Eason says Ayu lip-synched - Ayu fans are not buying Eason's CDs anymore.

Eason Chan said Ayumi lip-synched 1/3 of her Hong Kong concert - and this caused a huge wave of fury and commotion. Many netizens and Ayu fans are now saying they will not buy Eason's CDs in the future.

Eason said last week that Ayu lip-synched "very well", and this caused a lot of debates. Many netizens insist that Ayu did not lip-synched, and that she is the first DIVA of asia, it's only natural that she have such wonderful performing abilities. She also trained for the concert till she have abs, which is a feat compared to Eason's fat tummy. Fans also question why he knows Ayu lip-synched even though he fell asleep.

Ayu fans feel that as a father, Eason did not think through his thoughts carefully before voicing them in public. Many netizens and readers sent mails and e-mails to all major media companies requesting for Eason to make a public apology. Besides not buying his CDs, they also hope that Avex Trax will lodge a complain against Eason.

I guess people are over reacting. They haven't even seen the full picture yet. I think Eason thought she was lip synching, but ultimately, he still did think that Ayu's concert was very good and that she was a good performer. C'mon, I wonder how it would have been like if just some normal person was to voice out this kind of comment? Nothing much would have happened. He's free to voice out what he feels, and I guess on that aspect, you can't really disagree with him.

I just think people should see the bigger picture. He doesn't NOT like Ayu,on the whole I think Eason still thinks she's a great performer. It's just tabloids being selectively in what to report.

I just saw the responses of Japanese fans, they are furious. Some of them are demanding lawsuit while the others are demanding at least an official protest.

Japaneses all take this event very seriously.

Anywho, sometimes her live dvds make it sound as if their lipsynched through edited audio and the SFX they use during the lives (eg. Ladies Night AT06).... maybe Eason just has screwed up ears and can't tell the difference? (wouldn't be surprised).

I was reading the newspaper and saw this lil part article
the reporter asks how was the concert(ayu) and he replied

"I appologize, I must've been very tire from work and fell as sleep. I was sitting near the front, to make it not embarrassing I told my friend to jab me once awhile to wake me up. Overall the concert performance was excellent but I suspected that she(ayu) is lip-syncing"

^ that last part of the sentence is where the fans got furious
he fell asleep but yet thought ayu was lip-syncing?

Well I dunno about his ears, but I'm not so sure if there's anyone that can tell a difference when you are falling asleep. That could be this kind of genius but he sure does not strike me as one.

He might comment on her unbelievable performance [though it's possible for ayu and many others to sing and dance at the same time], but I cannot accept the fact that other bias people to jump to his defence without any concrete evidence that ayu lip-sync.

he's not a celebrity then, because he didn't respect ayu!

Exactly!!! like that grass group, just wanna steal attention from the newspapers, by saying anything helping the HK singer (on Eason's side). They cannot sing+dance perfectly does not mean Ayu cannot do it. Ayu is much younger than them and has a lot more conert experiences as well.

exactly, and for that carelesness i think he shoudl apologize. his comment was no that big of a deal on normal terms, everyone has their own opinion, but mututal respect is somethign completely different.

if that happened it would come from her, what that singer did is just backstabbing (sp), right or wrong he has no right whatsoever to come to the press and say something like that knowing the asia public and not being sure of what he is saying. it is just really sad, if ayus fanbase weren't that strong she could have ruined her image on the chinese market.

But in this case, EASON = exhausted by the amount of work done days before concert, and for the fact that he actually spend some time coming to Ayu's concert ( despite his tiredness ) is commendable.

Even i myself hate the "lip-synch" opinion. But again, i would like to stress on "tired". Look at the photo of him on the day he was interviewed. He looked really really tired, and it's really obvious.

being tired is no excuse? tired or not makes no difference about his comment and the thing is his comment has made Ayu look bad on her first Asia tour and any non Ayu fan would believe him.
