff members or people who contributed in special ways in the past.

'sentry' is just a name we chose to mean a moderator who is in charge of one subforum. (I suggested the name, woohoo!)

For example, I'm the Japan forum sentry :)

Yes, it should be a surprise. The Staff does not keep a public list of the ranks/post numbers. We prefer to keep it that way.

Ugh....The Mods/Admins have to many secrets about this forum for me to even care...just post your butt off and when you change initiate, just write down how many post it took....and then post it for everyone to see!

ok there's a WAY easier way that to have to write it all down and keep track... it's amazingly simple too... but it's suposed to be a pleasent suprise...

And why should it be such a big deal? Initiate titles are really not that important within the scope of everything.

And Why that is SOOO true I just think it would be cool if you guys could somehow post two ways to get the initiate that you would "prefer" like for instance I would like to log on and see (catcher_inthelight) and then underneath (catcher in the light initiate) I dunno I just think it would be cool to either have it as a surprise option OR as a chosen one cause somepeople still like surprises and wont change it ^_^ and + what if somepeople finally get the initiate they want and then feel they cant post anymore cause they dont wanna change it!! @catcher_inthelight, the newer the Ayu song is the more posts you need. Since Catcher In The Light is a pretty new song you will need tons of posts in order to achieve it (I believe there's no harm in saying you need over 6000 posts for it).

You start out as a poker face Initiate and currently the last title is part of Me, since it's the newest song.

Two ways to get the Initiate title that you prefer? There is only two ways, the first one is to post until you reach it and the second one is to become a staff member and pick the song title you want. As a staff member you won't be an Initiate, though.

Want to pick your own initiate title? Does it mean THAT much to you? Really? Go to a different forum then.

Here, it's mostly a way to tell your progression. Tons of forums work this way. You start out at the bottom, and as you get posts, you rank up. There are too many Ayu songs, I've seen the list, it's long, and I forgot how long it took to generate it, but damn, and if the staff don't want to disclose it, they don't have to. I for one have always been pro keeping it a secret. More fun that way.

You get to put whatever you want in your signature, so why do you need to fill in the initiate title? Just put whatever you'd like in your initiate title in your sig and everyone can be happy.

I dont really want to give it away, but there's a really simple way that everyone can check the list of member titles... it's really not that big of a secret...

um....the stars correspond with your post count...the more posts you have, the more stars you'll get, and they change color when you get all 5 of one color. The highest color is yellow, and no you cannot get 5 yellow stars as a regular poster.

It's easy to see an approximation of the posts you have to make to become a certain iniate. That approximation list does seem to be right under everyone's noses, so maybe it is what Cory's talking about. :D

Pure devotion, stemming from all the awesome help I got from here in the days when my Ayumi craze was fresh and lively. Also because of all the nice people I got to know, all of you I have to say, made me want to stay and give even more. I tried my best to help people out whenever there was a need and I'm one sucker for discussions, doesn't matter what they're about.

There was also another ingredient: Too much free time, which is something I no longer have.

I got AHS to thank for a lot of things and I still like it around here.

now, i don't give a crap about inititate status. i have a life other than this abstract place. i love you all, but i'm sorry, this initiate thing has nothing to do with being a loyal friend to members.

I never gave a crap about the initate titles either, but they come with the posts so it's impossible to avoid. And it's always a little fun to see it change, since some of them look quite neat :).

And for the people wondering, you need a lot less than 12,000 posts for part of Me initiate.

It's funny how much weight some people seem to put on the titles and how much people seem to bother with either caring or not caring about them. They come and go, nothing to do about it.

And considering having a life outside of AHS, I'm quite strongly convinced we all do, heh.

i don't value it too much either..but i just want to see it changing every now and then; it's so cool!...it's better not to reveal the full list..so we can keep posting actively!

Just get Ayu's song list. That's what it simply is, isn't it? That's why the guys with the highest number of posts have Ayu's recent songs.

I honestly don't see why people care so much about the initiate status. It's just a little title above your username and it changes when you post more anyways so say goodbye to your favorite song when it's your initiate since it'll be changing when you post more. I could be a "fated Initiate" (probably my least favorite Ayu song) and I wouldn't give a crap.

I think people care about the initiate status because it's something that was put here for fun (I imagine?) and they're just curious about what other ranks they can be. I care about it because I haven't bothered to check and see what ranks exist (besides the ones I've had and the obvious ones I see around the boards on other members) so it's a pleasant surprise to find a different colored star or different initiate title after I make a post. Plus I get bored of the one I have and want to see how long it'll take me to get to the next initiate without spamming or flooding the boards :P Hint: it takes a while.

5 yellow stars = STAFF position, so you can't get it unless you become a staff member here. :o
