Both albums by Koda Kumi which one do u like more? why?

i like secret more.

while they both have a lot of material, and a great diveristy of material, i felt that secret handled everything better.
the album tracks are better, the ballads are better, the singles are just as good, and the overall flow of the album is ten times better.

while i do like black cherry, i feel like it proceeds in chunks. the songs dont flow very well into one another, and the tracklist actually takes away from the songs. i mean, ningyo hime followed by yume no uta really takes away from both tracks.

also, black cherry tends to drag a bit. i have the first press of both albums, the bonus tracks on black cherry just keep going and going. that also takes away from the album. but at the same time, if it were to stop right at milk tea, the ending would be so abrupt! there's no better scenario.
the bonus tracks on secret only drag a touch. there was really no need for its a small world, and i dont like that song at all. i loooove hot stuff, so the extra remix of that was nice.

overall, while both albums are comparable in variety and general concept, secret was just much better in execution.

I actually much preferred the flow of Black Cherry. Secret loses it at the end and finishes with some really weak songs whilst except for Milk Tea there were 3 singles at the end of BC.
Get Down > Cutie Honey, wth? That's much worse than any fast song to a ballad on Black Cherry, and Shake It seems thrown in between Hearty and kiseki.

Then there's the bonus tracks. OMG how awful is 'It's a small world' That loses Secret so many points.

However, all the album tracks on BC were rather mediocre whereas Secret has LOVE HOLIC, Trust You and Selfish so that gives it a bit of a plus over BC.

I voted BC, but it was a hard choice.

"secret" ... I just like the overall "feel" of this album ... I love Koda in this era ... before she got mega famous and it was all about the money...

Black Cherry. I thought secret was quite bland and Cutie Honey was the only song that really stood out. The Black Cherry songs were much more interesting, IMO, even though the album seems to have disappointed some of her big fans.

Definitly secret.
secret had a larger range of songs and higher quality with a lot of thoughts and dancy styles and some good ballads. It wasn't rushed too (that's why it was better).

I like Secret better. it has all my favorite Kuu songs.

Black Cherry was a bit letdown, all the best songs from the album were already on 4 Hot Wave imo.

I like Secret way better. I like all the songs, and it flows better.

Secret. The stuff in Secret was so much better in terms of J-Urban music and originality. Black Cherry was just a mixture of pop and some urban which didn't flow well imo. Also Kumi trying to be cute annoyed me.

I like both.. but secret had many surprises in it which made me love it heaps..
Black Cherry was pretty good but so many of the songs were released previously I was unable to cherish the album like I did with secret...

Secret ***** all over black cherry...Secret has more dance and R&B sorta songs rather than the bland ones in BLACK CHERRY, although Black cherry is not all bad but overall Secret is better!

I prefer Black Cherry!

Black Cherry - I like more songs on the album than Secret

I like Secret more...more or less becuase I liked almost all of the album tracks and single tracks....and the b-sides for the singles I really enjoyed too. Trust You was by far one of her best album tracks...next to rain imo, Hearty for me was cutsey...I liked it a lot though, I loved the intro...if I had to choose between Introduction and Get Down~Intro~ It's definately GD~I~, so basically it's AWESOMENESS/WTF!!!...lol

From Black Cherry I don't really count a track unless it's an original mix, and the Won't Be Long Cherry Versions we're excluded for me and there were really only a few tracks from this album that I liked aside from a few single tracks, and I'm really mad that Futari De...didn't make it onto this album it deserved a spot just as much and Yume No Uta.

BLACK CHERRY, the Secret cover looks nicer tho XD

I like Black Cherry better, only becaus eI'm a fan of her newer works, the only reason why I downloaded Secret was because SHAKE IT was on it :laugh

I'm happy Hot Stuff is on it thought too :D

BLack Cherry is better in my general opinion though.

ofcourse Secret is better than black cherry...it contains better songs and her voice was better...but black cherry's cover looks better than Secret.

Well, Secret was my first Kuu album, and I bought it before she was even huge, so it has a special place in my heart. However, there were quite a few crappy tracks on that album that were just dissappointing, so I might have to lean toward Black Cherry.

Black Cherry was better when it came to single tracks like JUICY, Ningyo-hime, Cherry Girl.. but the too many ballads spoiled BC. Secret was amazing when it came to every track.. like Shake It, Selfish, Trust You, Hot Stuff... and the album tracks weren't that bad either

I love both albums, but I like Black Cherry better. It's my favorite album from her. I like secret's covers and inside pics better though. But Black Cherry is simply an amazing album. It has so many different songs and that's why I love it. It has rock songs, ballads, cutey songs, sexy songs... Black Cherry also has my favorite song from her, Yume no Uta. And I love the name of the album too.

Black Cherry all the way. I personally think that secret is Kuu's worst album. Nothing flowed at ALL. I don't get why people are saying it flows great. SHAKE IT shouldn't be next to Hearty... and Keseki. Believe shouldn't be next to Let's Party. Intro was too dirty to be next to Cutie Honey.

The only flow problem with Black Cherry was Ningyo-Hime -> Yume no Uta and JUICY -> Candle Light.

Black Cherry had a lot more production and I found myself loving all the tracks. secret had a great start, but fell apart after Hearty... (Save SHAKE IT and Trust you).

really? none of her albums flow well imo (except for BEST~bounce & lovers~), especially not Black Cherry lol. there are always ballads in random places (like between dance songs) and etc. i don't think anyone should judge a kuu album on its flow

I didn't really judge secret on flow. Just most of the tracks on secret were filler and bored me to death. Black Cherry just had the better overall production value.

I have to say both. I love both of these albums equally as I love almost every Kuu album. :D But seriously, choosing between these two is too hard even for me. Usually it's easy for me to choose but when it comes to Kumi's albums, I just can't. :D So that's why I chose both option.
